Wonderful, welcoming hotel in a stunning location. Although there are many rooms everything felt very personal and our hosts always had time for us, always had a smile and were extremely helpful. The hotel is right in the centre so all the sites are just a few minutes walk away. The roof top garden and cafe were a welcome bonus. There was a great choice of good quality food for breakfast. I loved and used the gift of a travel diary with information about Volterra, and would recommend getting the Volterra card as the museums were excellent. We would highly recommend this lovely place and hope to return.

Albergo Etruria was the perfect stay for our trip. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived and we felt immediately welcome. Everyone is friendly and kind. The rooms were themed and we stayed in the rose room. Our favorite thing was the window onto the road where we could people watch all the activities happening at the cafe and shops. We loved the peaceful and relaxing rooftop too! There is air conditioning and a working shower with fantastic water pressure. We also enjoyed the breakfast!

The owner / manager was extremely helpful and pleasant. He was very busy too, but juggled things well. The town is a jewel and we had a great time there at an uncrowded time of year. The location could not be better. The rooms are relatively simple and modest, but clean and well lit. We would stay there again. The town is an absolute jewel and it was super to be there in March when there were very few other tourists besides ourselves. Weather was brisk so take sweaters and a jacket, plus umbrella!

Right in the middle of Volterra this charming hotel was booked for a 2 night stay to attend a wedding in Tuscany. It is a family run property and they are lovely people. They helped us with bags up to our rooms. The breakfast was generous and they served hot delicious cappuccinos! The paid car park is a short 2 min walk. We received detailed instructions and the hotel manager was very responsive on WhatsApp guiding us to park and walk to hotel. He even helped take our bags back to car park on check out. The rooms were charming and clean.

This place is another proof that you basically can't go wrong in Tuscany. Location is just amazing, in the dead center of Volterra, just a short walk anywhere in town. The room was large and comfy, and breakfast is just delicious. Staff is always smiling and ready to help. I particularly like that they have a room that you can safely leave your stuff if you check out early, and pick up when you leave town. Oh, and they also can point out where you can park for free parking overnight.

Hard to reach by car (but Volterra is complicated anyways, thus it's not surprising)

The location is amazing, you step out of the hotel and you find yourself in the middle of Volterra with all it's shops and restaurants. The service is excellent and the staff speaks English very well. They are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are clean and have a cute interior. Beds are comfortable as well. The breakfast was good and there were quite some options. The Hotel has a cute outside Café which you can enter from another street further up.

Staff great, very helpful. A sneaky little fabulous thing is that from the rooftop cafe there is an almost secret path to the Etruscian acropolis.

decor was dated, although in perfect condition. Too cutesy with little hearts etc. The painting was a bit creepy - a romanticized victorian print of two young children kissing. Breakfast dark with no windows, but nice clean and good selection Lots of stairs, no lift. There is a nice rooftop cafe but often they had music and it was too loud.

The owners and staff are very friendly. The hotel is located in the center of Volterra, so it is not accessible by car. Parking garage (P1) is very close, and access to the hotel is not difficult. The hotel is arranged in a medieval building, and there are many stairs leading to the upper floors. There is a terrace above the hotel where guests can peacefully enjoy coffee and the view of Volterra's rooftops. The owner is delighted to offer advice about where to purchase excellent local wine at reasonable prices.

Perhaps it would be worth enriching the breakfast offerings a bit.

The hotel is very nice in the core of the city center. The stuff was very helpful, they gave us all information we needed in advance (about parking, ZTL, self check-in). We were coming late in the evening so we needed to self check-in, they gave us precise instructions and everything went smooth. The room was nice and cozy (and very quiet also), we had really good night sleep there and felt refreshed in the morning. The breakfast was also very good, with plenty of fresh food choices.

The location is literally in the midst of everything. You can open up your windows and look down onto the cobbled streets and see all the cafes and shops bustling with tourists and locals. It was surprisingly quiet at night. The staff was friendly and very helpful with suggestions on things to do.The buffet breakfast is served in a quaint area and had a nice selection of items.

The parking is located down a hill which requires a walk up/down a steep staircase. You are allowed to briefly drive into the city walls to drop off luggage, which is a bit scary, as the cobbled stone lanes are narrow, difficult to navigate when full of pedestrians and not clearly marked. I wouldn't advise doing.
