Location is beautiful. The grounds and walled garden are stunning . The reception area is impressive with beautiful decor. Grill room was busy at night. Attentive staff and good service. Pint of Guinness was 7 E. Glass of wine 10 E. Bed was large size and comfortable. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices. Staff were attentive. Bathroom is spacious with a large bath. Separate shower . Plenty of towels. Room was cold on arrival but temperature can be adjusted.

I was disappointed that there was no shampoo in the shower. I rang Reception and the phone was not working. My friends phone in another room was not working either. I found a Supervisor and requested shampoo and was told it was on a shelf in the shower. I checked and there was no shampoo. Again, I found the same Supervisor and told her that there definitely was No Shampoo. She said she would get some but laughed as I walked away. I got the shampoo within 10 mins. There were two Barry's tea bags and 4 health tea bags in room. . I requested ordinary tea bags and got some extra. . Small things but for the price I would expect a better service. The room was cold on arrival but I adjusted temperature.

It’s a fabulous hotel in a magnificent setting, beautiful gardens. The spa was lovely and dinner was also quite nice

We stayed in a room in the old building. On booking.com it was advertised as having a big bed which it definitely was not. That’s very disappointing since I upgraded to this room. Also it was very warm and there wasn’t air conditioning.

Beautiful surroundings,spacious room, comfortable beds.shower is amazing.efficient check in and check out.consiere staff were so helpful and friendly as we're room service staff.

Standard is not 5 star. Stayed at better 4 star hotels. Breakfast is buffet and was cold.. 5 star hotel should offer fresh cooked breakfast to order. .At 9pm asked room service for 4 sandwiches,3 were delivered half toasted (did not ask for toasted).we were told they had no tuna hence 3 sandwiches delivered instead of 4. No butter on bread and a handful of wilted salad leaves on the plate .To be fair we were not charged for this. Handed desert menus in the grill bar which were crumpled and sticky with food. Beautiful flower arrangements in the foyer but water needed to be changed as it was smelly. Yew restaurant was closed during our stay. Guests should be told of this at time of booking. Small complaints but if addressed would elevate to 5 star

The food in the Grill & Bar was excellent

For a five star hotel and the money you pay I don't think they should be charging guests €25 to use the spa area. Very disappointed with this.

This is our second time visiting Lyrath Estate! We love it so much, staff, food, Manor House rooms was where we stayed each time, Cannot fault it at all!! 🫶🏻

One thing I will say this time around we visited Tuppers bar just before we left the hotel, we received a dirty glass and when we asked to change it, the waiter brought back the same glass but with more ice in it. We then received a dirty (dried dirt/food) on our steak knife so we had to also get that changed.. but the food was amazing!

The whole place is just a great stay, from reception to Grill Bar to spa

The Yew Restaurant was very disappointing, service very very slow atmosphere dead, couldn't get certain items off the menu, waiting for drinks every time and this was just the staff forgetting about us because there was very few people in the restaurant, just seem very unorganised which isn't like this hotel, and bearing in mind it was very quite in the Yew Restaurant, It was so unorganised and slow we actually asked to be moved up to the grill which they said couldn't be done, and then the table of three girls next to us asked the same question after us and where moved, for such a great hotel unfortunately the Yew Restaurant at the moment is pulling the hotel down,

The nature trails were beautiful, especially the swans on the Lyrath Lake. I loved the atmosphere. The grounds were lovely. The dogs were sweet. Breakfast was delicious and pleasant. I found the views of the flowers, gardens, fountains and plants calming and relaxing. I enjoyed the pool. I made an instagram video of my stay, @GinasPlanit.I made some videos on my Educational YouTube Channel @GinasPlanit while at your scenic property. I loved that there was a wedding there the day I arrived, so many happy people.

I am sad that I didn’t get to enjoy more of the amenities.

The place it’s amazing. The view of the estate is breathtaking. The rooms are very good. Comfy bed, huge tv and big bathtub. The sleeping was perfect, we can’t hear a thing from outside or the other guests. The staff it’s so nice, the attention to detail it’s impeccable. Definitely worth it. The breakfast was really good, nothing to complain about, but a little too basic compared to the rest of the stay.

It’s not that I didn’t like, but as I mentioned, even tho it was perfect for me, the breakfast was a little too basic for the amount you’re paying. It would be nice to have more pastry options and more options from the kitchen.

While everything was very good and staff friendly & professional Great Grill restaurant it had its faults like some of staff lacked training also dropping little jars ketchup & mayo to the table without us requesting it ( a little annoying just don’t see the need ) This Hotel I think needs another option for Food Maybe a Fine dining restaurant ,it would definitely Create a 5 star experience.

The staff were unbelievable (except for the check-in). I've never seen a duty manager work so hard or be as attentive from a customer experience perspective. He was a little disappointed Ireland beat South Africa but didn't let it impact his mood. The breakfast was amazing, don't miss it. Bed comfy and room very clean. All in all, it was an enjoyable break in lovely surroundings.

4 p.m. check-ins are not good. The check-in experience was ridiculous. The room was ready, but the receptionist wasn't keen on letting us in. She also promised to call us but never did. It was not a pleasant experience. There were also no spa treatments available, and the small thermal suite was also booked out.
