This was an excellent hotel, a walking distance from the station. We even walked to Costco, which was less than 25 minutes away!. It was raining when we arrived, the staff gave us umbrellas and kept our luggage for us until checkin time. There is a convenience store next door. Oh, the breakfast was just wonderful for me. We managed to taste everything but had difficulty using chopsticks 😀. The bathtub was YUGE, and the missus loved it!!! The bed was certainly bigger than the comments I saw online , and my wife and I found it very comfortable and spacious...we are not small. :) This is a very good hotel, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I am not sure if this is a fair complaint,but I would have preferred a description of what was in the food...breakfast, that is. Otherwise, there is absolutely no comment from me.

Bedroom was big! Fantastic! Toilet is updated. Food is good but not much selection.

Food is limited to 4 choices only.

Conveniently located near Hiroshima Station which made it easy to get around the city via tram and bus. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety during our 4 days stay. Laundry facilities made it easy to have clean clothes. Convenience store located next door for late night snacks and microwave in lobby meant we could heat our food easily.

Dining area for breakfast was cramped which made it somewhat difficult to get in and out of our seats to replenish food/drinks.

Staffs were friendly and ready to help with questions. Location is near to Hiroshima train station .. facilities are well maintained and like they make a point to serve local Japanese breakfast. They have those hanger string install in the toilet which make it easy if you want to hang few pcs of clothes after washing

Need to indicate the direction or exit to chose from the train station to reach hotel as there is a north and south exit ..

This hotel is around a 5 minute walk to Hiroshima Station and while it seems secluded, has a wide variety of stores and restaurants all around it. MaxValu is one example of a store close to the hotel that is great! The staff in this hotel are always friendly and accommodating and the breakfast staff are also fantastic. Would definitely recommend the Onigiri! The hotel itself is quite modern and the rooms were clean, well sized and equipped. The hotel facilities, such as laundry and amenities were pleasant as well. Would definitely keep booking here on my next trip to Hiroshima.

One friend complained about the view of a parking lot, however I thought this was completely fine. Just thought I would mention it however!

This is not the first-time I stayed at a Toyoko-Inn ... and this business hotel chain continues to live up to my expectations. To me Toyoko-Inn doesn't try to be anything else but shines as a simple, efficient and value based hotel. LOCATION: this property is 10mins walk from the North exit of Hiroshima Train station - half of which is undercover. Very good location if your primary mode of travel is Shinkansen. There is a grocery store (MaxValu) on the way which is very convenient. CLEAN: the room is small and functional/adequate (this is Japan after all). Toyoko-Inn maintains a very high cleanliness standard. There are coin-op washing machines and dryers downstairs for a nominal fee. THE BREAKFAST: my room-rate included breakfast which I thought was just sensational value. Its Japanese style buffet breakfast (may not be to everyones taste) and there was a large selection of items to choose from. Just brilliant - keep it up Toyoko-Inn !!!

Try to cater more for families with kids (under 12) by having a roll-out bed in the room. The hotel is about a 30 min walk from the main shopping/food district (Hondori) which is not a huge issue but needs to be taken into consideration.

The location was about a five-minute walk from the main Shinkansen/subway station in the city, which made it much easier to get around. The area has many restaurants and is quiet at night. The breakfast comprised of onigiri, soups, rice, breads, and other staples which varied daily. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Since there were many washing and drying machines available, laundry was also comfortable. Overall a great stay for a great price!

Not too far from the rail station, but far enough you didn't get the rail noise. Breakfast was good, with a mix of Japanese and western options. Made use of the on-site laundry facilities here, which were clean and reasonably priced. Check in/out is largely automated, which made it quick and fairly efficient.

The room is very no-frills, but for the price point, I wasn't expecting any. Given the quality of the breakfast, I feel it really exceeded expectation more than anything.

The location was very close to Hiroshima Station, and the machine/automated check-in and check-out were very easy to use. Also, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checkout while we did a day trip to Miyajima. The staff member was also very nice and lent us an umbrella because the forecast said it would rain. The room was also larger than I expected. It was so nice to be able to pack luggage comfortably!

The lobby was very crowded and loud when I checked in.

Great friendly staff. Few minutes from Hiroshima train station. Hot and cold water felicity in the lobby.

Breakfast was only catered for indigenous people which look great, but as for westerner tourist you get some bread and croisants and running butter. No drinking water supplied which is a norm in Japanese hotels????!!!
