Templemore Arms Hotel is in the center of the small agricultural town of Templemore. The hotel could be used in an Irish Hallmark movie. It is quaint and welcoming. From the moment we arrived until departure we were welcomed as family and honored guests. Make sure and say hi to Bitsy in the bar/restaurant and Oinya at the reception desk. At departure we asked for a taxi for the 1 mile walk to the train and instead, Catherine Mary, a 25 yr member of the hotel staff gave us a ride in her private vehicle. Bitsy, a 42+ yr hotel employee gave us several ideas for seeing Templemore and we thoroughly enjoyed the Templemore Park and a visit to the Temple Pub where we met Collum and Mark, to proper Irish Lads. Later in the evening we returned to the hotel for dinner and had one of the most delicious and filling meals of our entire two-week tour of Ireland. Their steaks are great and please try the Irish beef stew - YUM !! Every travel service should put Templemore and the Templemore Arms Hotel on their "two thumbs up" list . It is a wonderful and welcoming hotel and town !!
Sadly, we were only in Templemore and at the Templemore Arms Hotel for one nite, on our way back to Dublin. Another day would have been great.

The location is central - right in the main square of Templemore; The room was spacious and comfortable; Breakfast in the adjoining pub was hearty; check out is 12; There were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe; There was ample coffee and tea...
The shower was a bit tight; It is my own fault, I should have requested a room on a higher floor with an open/external view (as I usually do) while booking, but I ended up with a room at the back with only walls and concrete visible thru the window - although the staff member did look, I would have had to pay double (although my room was actually a double room) for that change...

It's a family run hotel. Very friendly. The staff were so lovely and the food was excellent. We had dinner, breakfast and lunch at the hotel. The atmosphere is really lovely, very relaxed. Also, re the breakfast. It was so refreshing to be able to get a table sit down and be waited upon. So many modern hotels now have you queueing up for the tea/coffee machines and for toast, and it just takes away from the whole experience of relaxing and interacting with the staff and enjoying the moment. We would go back again and would highly recommend the Templemore Arms Hotel.
A minor thing. It's not a complaint as such. But be aware that there is paid parking in place. Although not expensive if you opt for the full day at €3. We made the mistake of topping up iniitally. No big deal once you are aware of the situation.

Always friendly and a good location
You have to pay to park during the day, and you have to remember to pay for the next day if you plan to have a lay in but you have to wait until after 6pm for the meter to reset! Also one of the staff referring to my group as “Lads” I was with my parents who are both nearly 80 so definitely not lads! The town itself has gone down hill a bit but the hotel is still 1st class

Visiting this hotel annually the very high standards in place never seem to vary as on each visit as expected new faces will appear but continue to deliver outstanding friendly willing great service be it reception dining room bar or housekeeping.
Would prefer a front bedroom as the back rooms which seem to be the new norm for me when I visit 2023 No 1 2022 No 2 provide no view whatsoever, unless you enjoy looking at a very large flat roof. Also the noise from the fans can be annoying.

The hotel is a beautiful building, very homey and what you'd imagine for a home-style Irish rural property. Rooms very extremely warm despite the cold weather, I even had to turn off the radiators. Shower in my room was extremely power and relaxing. The staff were chatty and helpful and great hosts. Kettle station was packed to the brim with teabags and coffee. Restaurant and bar staff were very attentive and friendly.
The beds were quite small for two people, but very soft and comfortable despite the size. The windows didn't keep out much noise, and you could hear traffic outside as well as loud people as they passed. Rooms did not have air conditioning so while heating the room was easy, cooling it down was slow as you had to open the windows to cool down. I wasnt really a fan of the restaurant, the dinner was quite average, I had the bacon and Cabbage, and the sticky toffee pudding which was excellent, however the breakfast was extremely greasy, though a good size.

The staff were absolutely fantastic, helpful and kind, especially a lady in reception called Catherine, she went above and beyond to facilitate myself and my son by giving us a lift to and from my nephews graduation ceremony as there were no taxis available.

Very central location, Huge car park right in front of hotel. Don't know how it operates, but rates if I'm not wrong €3 for overnight. Room for single person very spacious, All facilities what anyone would be looking for. Breakfast selection carvery style so everyone will find they're choice.
Window insulation seems to weak on the frontage of hotel. Anyone who is light sleeper will definitely hear bypassing traffic..

As a by now fairly regular visitor to the Templemore Arms Hotel thankfully nothing has changed. The high standard of cleanliness in all area's of the building the very efficient and willing to assist obliging staff make a stay in this hotel an absolute pleasure and a burning desire to return. The separate menu's for all meals breakfast lunch and dinner have a huge selection of choice's to suit all tastes, even the most discerning diner's. The en-suite rooms are very spacious spotlessly clean and the beds are so very very comfortable.

Stayed here twice..The staff were lovely on every encounter. The food...breakfast and dinner were both very good.. The dinner portions were generous and the quality of the food was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and clean.
Rooms to the front weren't my favourite due to property location but the comfort inside the rooms was a high standard and nicely decorated.
