Pricey for what you get but does set a high standard for this reason. Food was also pricey once auto gratuity & tax added, with an amenity fee as well. This should be an upfront cost on the nightly rate.

Great room with nice view. Centrally located to many restaurants. Booked on a night where there was a free VIP event at the hotel. We didn't end up going but it was nice to know it was an option.

I was charged $40 more dollars by the hotel than the quote on Booking.com's website. The entrance is very hard to find and easy to miss. Was required to valet for $40 due to downtown events when it should be reserved for hotel guests. Drove by the entrance that weasn't well marked and due to extreme traffic and road work it took 50 mins to circle back around.

Modern attractive hotel in a great location with a superb restaurant -- much better than expected for a hotel.

The lighting in the room we were in was not very good. The bed side of the room was quite dark after sundown with no lighting except for a weak lamp on the desk and a very dim and useless fixture on one side of the bed. It is the only modern hotel I've stayed in that did not have bedside reading lamps. I asked if one could be brought in but the answer was no. I sensed the staff has had other complaints about this.

The perfect location! The room was gorgeous. The room was super clean. Our view was spectacular. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a great size. The room was huge. Weve stayed here before and loved it but this room we were giving was amazing!!! Felt like we were in a penthouse.

HATED the fact that housekeeping was knocking on our door at 7:30 am to clean the room when check out is 11am. This happened at 7:30 waking us up, after telling them were sleeping they knocked again and tried to get in the room literally opening the door at 9:00 am. After a long night seeing a show at Golden 1 we were exhausted and beyond frustrated with housekeeping. Ruined our experience! I informed the front desk and they said sorry and nothing else.

the staff was very eager to please, valet staff was excellent, the room was clean, comfy and best location to Golden 1 center, with a parking garage with 8'3 height, ( fit my Fordf350 truck). Great breakfast but it does cost about $60 for two to eat.

would be great to have a fridge and microwave in the room with the high cost of this hotel. our room was not ready at the check in time of 4 pm.

Social hour with cocktails and small bites. Sparkling wine at checking for New Years. Great location. All year around heated pool. Hotel staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay great like for example Micah and his manager!

I had parking included in my reservation, but the front desk still tried to charge my credit card for valet parking after I checked out.

The highlight of the hotel for me was the gym and the pool. The gym has everything you need and more for a great workout. The pool was heated and the services on the pool level were great! Had great interactions with the staff who were all helpful. Complimentary coffee & tea in the morning was a plus. Valet team members were kind and helpful.

Front desk did not properly inform us when checking in that self parking ($28) does not include in-out privileges. So if you plan on leaving at all go with valet because its $40 and you can go in&out. We ended up spending $50+ on self-parking. Also, for those who like firmer beds and pillow - you won't find that here unfortunately. The bed/pillow were way too soft for me liking.

the public indoor spaces were not extensive and only OK for this price range don't really have a hotel restuarant? Not in the traditional sense. "Can I get breakfast" well there's a starbucks 5 minutes away... Price is a lot for what you get and sacramento -- it's the nicest hotel downtown sac, much nicer than hyatt but also very full price for downtown sac. It feels like it is priced up for the fact there aren't other top hotels in Sac.

The Kimpton Sawyer was fantastic. Rooms are clean and large. Staff was absolutely outstanding. We were there for UC Davis Commencement. The hotel was full but it never felt like anyone was rushing you. Pool was amazing as were the staff out there taking drink orders. We had a great time.

Nothing. I can't wait to stay there again.
