The hotel location is fantastic, right in the centre of Platres, the staff are very friendly and overall we had a wonderful 2 night break.

Our room was small, which we knew from reading previous reviews, but the shower was too small. I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel bathroom where you had a shower curtain, rather then a screen. The hotel bar and restaurant are very expensive, so we drank and ate at the bistro directly opposite the hotel, which is actually owned by Petit Palais.

Nice historic building, good interior desing, clean and very well maintained from lobby to rooms throughout, (power) showers impressive by local standards, sauna and steam room on the top floor are great , breakfast was excellent quality and value for money; onsite restaurant super nice, prompt, convenient and friendly with child and accomodating to all our extra dining needs - I could return for a meal just travelling nearby; manager was prompt to address a small issue and was super nice. Our corner room was small but well organized and very well lit (morning and daytime) from two sides, blinds and high quality balcony doors blocked all street noises and light at night. AC unit worked perfectly - quiet and accurate. Bed was comfortable, baby cot -- a high quality safe cot from top maker. Special kids toiletries were provided in addition to already nice shampoo etc. Staff are (99%) very friendly and attentive and helpful. Yes, there are beautiful views from the restaurant terrace and most of the rooms; the al fresco cafe facing the street is well shaded and serves fine restaurant food with super service. Our room was ready for earlier check-in so special thanks for that. As a family we liked everything so much that want to come again.

only a minor misunderstanding (from my side) happened at the check in and it was actually very easy to resolve by the manager, but a member of staff at first preferred an educating monolog instead of actually understanding the subject. The manager swiftly understood the matter and assured there was no issue. Parking options could be clearer described for first-timers (there are couple of spaces by the hotel and more parking up and down the street, some paid some free).

The hotel is fantastic! The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options. We really enjoyed the private sauna — such a great touch for relaxation. The New Year’s unlimited sweets bar on the ground floor was a lovely surprise and added to the festive atmosphere. One of the most delightful details was the evening delivery of the weather forecast accompanied by sweet treats — such a thoughtful and unique gesture! The restaurant is phenomenal; we had the chance to try wild boar for dinner, and it was exquisite. The rooms were wonderfully warm, and we appreciated that hot water was available instantly — a pleasant contrast to what we’re used to on the coast.

The only suggestion I would make is to provide complimentary drinking water in the rooms, as most hotels around the world do, instead of selling it via the minibar. Despite this minor point, it doesn’t detract from the overall experience. The hotel truly went above and beyond in every other aspect!

Sparkling clean ,warm welcome, comfortable room and bed, and the sauna/steam bath, which was particularly appreciated after a day of hiking. All staff were professional and kind. Updated outlets had USB and USB-C capability. Nice minibar with reasonable prices. Breakfast was beautifully presented with lots of fresh options, including a selection of local pickles and spoon sweets. .

Room was very hot from the afternoon sun, so I opened the balcony door to cool it down. I was really enjoying the fresh air until someone in the neighboring room starting smoking..the balconies are really close together, so there was no escaping it except to close the door.. TV had a lot of stations, but not much English content.

Me and my wife had a great stay at Petit Palais. Very clean hotel and friendly and accommodating staff. Great selection on the breakfast. We also ate twice at the restaurant and both nights we enjoyed the food and the service. Their prices are also very reasonable and the portions very satisfying. Must try the portokalopitta, it’s out of this world. Kudos to Michalis at the front desk for taking his time to explain and guide us for places to visit in the area. If you are into hiking, wine tasting and Mountain View’s you will not be disappointed. Everything is within minutes or less than half hour driving distance.

Wow, what a great little place ! Arrived during a downpour, but was met at the car with umbrellas and assistance with getting our bags inside. Lightning fast check-in with a welcome drink of local Commandaria wine - beautiful. Our room was slightly small, but I was already aware of that during the booking process. Spotlessly clean, and very quiet given that it was right beside the elevator. Small balcony gave a nice view down the valley. Cosy bar area with huge cigar selection (not that I smoke). On-site restaurant was magnificent - had dinner there and the choice, although limited, was excellent in quality, size and taste. Breakfast offered the usual fare, fresh and appealing - and more great views down the valley. Very friendly staff made sure our stay was easy !

Good location close to parking. The sauna was nice. Complimentary welcome drink and dessert. The staff was pleasant to talk to. The room was nice even if it was small and the balcony had a great view of the forest.

Expensive for what they provide. No complimentary water, no coffee machine only instant coffee and a kettle in the room. The breakfast was not buffet style as they said and described on booking ("superb breakfast" on the listing page) they only had a few guests which is not an excuse when you charge 4 star hotel prices. The room was too hot even though the heating setting was at the lowest so we had to have the window open during the night and hear the noises from the outside.

I have stayed here before and this visit was as always fabulous. From the minute I walked through the door my bags were whisked away and a welcoming glass of Commandaria was handed to us is whilst we booked in. All our rooms with balconies looking over the valley were comfortable and clean and bedding and towels top class. A powerful shower, mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities enhanced our stay which was relaxing and very enjoyable. The staff were exceptional, natural and genuinely friendly ensuring we were informed and cared for without fuss. Our cocktails on the balconies to the rear of the dining room was highlight late afternoon with shade and a nice breeze and our dinner later that night was 5 star. Bring a big appetite!

Cannot fault anything about our stay!

Lovely hotel. The room is on the smaller side, but very comfortable and clean. The curtains are particularly beautiful. The balcony is small, but allowed fresh air in. What we appreciated the most was the service. Around 19H a chamber maid came by with a small cake for each one and a card with the following day's weather. The ladies at reception were extremely helpful, one even spoke perfect French. The restaurant staff was efficient, and helped me organise a bottle of champagne and a cake for a birthday. Free parking is available during low season 50 metres away from the hotel. Breakfast was wonderful! There is a chef to prepare what one would like. The eggs benedict were heavenly! It is an excellent departure point to do the Milomeris waterfall, Caledonian waterfall trail and Atalante trail.

The restaurant is rather pricey. Our balcony was above the kitchen, so there was noise until perhaps 22H, and early in the morning. We wanted to sleep with the balcony window open, but it was noisy due to cars passing by, cats meowing at night and road works in the morning. The room stayed rather hot, but once the balcony door is closed the AC works.

The staff was extremely friendly upon entry, we were greeted with a glass of commandaria which started off our trip fantastically! The facility was very clean and very easily accessible with the public parking so near by, the complimentary breakfast and night time sweet was a delight and we really appreciated the touches the hotel had to offer such as providing us with the daily forecast.

The parking is practical off season but if the village is busy it could be quite difficult to find parking nearby
