Location is perfect for Grab pickups and airport access, and much more relaxing than Old Quarter. It's just 10 min from L's Place (best import grocery in Asia), 15 min from the huge markets at Vincom shopping mall and Lotte. It's a fully stocked kitchen, so eating at home is easy. Staff were super-professional and breakfast was really nice (they even modified things for us since we're vegetarian).

We wish there'd been balcony furniture and bed lights, but everything else was provided, including detergent for the washer. Hot water doesn't last quite long enough for relaxed showers (less than 10 min).

yêu hà nội ❤️🇻🇳 My first trip to Hanoi and against a locals advice to stay in the Old Qaurter, The Five Reaidences on Doi Can Road, ticked all the boxes and then some!From the warmth of the reception and late night check-in after a cancelled flight, to the modern and Uber clean rooms & amenities and the staff…smiling, kind & generous reception, cleaning & especially, the restaurant staff. Special mention to Huie & the Manager Dyong & their skilful, attentive fun & smiling teams. Excellent service!! The argument against staying here was the distance to most of the cultural features of the old quarter with its gorgeous French Colonial influences at every turn. However, at just 70,000dng ($5AUD) to get there in a Grab or the EV version Xhan SM- and we did, multiple times- we were still in front cost wise and relaxed from the comfy rides and milder crowds! These modern serviced apartments are on par with the latest in mid range luxe in Sydney for 50% less. Doi Can Road is a fantastic eat street in its own rights and equal to any of the Michelin Guide packed & long lined joints in town. Modern German Kitchen appliances are all here but why would you cook when one of the worlds finest & most delicate cuisines is just feet from your door. Indoor pool was a hit with the kids. Great facilities, reasonably priced salon and spa. Breakfast was amazing!!! The manager also felt bad they ran out of pancakes on morning and specifically put some aside the next morning for my son. Will definitely go back and recommend it to my friends and family

Was a little way out of old quarter so tours wouldn’t pick us up. But old quarter is only 10-15 minutes away so it was easy enough to get a grab. Was actually nice being away from the pollution of old quarter

The food was great (breakfast buffet) - varied options for vegetarians as well! Staff here are extremely nice and helpful 24/7. Gym, pool and sauna were all amazing too (main reason why I chose this place). There’s a supermarket right downstairs which was super convenient. Perfect if you’re after somewhere to stay that isn’t in a tourist hot spot.

Not so much that I didn’t like, actually! Only thing is that it’s further from the areas in the city that have a lot to do, so you’ll have to get a Grab to most places… but as mentioned, that’s also one of it’s selling points!

The service and accommodations at Five Residences were fantastic! I received above and beyond treatment with each interaction I had with staff at the location and over phone/email communication. In particular, we had one specific staff member, Chloe, who went above and beyond to make sure we had as comfortable and enjoyable an experience as possible. From suggesting places to go for our family to providing schedules and location information for all the best sights in and around Hanoi. She even went out of her way to make my birthday feel very special by organizing a birthday cake and happy birthday song with my family in our living room during our stay. Her efforts and hospitality were very much appreciated by our family! Our rooms were spacious and comfortable along with the living area and fully working kitchen. The cleaning staff kept our place very clean from check-in to check-out. It was also great to have a washing machine for our clothes after running around in the heat all day. The breakfast buffet was great with many food options and our servers checked on us regularly inquire if needed anything. All restaurants inside the Five Residences and attached to the building were very good and convenient. It was also great having a full service grocery store attached to the building.

Not really a complaint because my kids still enjoyed the pool each day of our stay and it was great to have a pool to cool off in at the end of a busy day but the circulation around the indoor pool area can use some improvement. The gym, sauna and locker room area were great however the indoor pool was the only spot that could use some slight improvements.

We had trouble communicating with taxi drivers outside of the accomodation and found ourselves lost at one stage however once we returned to the hotel, Duy Anh (Jun) went out of his way to ensure the rest of our trip would run smoothly. He organised a tour guide that was able to speak English and took us on a beautiful trip to Ninh Binh. In addition to this Duy Anh, always made sure to check in with us and provide any assistance regardless of where we were. If not for him, we would not have had such a beautiful experience. Thank you Duy Anh for all your help. Hopefully we'll meet again in the near future.

very friendly staff, very good cleaning, excellent breakfast, great facilties in room (e.g. washing machine for longer travels), great facilities at gym and pool, excellent services at reception. During my stay, the staff were always very helpful.

the only thing I did not like is not about the hotel itself, but the construction noise from a next-door large construction site, digging and shaking all night till 3 am for a few nights. But I understand it was NOT the fault of the hotel, as the construction was not on the hotel's premises.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a smile. Great staff and kind- they were able to help us with many things such as tours and recommendations. We are a family of 5 so we booked a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment had what we needed (e.g washer, dryer, kitchen with microwave, good size fridge). A well stocked convenient store is just around the corner which was amazing. Places we needed to go to were approximately 10-15minutes by car from the accommodation. Which was also fine by us and no issues there. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and the staff there were so friendly.

The staff at this hotel were amazing, very kind and helpful. The room was fantastic, all the amenities we could possibly need, lovely comfortable bed, and a great shower. The pool and sauna were great and they have a great breakfast with lots of options and fantastic coffee. The only thing I didnt like about his hotel was the airconditioning. I could not adjust it to a cooler temperature or turn it off and it was too hot - although, I did not aks for help, so this is probably a me problem! We will definately stay here again.

Location: Nice prominent location on Doi Can Street. Dedicated car entrance, sheltered pick-up drop-off point. People: Very helpful, courteous, polite and well-mannered staff across all departments including reception, housekeeping, restaurant, gym/pool, securities. Consistent professional service. Food: a good range of breakfast buffet items to choose from, different dishes everyday, nice taste. Room: spacious 2 bed apartment with nice city view. Very pleased that it was the unit that we initially requested. The apartment had everything we needed and more. Daily amenities top up, towel replacement, cleaning and vacumming. Loved the fact that all the amenities are bamboo products, a nice touch on the environment. Pool/gym: clean and new, we didn't have much time to enjoy these facilities though.

There was ongoing construction works 2-3 floors above our room. The noise was a bit too much sometimes. We were informed on the third day of our stay, but not before. Thankfully, we rarely stayed in during the day. The hotel did apologize with a written notice and offered free tea and coffee in return. Appreciated the goodwill gesture.
