Do not think it’s appropriate to be housing refugees at the same time as paying guests.

I liked the old style class of the place, must have been pretty classy in its day, lots of polished wood everywhere. Drink and meal prices were reasonable. And breakfast was great value for 10eu.

Hate to bring it up but there was no toilet brush.

Stay at hotel was fantastic and bar manager couldn't do enough for outer large group

Young bar staff did not want to be there, when separated from their chatty group, they had an attitude when asked to serve... music finished way too early, like 11.30 in Saturday night

The staff were very friendly. The shower was hot with high pressure. The room was comfortable and clean, the bar stayed open late and the live music was good without being so loud that you can't make out what's being sung.

I heard from members of the family that got breakfast later (I was there as soon as the room opened) that the quality of the breakfast declined significantly. I thought it was excellent, worth the money. They said that later on, the quality was much lower, selection was not good, and staff were not working as expected. (For example, I had been told if I wanted toast, to ask a member of staff, and that was fine. The family were told the same, but were not able to get any staff to get toast. Seemed odd.

5 minutes' walk across the bridge from Waterford train station and located right next to the river, of which I had a wonderful view. Ten minutes' walk to town centre. The accommodation is above a lively bar with regular music which catered to a more mature crowd, and the audience was not rowdy. I was on first floor and had no disturbance from the bar below. Main selling feature of this venue is the use of the swimming pool & spa as part of room booking! It's a decent length pool (20m?) and use of sauna & steam room. Self-service breakfast available and a might fine breakfast it was too!

It was a very, very busy bar and took a while to get served after a long train journey. The pub over the road was quicker service, very nice too & incredibly friendly.

nice size bedroom window that opened a little could turn heat off lovely bathroom recently upgraded room well laid out and the location was great for visiting heart of city and christmas fair breakfast really nice and fresh fried eggs available being cooked as we wished

lots of stairs and corridors quite confusing taxi prices quoted were very high and when we researched wrong ment I had to take out car again instead of relaxing and using taxi to and fro from venue strange to have to order toast when everything else was so well laid out

The kids play area that was strangely located beside the men's toilets was absolutely disgusting stinking of urine etc and very unhygienic and sickening..

The reception staff were lovely .

The room was very hot they obviously have had complaints about this as there was plug in fan in the room eventhough there was an air-conditioning unit but it didn't work . Also the safe is on the floor and my husband had to get down to it as iv a lot of arthritis it doesn't make sense to have it there. And the view from the window was not good we had to look at a roof and a broken window and bottles and used vape holders on the roof . And the carpark is 3 streets up the hill it's the Aldi carpark but we did not know that till we had to pull in out side the hotel to run in and ask, so make sure you bring an umbrella as we got showered on walking back to the hotel . The room no. Is 244 so don't look forward to a good view .
