The outdoor patio area was so welcoming. Then walking inside the lobby was very roomy with plenty of space if you needed to mingle with your party in a public area. It lead to a bright hallway and the rooms had excellent natural light from the windows (and normal lights too). Small desk/table was so beneficial, thank you! And tea items with water and refills always available as well. Excellent wifi! I was concerned when I needed it for a work appointment over the computer. Typically need to connect to ethernet. But had no problems at all, on the day I used wifi. Most importantly: The restaurant bar food was fantastic and comforting after a long rainy day! Thank you for making me feel so at home! All the staff were so kind, friendly, and very helpful.

It would have been a great bonus if a more modern hair dryer could be available in the rooms. But I was grateful for what was there too!

We were 3 single women travelling together and the room was big enough for us. The breakfast was really lovely with plenty to choose from. We had evening meals there as well and all enjoyed our meals on both nights.

The toilet was a little loose so it made lots of noise when getting on and off. The hotel is on a busy road and we had a room at the front so we found the traffic noise quite loud throughout most of the night. The staff were very helpful and carried our bags to the room as we found stairs a little hard to negotiate with various physical problems. It was no trouble at all for staff to do this.

Well located for what we needed

Apart from breakfast which was good, hot, freshly cooked and served to our table, the kitchen was disappointing. There was little effort to dress the plates. The mushy peas appeared to be slapped all across the plate with a trowel and the chips were cheap frozen ones. In fairness the hake was good with a nice light batter. The “Bruschetta” was a half a bread roll with a good scattering of a fairly tasteless meat (chorizo?) and appeared to be microwaved because the bread was like rubber. No excuse for that. It’s a pity that this aspect let the otherwise friendly comfortable country style hotel down.

room was lovely but bed a bit too soft ,breakfast and dinner was excellant and staff were so friendly especially Marek (hope i got the name right )the barman who served us our drinks on friday and when we came in on saturday asked do you want the usual,I thought now there is an excellent barman

two little critisims and just because i don,t like food waste ,we both ordered brown toast for breakfast but the basket came out with brown soda bread and white toast included ,which was i assume wasted when it went back ;my other gripe is for the cleaner ,i take a lot of milk in tea and on sat morning i took some extra milk from her trolley ,she was not around to ask but when she went to tidy my room she took it back ?

Great hotel, spacious and clean rooms, very good breakfasts and choice of dinner/evening meals. Fab service all round. Super location for us as we were back and forth working at a few of the local ports. And easy access from Dublin and to other areas. And most of all the staff were so helpful, good crack, friendly and just amazing. A big thank you to you all for looking after us, during our stay. From all the BollardScan Team. That we had to come home 😂

Having stayed in many 2,3,4,5 and 5plus star hotels over the years, I can honestly say that the Rhu Glenn hotel far exceeds it's three star rating - who ever rates hotels in Ireland needs to revisit and up the rating - it deserves it. On to breakfast. None of your buffet styled tepid, overcooked/undercooked, rubbish from so called established hotels - here at the Rhu Glenn you get a proper freshly cooked choice of breakfasts - enough to set you up for the whole day. Wish we were able to stay longer - will sure to be back one day.

From the very front of the lobby doors it was already a welcoming site with flowers and sitting tables in the patio and garden area. The staff were lovely and respectful and friendly. The room was bright and clean and cozy and safe. The restaurant bar was delicious and cozy as well. A great place to hide away for the night. Whether storm or sunshine, it was a restful place to be. The view of the countryside in the background leading up to the hotel is gorgeous!

The Rhu Glenn is a lovely hotel, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly.

This hotel is a little off the beaten track. This is perfect if you want a quiet break away, but you'd definitely need a car to get to all the nearby attractions. The breakfast was ok, but we would have preferred a buffet where you can choose whatever foods you want. We had to ask staff to bring essentials to the table, such as butter, marmalade, orange juice.

Exceptionally welcomming- friendly and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there. Of all the staff- I must commend Niamh in the dining area. She is super efficient- so warm- so friendly and totally efficient and wonderful by the marvellous manner in which she. Interacts with customers. It was a privilege having her serve my breakfast in such an efficient- professional and friendly manner she I'd outstanding and a real asset to this. Great establishment

Loved everything about this jewel of a Hotel

Very nice establishment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, fresh and quiet. Restaurant served good food at reasonable prices. Easy to find and plenty of parking.

I knew this place was located outside Waterford and would be quiet. I didn't realize there were no services available within walking distance. It was not a big deal to me but might be to others.
