WOW! Where do I begin!? I don’t usually leave reviews but this is beyond well deserved! I’m not sure why this isn’t listed as a 5 star as my experience here has far exceeded plenty of my stays at other 5 star accommodations. I was greeted by one of the owners, Stamatis, who couldn’t have been more welcoming and wonderful! The property is STUNNING! It has the best views outside Fira and Oia and is the best place on the island to watch the sunrise (you won’t regret waking up for it!) The owners have such great taste and everything is designed to perfection and immaculately cleaned. The shower was so wonderful I honestly had a difficult time getting out of it on some days. I work remotely and was working the whole time I was there and the internet worked perfectly! It’s also very easy and quick to get to Fira and Oia by bus (right by the property) or taxi as well as everywhere else on the island from here. I enjoyed my stay so much I decided to extend my stay only to find out when I returned at 3pm on the day of my original checkout that I had accidentally extended dates a month later! I was almost in tears but Stamatis jumped into action, found me a nearby hotel as a solution, called them and had them give me a deal and upgrade me free to a suite! He also completely refunded my non refundable accidental booking, which he had no obligation to do as it was all completely my mistake. He then not only drove me to the new property, carried all my luggage, checked me in there, messaged later to make sure I was okay and then returned the next morning to bring me back to his property where he had a made a room that was not supposed to be available, available for me! In all my years travelling around the world all year long working remotely, I have never stayed with such wonderful people at such a beautiful place! Don’t think twice about staying here! I will certainly be back every chance I get! Thank you again Stamatis for everything!

Nothing! It is PERFECT!

We recently stayed at this hotel and were absolutely thrilled with our experience. Perched on a hill, the hotel offers stunning panoramic views, especially at sunrise, which is simply magical. The location is wonderfully secluded, providing peace and tranquility without any noise from the bustling areas below and 15 minutes walk from Kamari beach. The rooms were impeccably clean and incredibly comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. Petros and Stamatis were exceptional hosts, treating us like family from the moment we arrived. Their warm hospitality truly made us feel at home. Ekaterina, the talented cook, prepared delightful breakfast specialties each morning that were both delicious and creative. The atmosphere here is incredibly welcoming and homely, making it hard to leave. Without a doubt, this is the best place to stay in Santorini.We can't wait to return

Our hosts, Petros and Stamatis, made us feel very comfortable from the very first moment. Extremely helpful, ready to guide us through the beautiful secrets of the island. Our room was amazing, spotlessly clean - with daily cleaning service, comfortable bed and very quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the island. We would definitely highly recommend it and would be happy to visit again at another time.

The accommodation is located high up in Kamari and you will need transport for your travel to and from the hotel. Luckily we had rented a car, so for us it was not a problem. In any case, our hosts will direct you to find the best possible solution.

All the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, we visited great places less known by the tourists based on tips we got, I encourage you to take a moment and request the tips from staff. The location was amazing, the view, closer to the sea than it seems and the beach there is one of the most accesible, easy to enjoy. Rooms were very clean and quiet, with good blinders on the windows. Fresh design tipical to Santorini. Breakfast was great, we enjoy it every morning and staff was friendly everytime, genuinely friendly. And about the hill, not too steep or hard for us but I totally recomend for you to rent a car, otherwise you might miss a lot of what this island has to offer. Avoid Quad or scooters if you have little or no experience with them, the villas are located on this hill that might be unconfortable to climb it with these vehicles(atv/scooter). All the other cities of the island are easily accessible by roads of the island in short time. For us it was the best location, better than Oia, Fira or Akrotiri, this is a gem! You can visit all the others in short time from here.

This is a little gem! An oasis on Santorini! First of all, it's located in Kamari, away from the massive crowds of Fira and Oia, and close to a beautiful beach with access to great restaurants! Furthermore, it's perched on a little hill, which gives you both more peace and quiet, as well as spectacular sunrises! (Note that this comes at the cost of a slightly steep hill walk at the end of the day, but no worse than you get when visiting Fira and Oia!) Finally, the two hosts are what really set this place apart! They are the essence of hospitality! They care for you as if you were family! I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Family run hotel with a lovely welcome & accommodating hosts. They did everything we asked for & more. Very understanding absolutely loved the decor and views were exceptional. Very clean & amazing owners would stay there again & recommend this hotel. It deserves a 10 points with comfort… excellent service & beautiful place..

There are no negatives…

We like everything. Stamatis and Petros are great hosts who see to it that the needs of their guests are provided. They arranged for our taxi pick-up from the airport when we arrived early in the morning as well as our departure to the port. They have a parking space for rented cars and the hotel is located on a hill which is a bit steep. The view from the room overlooks the Kamari area. The room is cleaned every day also. The breakfast is superb. I hope to go back again someday.

There was nothing wrong with the hotel. We were just unfortunate that during our stay the weather was not that good, as we were not able to enjoy the outdoor lounge of the hotel.

Petros and Stamatis welcomed my husband and I very warmly when we arrived! They kindly sat with us and asked about our plans, happy to give us all the info we needed about best locations, times and buses to do everything that we planned. They sustained this care and attention throughout our whole stay at Acropole Sunrise and this just made us feel at home there! We had read reviews about the breakfast being great but it really was so good that it still exceeded our expectations - real Greek food choices, great coffee, fruits, pastries, cakes and a beautiful view. Speaking of views, we had the most stunning view of the sunrises over the ocean and islands every morning - most people think of Oia for the sunset but these sunrises were equally as beautiful or even greater since it was quiet. The room was always clean, as well as fresh clean towels everyday. The cleaning and cooking staff are incredible and very friendly! The hotel happens to be a short (5-10 mins) walk to some good restaurants, as well as being just a 15 mins walk from Kamari beach with many restaurants (we personally recommend Zorbas) to choose from. Overall, we had a memorable time and can't recommend this hotel enough!

As a solo female traveller, I loved that the hotel felt like home and therefore, a safe place. Petros and Stamatis are lovely hosts and they make sure to go all the way in making each and everyone of the guests feel welcomed and comfortable. They are both like rays of sunshine that light up the place with their incredible warmth and kindness. When I arrived at the hotel late night, they received me with a nice refreshment and gave me lots of information about the island which I really appreciated. They also provided their personal phone number in case something came up and for example, when I needed a last minute shuttle, they arranged it for me in no time at a reasonable price and thus, made my trip an amazing, truly enjoyable experience. Furthermore, I might add that breakfast the morning next of arrival was on the house which came as a nice surprise as it was a super thoughtful detail and it was very good, lots of variety and all fresh. Regarding the accommodation itself, my room had a wonderful view to the ocean and it had the perfect spot to watch the sunrise without even having to get out of bed!! It had everything I needed and the decoration itself, was simple but still beautiful. I really liked the location, is uphill but still manages to be very close to the central bus station, beach, restaurants, supermarket and all within a short walking distance. I most definitely enjoyed my stay and undoubtedly recommend this hotel to everyone who is thinking about visiting Santorini and all it’s wonders.

So, I booked a lot of day- tours and even though pick up and drop off was included, not one of them agreed to pick me or drop me at my hotel’s door due to the location which at times became a bit exhausting and a lonely walk back. Nevertheless, I considered it as a great exercise!

Just Excellent! Wonderful, cozy hotel with stunning sea views of Kamari. Clean (spotless!), comfortable, spacious, modern, great location. The hosts Stamatis and Petros and the full staff were attentive, nice, welcoming  and happy to give us valuable advise to ensure that our holiday experience would be the best. We discovered  not only the touristic places but also the hidden gems as locals. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and  crispy clean  as well as towels. The location was perfect. Just 15 minutes walk from the center of Kamari,. It allowed us to have privacy and to relax when we wanted. In summary one of the best hosts we ever met. Felt comfortable like at home.
