The Maritim is a lovely hotel just across from the river. They had emailed me info on the parking location as directly underneath the hotel (16 euro per night as for the Congress Centre) and sat nav took us straight to it. Receptionist (young man) very friendly and informative and our room was ready early. Very welcome 2 bottles of water in the room which was spacious and had a balcony. We walked in and out to the centre (5-10 mins) by the river which is a lovely walk (from 1 bridge to the other). Has a very busy bar for a late night drink. Breakfast was amazing - huge range of foods (they have a butter maker!, well dispenser), very good service from staff and a large outside seating area where we sat for a while after breakfast. They make their own bircher muesli which they sell or reward you with if you're staying for several days and don't get room cleaned which is a nice touch (we were only there for 1 night)

The room was very spacious and luxurious. The breakfast, although very expensive, was really excellent. The location on the River Main was ideal.

Signposting to the swimming pool in the hotel needs to be provided - it took ages to find it!! Also more advice about car parking prior to and at arrival would be useful. One can park free at the nearby Talavera car park just across the river and if one uses the car park below the hotel, then one should present one's car parking ticket to the reception staff each morning for payment as the hotel has a special arrangement with the car park so that the 24 hours can be valid overnight - otherwise one pays foe each calendar day separately (i.e. twice as expensive!!).

The Maritim Hotel serves an amazing breakfast with so much choice. My husband is vegan and he was very well catered for. The breakfast restaurant is really lovely and bright. We also stayed for dinner and the food was really lovely. We enjoyed our evening meal. Again the staff were accommodating of his food needs. I highly recommend the catering. The hotel is very convenient for the railway station and close enough to walk into the centre. The room was spacious and comfortable, even had a fridge. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and pleasant.

The hotel reception was very busy and it was time consuming to get room keys sorted. They didn’t work first time round. We were on a floor that the main lift doesn’t access, so the staff kindly allowed us to go through a staff lift area but that was quite unpleasant. I had requested non feathers because I am allergic, but there was a feather pillow on top of a non feather one. I had to shut them in the wardrobe, but it still affected my breathing. I didn’t sleep at all well. I wasn’t well enough to use the leisure facilities, which is one of the reasons I chose the hotel, so I was a little disappointed with the overall experience.

Even though the building and the lobby look somewhat outdated, the room was modern and comfortable. The beds were good and the shower was especially good: the water temperature was digitally displayed and adjustable with plus / minus push buttons. The airconditioning in the room was good and withstood the heatwave that the city was experiencing. The breakfast room was bright and airy, the buffet was good but light on sweet options - only croissants and danishes and these ran out about an hour before closing.

The check-in staff assured us that our room overlooked the river, and had a great view, which it did not. Not a big issue, as the view was over the old town but there was no need for dishonesty.

Breakfast was great, a really good selection. Even basic room was quite large, bed very comfy, shower good, good amount of plug sockets in actually useful places! All staff were very friendly and helpful, reception, restaurant and cleaning staff. It was a nice touch with the "reward" for not having your room cleaned every day!

Floor with pool on it could do with a little improvement. Pool itself is fine, but when you come out of lift the hallway looks like a bit like a parking garage, and there is little signage. It feels like you have accidentally ended up in a staff only area!

It’s normally safe to book a hotel attached to a conference centre and this is a prime example. There were plenty of staff; convenient onsite parking (though expensive); large comfortable rooms with mini bar and walk-in shower with rain shower head; lots of variety at breakfast; and there was food and drink options onsite for dinner/after work.

There were black hairs on one of my pillows. Luckily I didn’t need to use that pillow. Oversight I suspect as the rest of the room was spotless. Price of parking onsite was expensive.

The location was good. Great to have a pool. The room was an acceptable size and standard.. There was a bar and restaurant on site

The bar was closed 2 of the 3 days we were there although there was a machine serving beer and wine. There was a lovely Terrace restaurant with outdoor views but we couldn't eat our meal there. No access to room service after 9.30 pm for those arriving late. No kettle in room

This is my second time staying at this fantastic hotel, this hotel is very clean and has nice modern rooms, good air con which was needed during our stay as it was 35 degrees. Rooms and swimming pool are very clean. Massive choice of fresh food at breakfast. Something for everyone there. Staff through out the hotel are excellent and very friendly. Underground car parking which is easy to find. Hotel is in a great location and easy enough to walk round the city or get the tram from outside the hotel. I can’t wait to visit again

It was very convenient to Town and castle, close to the river walk The hotel was clean and the staff friendly Breakfast was good but quite expensive but quite usual for this kind of hotel Enjoyed the pool which had long opening hours

The mini bar was not stocked and was expensive We had no dressing gowns in the standard room or coffee maker Had to ask and pay extra which i hadn’t experienced before

Nice location, easy to reach by car, the personnel was very friendly. If you come by car, you can park in the Congress Centrum parking lot. You can reach the hotel from within the parking lot. The parking lot is large enough to park a SUV, you need to be a bit careful when driving to another level though. The room is large and very comfortable.

If you come by car, you need to pay extra for a parking space. For a whole day it is 16 euro..
