Big room with a separate bedroom and 2 ensuite bathrooms for traveling group of 4-5 people. They were generous with the drinking water (self service from the refrigerator) near the rooms. The bar is just downstairs and they serve pretty good beer. The place is conveniently located within walking distance of the CBD area and many restaurants and shops.
No elevator. You'll need to drag your heavy luggage up the stairs. Also didn't like that they charged the deposit to your credit card (instead of putting the amount on-hold) and return the amount when you check out, both in AUD. So you bear the loss of any differences in the exchange rate if your credit card is from another country.

Nightcap at the Belgian Beer Cafe definitely met my expectations for a unique lodging in Center City Perth. It IS located over a popular pub in an old building; but the accommodations are clean and modern. And we slept good with no noise issues (weekday night). A server from the Cafe saw us wandering with our suitcases in the rain and immediately came to help us, getting the "manager" who checked us in with lots of personal attention. We took advantage of the free drinks and discount on pub dinner and were very happy with the environment, food and drink! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The coupons toward breakfast in a neighboring cafe (also a great eating place) covered what we ordered for breakfast. The Nightcap... is walking distance from the Perth train station; but we didn't end up using that mode of transportation. But I would suggest Nightcap as good downtown/train close lodging if you can use the train to visit Perth. Taxis are expensive. Note that Nightcap doesn't have an elevator and you will have to take suitcases up stairs!
That we missed our first night at the Nightcap due to a cancelled flight! We so wanted to spend more time in Perth!!

Terrific location right in the heart of downtown - exceptionally clean and someone even came in and made our bed each day which is unusual nowadays - complimentary drink at the pub - complimentary cold water bottles - lovely large shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided - comfy bed with crisp linens.
No hair dryer in the room and a note in the bathroom said to request one at reception. No reception area which we could see / the pub perhaps?? We sent an email re the foregoing and did not receive a reply. Unsure why they don’t just put a hairdryer in each room.

Great location. We could walk to the bus and train station and Elizabeth Quay. Close to cafes, restaurants, fast food, convenience stores. They provided free water and a free drink per occupant which is a nice gesture and makes you feel welcome. The staff in the bar below are also very friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage as we had a late flight. Don't pack to heavily as you need to carry your luggage up 2 flights but the stairway is wide enough to do this. There is a humming through the evening due to the music downstairs but it did not bother us as we had the TV on and it does not go on till very late. My kids slept comfortably.
We already knew about the staircase and the noise from the bar and so we were not too bothered about it. The location and comfort makes up for it.

Location was superb, right in the thick of things with easy access to shopping and F&B, and staff were very friendly. Room and bathroom clean and cheery. The cafe downstairs is a nice place for hearty pub grub and refreshing drinks. We were given very clear directions and updates prior to checking in so that helped alot with navigating there. Overall, a great stay and would recommend.
Just observations and things to note... not a problem nor a reason to not return. It was noisy on Friday night and there seemed to be some kind of scuffle on the street level then but I think that's to be expected with the location. Police arrived very quickly so that was a relief! There are no lifts, only stairs, so do keep that in mind if travelling with lots of heavy luggage. For those driving, there is no free parking nor drop off point directly in front of the accoms. Nearest parking would be in the nearby payable public parking buildings.

Very friendly staff. Centrally located. We got the suite with separate bedrooms for the family members. Really appreciated that we could keep our luggage in the hotel when we had a 4 day trip to Exmouth.
We included Breakfast for which you receive a voucher for AUD15 for a nearby restaurant. We recommend not to include this. One of our travelers did not eat breakfast but the restaurant was not clear if we could use the unused voucher as payment for the travelers who did come for the breakfast. This made us feel awkward with some staff accepting and some not, like we were haggling for a few dollars.

Second stay here and it’s been great both times. Great room pricing for location and the quality of the food / drinks at the pub downstairs makes it all worthwhile. The bed is amazing and comfy (8/10 reason why we returned). Seamless check in process, easy and no fuss. Do only be mindful there’s stairs with no lifts for large heavy luggages. Will always return.
Not much - understanding the building doesn’t have a lift for heavier luggages but it’s not the end of the world. Other thing is the rug at the door entry got caught a few times (when outside entering in) and it makes it very difficult to open the door to get in. And the “laundry” trolley that’s placed by the stairs - understanding there’s not much room but when you enter the hotel, that’s the view of a giant trolley that you see which I think takes away the “wow” factor of entering such an build historic building.

Bed comfortable we had no issues with noise from the bar. Property very easy to deal with quick to respond with queries during the booking process.. Our plane was delayed and arrived at 11pm on Wed night, excellent location and able to get quick meal at a nearby takaway. Overall great value centrally located for the 2 of us.
Room was nicley cleaned and prepared but they forgot to leave us towels and it was too late to get anyone. So we called the after hours call centre number in the morning as we wanted to be showered and ready to leave at 8am. Waited 20minutes no joy then rang the pub below. lucky the manager was in early on this day and he brought some up immediately thankyou. This would be the only thing you could improve on is having someone available to resolve any problems quickly.

Good place to stay for a few nights. Easy access to the city with great food below. The aircon was a blessing with such a hot perth summer and the beds were comfortable.
The bathroom is a little dirty in some parts and the paint on the tap has worn away. I also didnt realise everything in perth closes at 10pm and also got told that we had 30 minutes left for final drinks but got kicked out at 9:30 so it was a bit disappointing as a traveler. You can get room service but it doesnt come after 10pm (in our case, 9:30pm) so i wish that were clearer too. Also the bins were placed in front of the main entrance door after hours which was oodd and blocked an exit. Not sure if it was the establishment or someone on the street but definitely should be careful in future

Third time staying here and it never disappoints. The room is modern, super clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay - the free drink down at the bar is great! Prime location, right in the heart of the CBD and a few minutes walk from the CPP parking building which is so handy if you have a car. Staff are always so lovely here, making checkin always a breeze. Will be coming back here when I am in Perth next.
Pillows are slightly too hard. There is no elevator so you have to lug your bags up the stairs.
