Beautifully converted in a modern and simplistic style within a 15th century Italian villa. You could feel the warmth and history as soon as you stepped in. The villa is very near the lake and lack of lake views did not spoil our stay one bit. The villa is super close to lots of restaurants, bars and cafes. A comfy bed and lovely jacuzzi bath meant for us that it was a romantic place to stay for my partners birthday. We spent a couple of hours in the sunny garden which was very pleasant but didn’t try the pool or out door whirl pool. We both agreed the villa and area were perfect and led to one of our best trips away. Sonia one of the owners was more than a perfect host, helping me with a lovely bottle of wine and personalised birthday cake for my partner. She was always so helpful and full of advice for the local area. We will be revisiting soon.

Nothing to dislike

I recently spent three nights with my family at Villa Vinicia, and I can only say that we were absolutely delighted with the accommodation, amenities, and the hosts. The apartment was fully equipped, very clean, and tidy, with a beautiful view of the large garden featuring a pool and jacuzzi, which we had the pleasure of enjoying even though it was the end of October. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly. Before our arrival, she sent us a welcoming message and a video in fluent German, introducing herself and explaining the various services they offer, such as grocery shopping, breakfast delivery, massage, wine, chocolate, strawberries, bouquet of flowers with a note, and many other special requests you might have upon arrival, and also assistance with luggage, and directions to the nearest free parking nearby. The villa itself is impressive and majestic, over 300 years old, and its decor and details tell the story of times gone by. Stepping through the doorstep feels like being transported back in time. It was truly a unique experience for us. I highly recommend Villa Vinicia for anyone looking for a memorable stay!

Our family had an incredible stay at Villa Vinicia. We had a three bedroom apartment and had plenty of room for the six of us. Everything was spotless, and the apartment was fully stocked with anything we could need. Sonia is an excellent host and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. She is accommodating and went out of her way to help us. The apartment is in a beautiful 17th Century villa that has been lovingly restored, a short walk to the supermarket, great restaurants, and both a bus stop and a ferry terminal. Domaso is beautiful. We would absolutely stay again.

Sonia was a wonderful host, super helpful and easy to communicate with. We had some issues with the room AC, which she helped us fixing immediately ; she then even got us a nice bottle of red wine for our trouble ! The villa is located in a calm, lovely village, less crowded and noisy than other places around the lake. Having the jacuzzi inside the room was definitely a great addition to our stay. We also liked that it was possible to fully help ourselves with coffee, tea, biscuits but even pasta and sauce if needed. The building itself also has a lot of charm!

The room only had a ceiling window that you (obviously) cannot open while it is raining. As a result, it can feel a little bit stifling when the bath is hot, and no window can be opened.

Villa Vinicia exceeded our expectations. Beautifully restored villa with updated amenities. The host, Sonia, was very helpful and facilitated parking and dinner reservations. She picked two of her favorite restaurants and and made the reservations for us and both were excellent. The neighborhood is very nice full of all the amenities we wanted in a Lake Como town but without as many crowds as Como and Bellagio. Highly recommend.

Great hosts and a great location. 5 minutes to the lake and 15 minutes to a busy beach with lots to do for young and old. We loved hiring a small boat for a few hours and canyoning up in the mountains. The apartment was simple but perfectly did the job. Beautiful garden.

The main bed was fine but the other beds were a little uncomfortable. The Aircon was noisy in the small bedroom and we had to turn it off at night which practically meant no Aircon for the sofa bed.

November 2023

The owners of the villa got in touch a few days before our visit with the driving instructions. They were always in contact and responded to all my questions and needs. The villa is impressive in style, and very modern, too. The heating was excellent (we visited in November), the kitchen well equipped, with a dishwasher and all the necessary utensils. There is also a small play room for kids downstairs. The rooms are spacious, and we were very comfortable (3 adults, 2 children)

I liked everything, but it would be good to have more than one socket by the bed (to keep the lamp on and to charge the phone).

The room was spacious and it was amazing to be in such a historic Villa. Our host was excellent and helped us whenever we needed assistance. The facilities were excellent and we enjoyed the pool. When we arrived our host collected our cases and transported them to our room which was really appreciated

This is a historic Villa Its fantastic and has lent itself perfectly to providing spacious accommodation. Our apartment was at the top of the house and so there were a lot of stairs to get to it. There is no parking nearby however you are guided to a square by the church where you can park free of charge. Its about 300 meters away from the property although I wasnt worried about the car

This is one of the best place I visited so far. There are several reasons to it. 1. Firstly the Villa itself is historic and is maintained very well. Villa has got Zacuzzi and Swimming Pool. 2. Villa is very spacious and at very affordable price. 3. 10 Points to the Villa Host as she is very helpful, My Mother got sick and the host helped us all the way to take her to the Hospital and supported us with talking to Doctor and getting us directions to get medicines. It was really kind of her to be there with us during difficult times. 4. Lake Como and all the attractions are very closeby to the apartment.
