- Beautiful and amazing view, you can see many stars at night(Even when the weather is bad, the scenery is still beautiful, resembling a fairyland.) - very clean and comfortable - fully-equipped with all the necessary amenities, e.g. cooking oil, seasonings, laundry products… I highly recommend this chalet. It's best to stay for at least two nights and to spend more time in the cabin to fully enjoy such a beautiful place. The lovely scenery adds to the relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, and it offers great value for money. If I travel here again in the future, I will definitely stay here again.

- The lighting in the chalet is rather dim, especially in the kitchen, which makes cooking less convenient. It would be better if it were a bit brighter.

The chalet was well designed and furnished and the large picture windows showcased the spectacular views of the Tamar River, valley and beautiful autumn colours of the vines! Even whilst soaking in the bathtub! Everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable 2 night stay. The coffee machine was a bonus. Just a short stroll to the Tamar Ridge winery was a great place to spend an afternoon, not to be missed. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to visit the distillery next door, definitely next time. We certainly recommend the Armalong chalet and look forward to returning. A very special stay.

It was the view from this property that attracted me to book it, and it did not disappoint. Looking out over the Tamar Valley was beautiful, and at night the moon over the river was spectacular. The location is very good for exploring Launceston etc, and parking is really easy being right outside the door. The accommodation is really spacious and nice with all you could need and more, the bed very comfy, and the bathroom is really modern and clean, with a lovely large shower, and a huge window to take in that view again. The outside deck is private with good modern furniture, and a BBQ. Loved seeing the wildlife at night coming out into the area below.

The only negative for me was the traffic noise. Inside its ok, but on the deck outside unavoidable, it's a shame.

This is one of the nicest places that we've stayed in Tasmania. It has a great location with a stunning view and all the amenities we needed. It is well maintained, very clean, and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and responsive. Near the property, we saw pademelons and many birds, including kookaburas. It's almost perfect.

Any honest review must mention a couple of minor things. The chalet is close to the A7 highway, so there may be some unwanted noise during daylight hours. Even with all the windows closed, you can hear the low rumblings of occasional trucks, which can damper the "staying on a winery" vibe. Also, there are no solid window darkening shades. So for those who want complete darkness for sleeping, they will need a mask. For these reasons, I could not give it a 10.

The location and views steal the show and the apartment is so large and beautifully appointed. It had absolutely everything you could think of needing with a full kitchen and large fridge for self catering options and a coffee machine which was well used throughout my stay. Milk, chocolates and Christmas cake were also left for me which was a lovely touch. My favourite part of the day was sitting on the balcony in the morning, drinking a coffee and soaking in the sounds of the birds all around me. An absolutely beautiful place to stay with a winery and gin distillery on site!

The only thing I didn't enjoy was having my internet device removed from my room the day before I was leaving and having no access to wifi. With no phone reception it threw my phone time out and I ended up being behind time the next morning. Apart from that I can't fault the stay whatsoever. Highly recommend a stay here. Wish it could have been longer and hubby could have joined me this trip. Would definitely stay again!

The apartment was exceptional. We were 2 couples travelling together and the set out was perfect with 2 seperate rooms with their own bathrooms, kitchen etc. Beds was extremely comfortable. Location was great, remote and quiet but not too far to what we needed by car. View was exceptional!!! We loved waking up to that view each morning. Apartment had everything we needed and more, such as shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, coffee machine, pods, milk and so much more! We loved it and will definitely be back.

The pillows and the bathroom door was slightly broken. Nothing major. These did not impact on our stay, but if there was something I'd suggest it would be having a range of different pillows (firmness).

The biggest selling point of this chalet is the view! WOW! Sitting in the lounge room or balcony looking out at Tamar Valley from the large glass window is amazing. Located right in the Tamar Valley Cellars, it is a great spot to explore both Launceston, Tamar Valley and beyond. Bathroom is spacious, modern and with a gorgeous view from the tub, bed is large and comfy, kitchen has everything you need, lounge and large TV is provided. Overall, wonderful and relaxing accommodation to stay in if visiting for a few days.

The chalet we stayed in was a little closer to the main road (but not very close) so during the day there is some traffic noise with sliding door open but not at all distracting really. The kitchen and lounge furniture is slightly outdated but all still functional, and quite comfortable and cosy. The location is best accessed by car so would not recommend for people using public transport to travel.

Location was excellent, with an amazing view over Tamar Valley. Spacious apartment, very comfortable king bed, huge bathroomand shower. Loved being within a winery and the walks with wildlife around. We shopped and ate in for the 2 nights, being a bit out of Launceston. However with a view Luke we had, we did not want to eat out.

Was a little old fashioned for my taste and had a musty smell when closed up all day.

The view and location were both beautiful. Amazing wildlife located on the property DRIVE SLOWLY. Located on a winery, overlooking a lake. Not located in the city, need a car to access the location, but beautiful and quiet for those looking for something a little more intimate and secluded.

The only downside to the property was the lack of laundry facilities and kitchen sink. Though it was self contained, dishes need to be washed in bathroom sink, and laundromats are available in Launceston only a 10 minute drive from the property.

Home away from home. Well appointed apartment. Everything u need to enjoy your stay. Absolutely stunning views. Comfy bed. Fluffy towels. Essentials like coffee, tea, sugar and other pantry staples including toiletries all supplied. Great base for exploring the Tamar area.

Unfortunately no water on arrival as there was problems with the plumbing. A short time later the water was back so we could use the toilet ect. Two days later the same problem no water. Helen kindly offered to collect us and take us to a nearby home to shower ect. Thankfully it was fixed later that day and we didn't have a problem after that.
