If you’re thinking of booking don’t think twice. This place is absolutely worth it. The staff is so kind and welcoming and the views are truly unbelievable. They will meet you and help you carry your bags to the room. The stairs can be a bit tough but they do their best to help you when checking in. We traveled with our moms who are in their 60’s and they were able to get up and down without issues. The stairs are worth the breathtaking views from the Villa. I am biased as we got engaged here but I couldn’t think of a more perfect place. Villa Frantoio will always have a special place in my heart. The breakfast every morning was delicious and the cappuccinos are some of the best I had on the Amalfi coast.

Villa Il Frantoio & Lilmar was incredible. Amazing views from our private balcony looking over Praiano, Positano & the Amalfi Coast. Giulio & his team were extremely helpful with the suitcases, local sights, Food options & were accommodating with dietary restrictions for breakfast. I celebrated my Birthday while there, I had not mentioned this but they had a cake & candle ready that morning when we went for breakfast. It was a nice little touch! Facilities were clean, a nice pool area for when the beaches were busy. They've kept the rustic feel about it which adds to the character. Will recommend to all friends & family as a place to stay if they visit.

everything about the property exceeded our expectation. The staff and the owner were available for any questions we required. The breakfast was made to order and a shortorder chef (usually the owner) was there to make anything we needed. Fresh fruit, breads and home made jams were abundant. We were in the villa attached to the hotel, so we we had those services available to us. And the views...we incredible!! Highly recommend---and we wished we had styed longer...next time we will!!

Amazing stay at Villa Frantoio. We stayed in the Villa which was spacious and beautiful. On the morning of our first breakfast, another hotel guest small talked us about how good the service was- she was spot on. Fresh towels daily, as well as room cleaning. Hot shower! This alone sets apart Giulio and his staff from other accommodations on the Almafi Coast. But they also cook eggs to order for each guest, AND have a full breakfast spread. Friendly hosts who clearly have a passion for hosting guests at their Villa. If I ever return, I wouldn't question staying here again. Praiano is beautiful and we couldn't have been happier with the location. No other town we visited lived up to our expectations. Lots of steps up to the Villa, but if you are worried about it w luggage you can take a car up to a more ideal access point for the Villa.

Everything about this property was fantastic and wonderful!! Roberta sent us a very detailed video on where to park our car and how to walk the steps to the property. She met us at the gate, gave us very detailed information about the area, including dining options. Then she encouraged us to put our feet up and rest for a while! Which we did!! We opened the door to our balcony and listened to the sounds of the ocean and Praiano! It was heaven! The views from our room helped create a sense of ease and calm - overlooking the sea! Our room had everything we needed, including a spacious shower. The daily breakfast created by Julio was incredibly tasting and filling! Oh, how I long to eat breakfast again overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean! Julio even made cappuccino with non-dairy creamer for me! I would highly recommend staying at Il Frantoio in Praiano!

That we couldn't stay longer.....

Praiano is the hidden gem on the Amalfi coast, small, cosy, nice little restaurants..... in the middle of Amalfi and Positano, but those 2 are overcrowded by tourists sailing in for a couple of hours during daytime (already in the beginning of April !!). Villa Frantaio is a very beautifull property, with probably the best views you can have on the Amalfi coast. Nice rooms, little (heated) pool, outside breakfast area with veranda overlooking the sea.... But then, the real differentiator, being our host Giulio and his team (Lia, Gianluca....) ..... they treated us like kings and queens, with enthousiasm and proudness, but also with a lot of respect and kindness.

Nothing. We got better on the stairs by the day .... don't let them discourage you from visiting this accommodation and their wonderfull hosts.

Everything about our stay at Villa Il Frantoio was perfect. The location is ideal, situated in a great part of Praiano with easy access to the best views and restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious and fresh and the view from the breakfast location was incredible. The staff was all helpful, kind, fun and all went out of their way to make us feel at home. Giulio and his entire team were beyond compare and we just wish we were still there. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Praiano.

Nothing about the hotel could be better. The location is tough if you want to take public transit to neighbouring towns. But if you rent a scooter, or are keen to just stay in one place, then it's ideal.

We booked the entire villa for our friends and family for the week around our wedding. It was absolutely spectacular - all brilliant rooms with incredible views towards Positano and Capri. Guglio met us in Praiano to help with our cases, and kept the villa clean and tidy around us. The breakfast buffet was fabulous with fresh coffee and eggs to order. We weren't sure what it would be like having staff there but they weren't imposing whatsoever, and they were incredibly helpful for travel advice, and obviously cleaning and breakfast too. The pool area was beautiful. Praiano is far quieter than the nearby Amalfi and Positano either side so we'd definitely stay here again when visiting the coast. There's so much more we could say, everyone has told us what a marvellous week they had. We'll definitely be back as a couple.

Some people may struggle on the 200 steps up to the villa but we had grandparents approaching 90 and they got up and down absolutely fine!

The location was perfect. Praiano is not as busy as the surrounding areas - such as Amalfi and Positano, so we enjoyed a quieter location for our stay and we travelled into Positano and Amalfi. It was very easy to get the bus to these places and Giulio was very helpful with giving us directions to the nearest bus stop, times of buses as well as recommendations for restaurants and places to go. The rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was very good - with lots of options. The pool and the communal areas/garden and terraces were well cared for and clean. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. There are lots of steps (which is common anywhere you go in this area) but Giulio met us on arrival and helped to carry our luggage down to the rooms and back again at the end of our stay. We took a private boat tour with https://www.lordsboat.it/ The boat trip was excellent and Giacomo was fantastic. We would highly recommend! We would come back here again!

One of our best hotel stays ever. Stunning view, which many locals told us is the best on the Amalfi coast. Large room with a sizeable patio to sit and watch. Good location to get to see all the towns in the area. There was a heated pool from which you can watch the sunset. Wonderful staff who really made our stay a pleasure; they even worked out it was my partner’s birthday and brought a cake without being told to! We would absolutely stay again

There is a lot of walking and stairs to get to the location, which you should be aware of, but this is true of anywhere on the coast. Very much worth the walk!
