Very nice breakfast, the room was adequate for 2 adults with 4 suitcases. The beach was very nice, walking distance from the hotel. The 2 beach chairs and umbrellas were way overpriced (42 Euros & 48 on the weekend) if you have your own chairs and umbrella you have more then enough room to streatch out.

The only things that i did not like was the hight of the bathtub. For older people it was a little of a challenge to get in and out of the tub but we managed. The pool had no hand rail to get in and out the shallow side which makes it difficult to get in and out (for older people)

The Amarilia hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood just 100 meters ftom the beach. Close to the shopping centre are Glyfada. And with a 20 minute taxi ride to the centre of Athens you can get there fast when needed. Also conveniently located to Athens International Airport. The staff were exceptional! The front desk were very helpfull providing for each and every need we had. With a big genuine smile I might add. We enjouyed our stay immensely and although rated at 4stars I have stayed at many 5star hotels that did a lot worse. If you are looking for a hotel out of the hustle and bustle of Athens centre (and blistering heat) this is definitely the place to be!

The location was fantastic as it was close to the beach, as well as the hop on, hop off bus. The first pick-up was at 10.12am, and if you went to the middle of Athens the last bus left at 5.35pm. There were also several restaurants on the beach front where you could have a fantastic meal whilst watching the most beautiful sunset. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The triple room was very small, and the bathroom was tiny. There was no shower, just a handheld shower head over the bath. Also, our sea view was only visible by looking left from the deck. The online photos of our room were misleading. The breakfast was average. There weren't any shops in the area other than a small kiosk, so we had to taxi to go shopping. Prices to get from Athens to the hotel varied from €25 to €40 depending on the driver.

We absolutely loved the view from the our balcony. it overlooked the sea and the hill, giving you a sense of being at the center of a big stage. Cleaning was done everyday, the beds were comfortable and there were gel & shampoo in the bathroom. The lifeguard at the pool was helpful in assiting with getting a blister plaster replacement. The area is close to the beach and a park with multiple restaurant options. It really feels like a resort.

We would appreciate a larger room, it was a bit compact for 3 people. Also there were only 2 sockets so we had to create a schedule for charging our phones.

Firstly the staff are amazing. Welcoming and helping with all our asks. Lovely and clean, very modern and comfortable feel. Pool area was nice, and food served to the pool was good value. Bar area good. Rooms were well equipped and were made up everyday with fresh towels.

Plug sockets in the room were hit and miss. Need replacing. Twin / double rooms were in the small side. The pool area got slippy. We saw three people slip over hard. This needs to be sorted. Could have been a bad injury. Not hotels fault, beaches are ok. Not great, but walkable. Sea was lovely.

This is a criticism of Booking.com more so than the hotel: the rate that we were given when we booked online was in Canadian dollars. It seemed like a good price. However, as soon as I clicked to book, the same price became Euros. That was a lot more than we budgeted. The hotel couldn’t help us with the discrepancy. And the booking was non refundable. it all seems a bit underhanded. I will try to avoid using Booking.com in the future if we are not reimbursed the difference.

Very close to beach and restaurants - location easy and off the main street. The kids food by the pool was perfect. Good value hotel and great location. There was 2 sides of balconies so you could sit outside and be out of the sun.

The rooms were a little noisey from upstairs and while people in the hallways walking to rooms in evenings. They didn't have any carparking off street.

Breakfast buffet with eggs, ham/bacon, variety of baked breads, honeycomb sheet, cereals, fruit, cheese, juice, coffee, etc. The hotel continues to feel new, clean and well maintained. Every staff person encountered was exceptionally friendly, kind, polite and helpful. The kindness of the staff was immediately noticeable through their caring for the precious 11 year old resident dog “Pepito”. The balcony with side view of the sea was exactly as described and pleasantly nice enough to sit outside.

As an unusual cold front dominated the weather during the days we were there, a heated pool would have been nice. The beach portion with umbrellas and loungers for rent at OVER US$50 is a man made sanded area that blends into the natural gray/brown beach silt with fresh and dry seaweed. (Not the clean yellow white sand experienced in Hawaii, Cancun or the Caribbean).
