The hotel is very well located, close to the center - actually a 10-minute walk. Although the furniture is quite old, it can be seen that efforts are made to maintain it - it is in good order. The hotel is quite clean, spacious room, bathroom with everything you need, coffee machine, very good internet... Breakfast - decent: if you only like cereal, fruit, a little cheese, a boiled egg, coffee and juice from the dispenser in the morning - you are in the right place. For a person from Europe, the fact that everything, but absolutely everything, is packed in plastic (including the boiled egg is in a plastic bag, in the fridge) can be an inconvenience and a bit disturbing... I felt like I was in a hospital or like during covid... everyone takes their products wrapped in plastic, opens them and throws the plastic in a bin... it's like eating from the supermarket shelf... but if you're used to it (and Americans probably are) everything is ok
The location of the hotel is very good. It's just that in the evening, if you go out in the area, you will come face-to-face with many homeless people... I mean, many... you will have to get used to the smell of filth and urine and be prepared to face them, including you can find some syringes on the floor... I was in Seattle 22 years ago and I was left with a great impression. I returned with my wife... disappointing how it could be taken over by the homeless... the city is still beautiful, charming, in some places extraordinary - but the atmosphere is spoiled in many places by the mess left behind and - I don't know Why. - tolerated by the authorities... pity... I don't think I will come back...

The Best Western Pioneer Square Downtown hotel is one in that class of 'classic' hotel - not necessarily grand, but historic and with a great atmosphere that evokes a sense of Times Past. Sepia-toned photos on the walls add to the general ambience, and the rooms' fittings and furnishings are in keeping with the historic vibe. It really fits into Pioneer Square as an icon of the overall zeitgeist of the area. Meanwhile, the rooms themselves have all the modern features that you'd expect and which work well, including, it must be said, excellent wi-fi which never has any sense of slowdown. My bed was very comfortable and in a departure from many hotels in the modern world, not over-blanketed, in other words you can select what level of warmth you want or need, it isn't all or nothing. Location could absolutely not be better, just off 1st Ave on Yesler, close to everything (including, conveniently, the Pioneer Square Link light rail station), and for me especially, coffee (several excellent coffee shops including Elm in instant walking range). Staff are very efficient and friendly, they made life easy for me. Really I couldn't imagine a better stay overall.
Virtually nothing - very little to criticise in what is a great value hotel in an ideal situation.

Breakfast was very good if a bit too packaged. The attendants were very friendly and accommodating. I liked the old hotel building and the refurbishment that has been done.
Due to an error committed at the check in we were booked only for one night when it should have been four nights. This resulted in our arrival, late at night after our first day’s stay being locked out and the room not being cleaned. Complaints to night staff were dismissed without a single explanation or emphatic attitude.

Friendly staff ,very helpful Assisted us with the help we needed. Greeted us upon arrival with a smile. An older building built in 1914 . Everything was very clean, halls ,and lobby . Our room was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. I definitely recommend staying here . We did have to pay extra for parking which was not stated when I booked our stay. Though we did park in a secure parking garage, much safer than parking on the street. So expect to pay 30.00 extra. Wide variety to choose from for breakfast.

This hotel was in a wonderful location to tour Seattle. It is close to Pikes Market and the docks. We were able to walk to everything that we wanted to see including the aquarium and the Great Wheel. The breakfast was delicious and there was lots of variety.
It is difficult to have food delivered to our room. There aren't many options and it is pricey. The hotel was expensive, because of the location and the fact that we needed to be close to port for our cruise. There wasn't any choice because it was the same as any of the other hotels in the area.

very good breakfast with a fresh waffle and good, strong coffee, yoghurt, juice and an egg ssnack. It was more a brunch and kept me satisfied for many hours. The distance to the Benaroya Hall is walkable in 15 minutes. I told the management I was pleasantly surprised and intend to come back whe I attend another late night concert.
Pioneer Square is a bad area in Seattle (drug addicts) but there were few people outside and I made the 7 block walk without issues. The hotel looks unattractive from the outside but I found it welcoming and cosy inside and very safe.

Convenient location close to waterfront and short walk from Pioneer Square light rail station. Great breakfast with plenty of choices from waffles and toast to sausage and egg buns, cereal, fruit, yoghurts etc. Not a huge room but we were upgraded to a king room and it was very comfortable. Soft drinks and snacks machine at the end of our floor with cheap prices.
Would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room although we did have an ice bucket and ice was readily available. Pioneer Square is a characterful area but not so great at night as some restaurants seem to have closed down since covid and sadly there were homeless people in evidence in some local streets.

The breakfast was lovely…simple and complete for my world. Thank you. The staff managing the breakfast area were very kind and professional! They deserve acknowledgment for sure! I appreciated the block of time allotted to eat and enjoy the space!
It could not be helped, I think as a single lady some of the surrounding area for walking was a bit sketchy. It’s okay though…no fault of hotel by any means. Just that I noticed a lot of homelessness and it’s the same all over. It’s very sad!

Clean, staff was overly kind and friendly. We were able to get in right off the cruise ship in the morning and everything was very comfortable. Breakfast choices were fabulous. Very updated in a beautiful old historic building. Best of both worlds! We were able to walk everywhere.
We had no complaints! Not a lot of great choices for restaurants other than the market on 1st Avenue. Went there twice for lobster roll.

Location, location, location! And comfy bed, atmosphere of a historic building and district, good breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful. Short walk to the ferries, Pike Place Market, a bit longer (still walking distance) to Space Needle. Plus: the legendary Central Tavern/Saloon (where rock legends played at the very beginnings of their careers) is like 3 minutes walk away.
