Beautiful elegant charming 14th century building. Lotsa thoughts put in to make this place cosy classy & so special. We had a short chat with the manor owner & can sense the effort and sincerity put into this beautiful countryside manor, so impressed with the top quality facilities, staff and food. The food is simply amazing. Some say it’s the best in Cotswold, we had 2 nights stay and took dinner on both nights. It’s the best meal we had in our 2 weeks trip & I dare to say it’s Michelin star worthy. It was my husband birthday & I’m so glad he had the most perfect stay. We would love to come back to stay again. We loved having the 2 resident cats around too. They are so adorable.

Nothing at all.

The most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at! Me and my mother stayed there for 3 nights in the beginning of october 2024 and we loved everthing about the place. Located in a beautiful area a gorgeous old manor renovated in a luxourious way with extraordinary comfort and taste. The best bed I have ever slept in. Amazing difuser. Stunning bathroom. Comfortable robs. Tasty thé and delicious cookies in the room. Great breakfast and dinner. Amazing staff!! Every single one! Stunning nature, cute sheep. Lovely to arrive to the room with calm classical music turned on upon arrival. Free parking. Practical electrical charing of car. Recommend to everyone! They also have a pool but we did not have the time to visit unfortunately. Also possible to book a massage, do this in advance to get an appointment. So cozy to dit in the common room by the fire in the evening with a cup of the.

Lovely old manor with modern comforts. Our group of four couples stayed in suites that were large. The staff were friendly and attentive e.g. setting up the tables for dinner in the format we specified. Food and drink at dinner were great, and breakfast was large with local and home made ingredients.

The ladies would have liked stronger lighting in the bedrooms, all commenting that they had problems with putting on makeup and contact lenses Some beams throughout the manor were low. A warning might be put on one of them, in the dining room, which was easy for tall people to hit hit.

Breakfast - excellent. Location - good. Staff - mostly excellent.

Value for money - poor. Little things (which eventually add up) - eg bathroom needed redecoration, bedroom window was cracked and would not open (or even close properly), hotel needed more direction signs (but front-of-house thought that it was fine, so there was no point in mentioning that), final bill omitted the cost of the previous night's bill - when I mentioned it, there was hardly an acknowledgement, let alone a thank you. Finally, out of a £450 bill, a free drink for my wife's birthday would have been nice, Instead of a scribbled handwritten note in the bedroom!

The property is absolutely stunning. It is surrounded by open farmland and the house was built in the 1300’s as are the small villages around it. The room was disappointing and did not match the photos on the web site but when I spoke to the manager, she immediately put my husband and me in a much better room at a comparable cost. The staff was courteous, helpful and available. The breakfast was included and very good. Dinner was not included but good quality.

While the location is beautiful, it is absolutely necessary to have a car. Even the nearest town of Eberington or Chipping Camden are a long walk both ways. Cabs are possible but get expensive if you over use them. Don’t get me wrong, driving through this exquisite countryside is a joy but if you’re not comfortable with driving on the other side of the roads as custom demands don’t go here because driving is a must.

Beautiful hotel in great location, 10 minutes drive from Chipping Campden and 20 minutes drive to Stow-on-the-Wold. Stunning grounds and views. The public areas of the hotel were well maintained and nicely decorated. We had a double bedroom over looking the courtyard. The room was large with separate seating area, comfortable bed and good size ensuite with bath and separate shower. We ate in the restaurant the first night and the meal was good quality, as were the breakfasts. An added bonus was the pool, which is well maintained, and luckily we had it to ourselves each time we used it. The staff were excellent, always helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them.

If you read the reviews and the the hotel description it states recent renovations have been made to the rooms (more expensive) in the main part of the hotel, whilst ours was in the older part. Though the décor in our room was a little outdated and there were some minor gremlins, unable to regulate temperature of the shower and the space around the toilet a little tight, did it effect the enjoyment of our stay, not at all.

The lovely old beautiful buildings which exude class and old fashioned style. The staff were quite excellent and helpful. The dinner and breakfast was exceptionally good in all respects. Our room was a delight and very spacious with views over the magnificent countryside. One could walk into the lovely countryside from the hotel. So many delightful places to visit within easy reach with a car.

The only point of dissatisfaction we had, and which we mentioned to the receptionist who looked after us so well, was that there was a faint drain smell in the en suite bathroom.

Location was beautiful. Staff were excellent. Restaurant good. Food delicious. Hospitality tray good. Fluffy dressing gown and slippers supplied. Bed comfortable. Room clean and in a 3 day stay towels replaced after 2 nights. Room not overly big but big enough for 2 comfy chairs. 2 public lounges. There was a pool. Not used.

TV was probably 25 years old. Didn't even have all free view channels. Some were programmed to run an hour behind, don't quite know how or why. Subtitles kept coming on whenever channel was changed. Bathroom shower had clearly had work done as there was a square patch on the wall that had been cut through and poorly replaced. Was told on leaving, the room was up for refurbishment. Considering the price wouldn't expect a room that required refurbishment. No information given about the pool, opening times, facilities. No mention of it in room literature.

My entire stay was perfect. Absolutely faultless. When I got out of my car adjacent to the hotel reception, all I could hear was silence. A beautifully peaceful countryside setting. Check in was outstanding. Anything and everything I might have asked about was all covered, and I was personally escorted to my room. The room was superb. Comfortable bed with huge pillows, excellent wardrobe, lots of drawer space, good armchairs, nice thick full-length curtains, large bathroom with separate bath and walk-in shower, mineral water provided and great tea/coffee making facility. Lovely bar for a pre-dinner drink. Service and food in the excellent ambience of the restaurant were both magnificent. Breakfast again in the restaurant was exactly as I'd hoped. Check out friendly, professional and efficient. I will definitely be back.

Nothing!

Excellent greeting and shown to our room which is always a nice touch. Also shown the lounge, dining room and swimming pool. Hotel has been upgraded and modernised since our last stay and has been well done, retaining the character of the original Manor. Dinner and breakfast were very good.

Bedroom was quite cold on arrival until we managed to turn the radiator on. Swimming pool is pleasant and unusual in the Cotswolds but would be improved with a hot tub and sauna/steam rooms. Open fire in the lounge should be burning all day to make it a more welcoming room.
