Doriano and Giovanna are so warmhearted hosts, taking great care of their guests with their amiable Italian soul. It was a great pleasure to stay at their house and garden with interesting historic backgrounds and that they have refurbished with love to the details. The breakfast is prepared with fresh fruit salad, tasty local food and delicious, daily changing cake, homemade by Giovanna. They always have top tips how to travel best around Lago di Como, which is only a few minutes walk away and can be easily explored as the bus and ferry stations are close to the B&B. The combination of the mesmerizing Lago di Como scenery with this gorgeous accommodation with local Italian flair, the thoughtful conversations with the hosts and the invigorating breakfast made our holidays perfect.

The owners have restored the property sympathetically and brought back the original charm but with some modern features. The welcome was warm and friendly, parking is readily available and we were even offered the owners private drive if the parking got full (it never did). We stayed in the apartment which was extremely spacious and very clean. There is no aircon (would not be in keeping with style of property) but a fan can be provided on request. Breakfast - there is sooo much! Local produce, meats and cheese. The local yoghurt is amazing. The home made cakes add a very nice personal touch. Breakfast is normally taken in the garden but if you give notice you can eat indoors - during our stay we had issues with Mosquitoes so preferred inside but do give notice. Speak to the hosts about what you want and where. We felt a little guilty leaving so much food. The location is set back from the lake and town square but within easy walking distance especially to the Ferry and some very good local restaurants that the host recommended. The War Museum is a must - very well done. Overall a great location to explore the North of the lake. We even managed a day trip into the Alps.

The mosquitoes in summer are active morning and evenings. Nothing to do with the apartment or cleanliness just come prepared

This renovated property is absolutely stunning! The owners have taken such care with the renovation to make the property as authentic to the time as possible. All rooms have original antique furnitures, and the ceilings are adorn with 19th century frescos, we even had a special 18th century fresco of Dongo on our wall that was uncovered during the renovation. The hosts are so lovely and attentive, and very helpful with any queries you may have and have plenty of recommendations! Breakfast is lovely with a selection of locally supplied foods. The B&B is very close to some lovely restaurants (Bumbarin was a recommendation for the hosts and the best meal we had on our trip). The town of Dongo is lovely and quiet, less touristy compared to other towns on Lake Como, but still very close to the town of Menaggio, and Villa del Balbianello which was a highlight of ours.

We stayed at the B&B for six nights and had the most wonderful time. Giovanna and Doriano are to us the epitome of what B&B hosts should be - they go out of their way for their guests, provide valuable tips on what to do around lake Como, and show genuine interest in you personally. Furthermore, they serve a delicious breakfast with local products and have an amazing sidekick in the form of the truly adorable Tea, a black labrador: what's not to like? (we really liked having Tea around, but we also noticed that Giovanna and Doriano made sure that Tea stays in the house when people don't want to have her around). Lastly, the B&B looks just great. It has a really authentic feel (all rooms look different) and is very comfortable.

Although we appreciate the fact that constructive feedback could be valuable to Giovanna and Doriana, we sincerely cannot think of anything we didn't like. Hopefully the B&B stays the way it is. We definitely want to go back here!

One of the best accomodations we have ever experienced. Villa Rosalinda offers stunning architecture and a lovely, spacious garden. The hosts Doriano and Giovanna are doing it with so much passion and make you feel home. They can also give great recommendations on discovering the area. Breakfast is a perfect mix of high quality local products which makes you start the day with healthy food in a relaxing atmosphere. Villa Rosalinda is located in a beautitul narrow alley and a great starting point for activities in the area at Lago di Como. Beach is only 5 minutes walking distance, main place of Dongo only 2 minutes with nice dining opportunities. Free parking spaces are available directly in front of the property.

We had a pleasure to stay 3 great nights at Doriano and Giovanna. We were accommodated in beautiful clean room with bathroom and most comfortable bed. These family concept of accommodation realy grabbed our hearts. Tasty breakfast (10/10) from local sources was served everyday with great coffee. Beach and restaurants are very close because location is in city centre of Dongo - there is also a Ferry stop that we used to travel to Bellacio. A fantastic stay at the villa. The owners are so lovely, warm and welcoming. We loved our room and we were super comfortable during our stay. The villa has such a special energy and so LUSH! Beauty everywhere! We enjoyed every breakfast in the garden (they source local produce such as cheese, meats & fruits as well as serve home baked goods). We were able to park our hire car safely which is a bonus. The location is wonderful, close to a gelateria & restaurants (we recommend Osteria del Bumbardin & book ahead), ferry port and walking distance to beaches. Would love to stay here again, was sad to leave!

A beautifully restored house with lots old details and modern conveniences. Giuliana and Doriano take great pride in their B&B which is also their home. They were warm and welcoming. We were very interested in the house and they were eager to share its history with us. They gave us helpful information on the ferries, which villas to visit and restaurants. We stayed 3 nights, the room and bed were very comfortable, the bedding and towels were very high quality. Breakfast was served in the spacious garden, surrounded by flowering bushes and ancient trees. They pride themselves on serving locally grown or raised products. We had fruit from their farm, local jams, cheeses and meats, as well as breads, juice and coffee. This is an exceptional property.

The B&B was a little hard to find, as the street address didn't show up in the car GPS system. But once we did find the B&B, it was easy to find it again. Parking was convenient and safe.

Very very nicely restored old villa maintaining the charm which added to to whole experience, location was excellent our room was lovely, gardens were lovely, off road parking for our motorbike, Hospitality from hosts excellent very passionate and knowledgeable, breakfast was excellent and seating available in the garden which was divine, don’t be put off by the 3star rating I can not fault this b&b obviously due to the care in maintaining the character it’s been marked down by website but spotlessly clean throughout,comfy bed lovely shower and really peaceful. Bars and restaurants very short walk as is the ferry service will definitely stay here again next time we visit the area

Everything was lovely! The location is great, away from the main square so its quiet, but close to the imbarcadero, so you can take your ferry in the morning. If you want to stay away from the hordes of tourists in the main Como towns, Dongo is perfect. The hosts are a lovely family, very welcoming and friendly, they make you feel at home, and you can see they really enjoy receiving people. Always available to give advice and restaurant tips, how to move around, etc...The breakfast is made up of local products and homemade cakes, delicious! Really enjoyed the local yogurt brought in from the mountains and the cakes Giovanna masters so well, we will surely come back!
