The Green Dragon Inn and Pub was oh so charming and cozy. The atmosphere in the pub and bar was wonderful and full of character. This inn is dog friendly which made the experience even more enjoyable. We didn’t bring our pet, but it was great to see how accommodating the inn is to pet owners. The little shop is great and very convenient since there isn’t much around the immediate vicinity. We went in late December and still found plenty to do nearby.

When we arrived, there was a mixup with the room we booked. We booked two rooms on the same level with garden views for both, but when we arrived one of the rooms was already taken. So we had one room upstairs and another downstairs. It worked out ok because the room upstairs still met our needs. We’re not sure if it was Booking.com’s mistake or the GDI’s. Also, there is a precarious corner turn to get in and out of the property. The road is very narrow and you can’t see cars coming from the opposite direction.

The accommodation at the Green Dragon is located in a separate building at the rear of the pub, ensuring a peaceful and comfortable stay. During my visit, I opted for a Double Room, and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of comfort it offered. The bed was incredibly cozy, providing a restful night's sleep, and the combination of soft and firm pillows catered to my personal preference. One unique feature of the room was the shower enclosure, which was conveniently located within the bedroom itself. While this may seem unusual, it could add an element of intrigue, especially if you are sharing the room with someone. The Green Dragon also boasts ample parking spaces for its guests, both at the front and back of the establishment. This thoughtful provision ensures that residents have no trouble finding a secure spot for their vehicles. As you make your way to the restaurant, you'll be delighted to discover a menu that showcases a wide range of delectable dishes, all crafted using locally sourced produce. While the prices may be slightly higher compared to other pubs, the quality and taste of the food make it well worth the investment. Keep an eye out for the charming wooden carved mice adorning the table legs, as these small details add a touch of whimsy and make the Green Dragon a place you'll want to revisit time and time again.

The staff were all fantastic - service throughout was faultless. Room lovely, bed and bedding super comfy! Full English both mornings- great. Food choices at night - had marinated pork in oregano and the fish pie. Both delicious, as was the creme brulee and sorbet... Superb shop on site. Nice atmosphere in the bar area - neither noisy or crowded.

As it's not a hotel - was missing a comfortable seating area to relax after dinner but it was ok sitting on at the dinner table till bedtime! A little biit remote location wise.

Very pleasant dinner and breakfast options. The rooms were well arranged, clean and of a high standard. The manager was very helpful. The location is very quiet and rural.

As visitors to the property it could have been beneficial to advise us in advance about the time at which the kitchen was closing, as all other options for food in the area were also closing at the same time (early evening). That said, we were very happy that the manager accommodated our slightly late food order.

Beautiful quintessential country inn with lots of attention to detail. The rooms are well equipped and they even have fresh milk. Our room was unfortunately very dusty, Mr Sheen (other polishes are available) would have a field day in there. Parking for motorcycles is in a private area right next to the accommodation, so it is safe. The food is OK, quite pricey but you are where you are. The breakfast for 2 people is £30. All in all, a nice place for an overnight stop.

Nice stay: it was an old building but nicely decorated according to modern standards. Food in the Inn was really good. Enjoyed the meals we had there. Central in the Cottswolds. Nice environment and friendly staff.

Room was a bit on the smaller side. Bathroom was nice size. The dog rooms were taken so we had to pay an extra fee (for the extra cleaning), this was not clear on booking the room but was communicated in a message afterwards by the owner (after booking).

The location was delightful and the food very good. Staff super friendly and the trading store a bonus amenity on site. Loved it. The patio doors onto the lawn surrounded by trees and birdsong was welcoming at the end of the day

The bathroom was a bit tight for two people sharing with not enough surface area for toiletries for two people. My colleague had a much bigger bathroom and twin room which was lovely so it is worth checking with the venue your desired room

Arrived a day early on accident (a calendar mistake!) and was immediately accommodated by the staff. Rooms were available, and they ensured we keep our rooms for both nights without needing to switch (to the rooms we had actually booked on the wrong date!). Service was wonderful, staff were warm and friendly. Berthing we needed was taken care of. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cute pub with wonderful, updated, clean, stylish rooms!

Parking, adjoining rooms and garden space for my daugther's dog at the rear of their room. Delightful old country pub with accommodation well situated for Cotswolds - Cheltenham and Cirencester. The pub is great and very popular so do reserve. The Sunday roast diner was knock out.

TBF our room and bathroom area was a little cramped and we struggled to get the room right temperature for us so ended up opening windows through night. Would stay again though.

Excellent quality and choice for evening meals . One of our two mornings breakfast was better than the other (different chef's?) Good choice of Beers with plenty of pleasant and helpful staff.

small room with bed too close to window eve and radiator. Danger of bruised knee and shoulder! Dangerous exit from pub (not overflow) car park on a blind bend . Needs a good mirror across road.
