Great views, great pool, lots of space in the apartment. Nice to have a separate bedroom for the kids plus 2 bathrooms. Was great for families and lots of small families were there at the same time as us.

Air con was approx €100 a week (up to max of €150). In August this was essential. There is a washing machine but they’re for communal use, not in the apartment. Downstairs is very dark as not many windows. There’s a huge sun room/ conservatory which is great but it’s split from the small shop only by a curtain so doesn’t feel very private. WiFi is available but very patchy so doesn’t work everywhere in the apartment.

The welcome from Filomena and Madelief was wonderful. There is a beautiful shared space where you can find herbs and spices, but also really good wine. If you have any questions during your stay, they are readily available and willing to help you. The house itself was nice and clean and had all the necessary amenities. The location is very convenient. You can take a train from Empoli to get to Firenze in under 30 minutes, and the surrounding area of Vinci is beautiful to drive through. All in all: would highly recommend staying here!

It took a little bit longer for the hot water to come in, but this improved during our stay. Therefore, it could have been due to the fact that the water had to be transported uphill.

One of our best accomodation so far via booking.com, Property itself and host and their support and kindness to help during the overall stay...We had amazing time at this property but while checking out we forgot something at property and host informed us promptly and pleasant gesture also informed me that they will post this to our home address as we could not return and pick. Also overall information and support from host was amazing and the host was available to asnswer any questions during our entire stay. The property is located in very nice quite area overlooking the city.. the swimming pool and other aminities are great... though the swimming pool was not open during december the view from entire property was amazing,....

Amazing location, very kind staff, relaxing

End of tourist season meant our apartment needed some love - clothes line broken, freezer broken, stairs needed tightening because they weren’t very secure.

- very detailed authentic place. everywhere You look everyrhing is made of authentic furniture, paintings, you feel really comfortable and in Da Vinci origins - quiet place with many places to taste local wines, olives, cheese. - parking on site, pool, fully equipped kitchen, small surprises to taste, small details like historic doors, saloons etc.

- cold rooms because of offseason - no wood for fireplace fire available

We stayed 10 days in the apartment Cosimo il Veccio in April. It is very spacious for two but also equipped for 3 (maybe 4). The apartments interior is of very high quality, tastefully arranged, everything was very clean and working (no dripping taps, etc.) The landlady took care of us, it is however advantageous if you have a few Italian words at hand. The view is just stunning and the pool area is very nicely put. There is no traffic noise. The apartment is not the warmest, it's not directly under the roof and the sun shines in only in the afternoon. Which is a bit disadvantageous early in the year but maybe just right in the summer heat. The main room of the apartment is heated by a floor heating system which worked well. The private outside area is just in front of the door. The apartment is ideally situated for hiking and visiting Florence, Pisa, Siena by train from Empoli.

The main house was originally not build to have 3 apartments, as a consequence one very clearly hears noise (steps, voices) from the other people staying in the upstairs and (to lesser extent) in the next door apartment. Probably the opposite is also true. The veranda is not entirely private, it is one large room separated from the area for Lorenzo il Magnifico by a folding screen. The outside area is not on the grass but only in front of the apartment. In all, these things let us reduce the comfort rating by one step, it is up to you to decide how important this is to you.

We were sent a message to say that check in starts at 4pm. On Booking.com it says check in is from 1400 which is when we would have liked to arrive. I should have questioned this beforehand but we delayed our arrival until after 3pm and we found that our room was actually ready for us.

We liked the location, it must be amazing in the summer, because now it was too cold to use the swimming pool. The house has a nice view and the apartment was very spacious and furnished with antique furniture.

It is just my opinion, but it was too cold for my taste. If there wasn’t an extra blanket in the dresser, I wouldn’t be able to sleep.

Location was perfect. Up on a hill overlooking the beautiful Tuscany landscape. The owner was very friendly and easygoing. Very authentic building.

It was way too cold in the building and the bed did not have a proper blanket.

Exceptional experience. You can feel the hospitality of Tuscany! We were treated as guests, not just as customers. The view from the swimming pool is breathtaking. P.S. best sleep I've had in a long time.
