A lovely building and plenty of outside space Room was lovely Friendly staff

The food at dinner was disappointing. The fish overcooked and the paella more like a risotto Not keen on dogs and we were unaware our room was in a a dog friendly space .

Everything from start to finish met with our requirements, the buildings and quiet location was exactly what we needed for a much needed break. The food at breakfast and evening meals were of good quality and well prepared with others who had specific needs or preferences were well catered for. The waiting staff were all very friendly and efficient. I made a mistake when paying my bill and on the card machine gratuity button I entered my pin number by mistake leaving a substantial tip the management reviewed this and thought it was probably a mistake came into the breakfast room told me about it and rectified something that they had no obligation to do I applaud their honesty and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Punching above its weight as a 3 star hotel. A luxury room is worth the extra money with huge bathroom, comfortable 6ft bed and sofa. Refurbished to a nice standard. Staff were friendly and professional. We preferred our night here to a previous visit to The Hoste…which is a lot more expensive! Great location easily walkable to the beach. Good for gluten free: toast and croissants available at breakfast on request. 👏🏻

It is dog friendly, which wasn’t an issue for us as dog lovers, but worth bearing in mind you may see and hear the odd pooch. Coffee at breakfast could be improved in quality at breakfast. Fresh milk and bottled water in the room fridge would have been a nice touch. All these points are minor constructive suggestions. We recommend a stay at The Caley.

Location was superb. Excellent place to be located to reach all the local North Norfolk must sees. 5 mins drive away from Drove Orchards with the famous Eric’s fish and chips, pizza, ice cream shop and a new excellent taco place. 10mins walk round to Old Hunstanton beach which happily for our dog was dog friendly and large stretches of sand so plenty of space for the whole family. Breakfast was really good, simple selection but good quality, hot food was hot and fresh each morning and cooked well. No complaints at all. Staff were friendly and helpful. Staff were doing maintenance around the hotel grounds daily which is always great to see that they are putting in the effort to maintain the property to a good standard. Lots of cleaning, sweeping and everyone we passed greeted us in a friendly manner. Cleaning of rooms were done to a high standard.

Rooms could have been a little bit bigger but it was fine for a couple of nights stay where we spent a lot of time exploring the local area. Our main priority was a good location and dog friendly which the hotel was perfect for on both points.

We had an excellent stay at Caley Hall. We booked a Superior room with breakfast. The room was immaculate, beautifully presented and incredibly large and clean. The ensuite was also huge, with a bath and a shower in it, also impeccably clean. We chose to have dinner here as well, the food was all delicious with a good choice of options and was presented beautifully, as was the breakfast. Great quality produce as well. We loved that the menu had abbreviations underneath showing you what allergens where in every dish, they also checked if we had any dietary requirements when we came into the restaurant. The staff here are amazing, really friendly, helpful and attentive, nothing seemed like too much trouble. It is a gem of a hotel, we absolutely loved it.

The hotel consists of a set of very pleasant buildings, mostly on one level. Our room was large and comfortable with a fully-functioning bathroom attached. Breakfast was satisfactory with just about enough choice. There was a good menu for dinner in the evening, and the quality of the cooking met our expectations and hopes. Old Hunstanton itself offers only one other good eating option. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Some were clearly still learning their roles. Parking facilities were excellent.

With one good exception there were no other restaurants or cafes within walking distance.

We've stayed here on a number of occasions. Location is perfect for exploring this part of Norfolk and you rarely need to use a car because of the excellent Coastliner bus services. There is a bus stop within 5 minutes of the hotel. Rooms were perfectly adequate for our 3 night stay. Breakfast was good and restaurant an attractive and welcoming place. However, the stars of the stay were those who attended us at breakfast - always smiling, time to chat to visitors without compromising efficiency!

It would have been helpful if the rooms had a wardrobe of some sort to hang up clothes but even though we stayed for 3 nights it did not present any problems,

Liked Most everything, breakfast was really nice and plenty of choice, staff very friendly and attentive, the whole place beautifully decorated, parking available at no charge, they accommodated our food allergies, room was very spacious even though it was a classic you can upgrade if you want, also it had a seating area which was nice, the shower was nice and big so you could move in it I am not a big person but some you can’t , very clean and overall a lovely little pace to stay.

Only two things really the mattress has seen better days very soft and felt the springs so not very comfortable, also the toy area just outside the room (18) really should be in the family area as a bit noisy but these are easy fixes for the property and if done would be the ultimate perfect stay,

Very relaxing, bright, and open decor. Quiet location. Dog friendly🐕 Staff are friendly, helpful & intuitive & have a sense of humour. 😁 The bar area has lots of lovely comfortable sofas. The food is good. But portions are a little on the small side. Breakfast is buffet style & very good. The staff could not have been more helpful. They provided my husband with a brekkie to bring back to the room for me, as I had an early appointment with parkrun🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ The room was outside of the hotel, with a small porch, so good for the dog. The internal stairs were very steep and directly behind the very heavy door. If you have mobility issues, it will be a problem. There is a doggie shower just outside of the rooms. Very handy.

That we only had 1 night here.

A unique Hotel & beautifully decorated, clean & tidy throughout, efficient & friendly staff couldn’t do enough for you, felt very welcomed. Our room was stunning & comfortable. All meals serviced in the restaurant were very good. Great location & short stroll to the beach. Your hanging baskets were stunning 😍too.

Found the bedroom got very warm 🥵 during the night but can’t be helped as we were staying during a mini heatwave. There was a fan in the wardrobe & we did bring one of our own too. It’s Probably not worth getting mini air conditioning units for each room for the occasional hot spell.
