The staff was exceptional. Despite out relatively late arrival we were greeted with kindness and swift service. The restaurant, despite it being almost closing time, till provided us with a delicious, freshly cooked meal, which made a long day of travel end on a good note! The room was clean, simple but spacious with complementary water. Free Wifi was provided throughout the hotel with very good connectivity! The Hotel is located right by the Autobahn and on a major street into the cit center. A tram station is in walking distance. We took rented scooters and it took us about 20 minutes to arrive at the Dom. The breakfast buffet was vast and very delicious with warm and cold foods on offer.

Given the nature of the location close to a major street and tram line, the noise with the window open was a lot. Window closed, however, it was no issue and aircondition is provided! The beds were also a bit too soft for our taste but that is the case in most Hotels :D

The staff were extremely pleasant and lovely. Our room was cleaned everyday and clean towels and linen. The breakfast was great and plenty of choice and options

After being there for a week, we decided to get some laundry done. Unfortuantely when the laundry returned we were left with a bill of 207 euro for two people for a week of laundry which can be seen as very expensive and should have been told alternatives as this was a cost we weren't expecting to incur, not at this high cost for sure.

Staff very helpful and friendly. The beds were probably the most comfortable for myself and my wife that we can remember.

Very disappointed with the view aspect of the room as it looked out onto the very close gable end of the next door block of flats. If you were booking a concert ticket or football stadium seat this would be shown as a VERY RESTRICTED VIEW…. Unless you like gable ends!

Was clean, comfortable, great continental breakfast and really friendly staff! I can only recommend. It was a bit far away from the center, but comfortable to use the local transport

Actually nothing. Even the fact, that it’s not a center of the city, there are a lot of cafe, restaurants and not over occupied places

The accommodation offers everything you could need to sleep over during a busy work travel, comfortable bed, clean bathroom. The location was also very nice, easy accessible from the highway, there is also good connection by public transport to the city center.

The room was maybe a little bit too small. We specifically asked for a twin room but even though we got two separate beds, there was no space to actually make them separate, let's say more than 10 cm apart.

The Dom and Lindenpark park was my favorit plases.Realy like köln.

Well it was euro footbal and maybe thats why the trains where out at one time but nothing to complain about.

Very friendly and helpful stuff. Near the tram line, so you can reach the center with no problems.

Very small parking places. If you will arrive with bigger car (like MB GLS or similar), you can have some problems with parking. Breakfast are very crowdy.

Clean. Quiet. Warm. Close to the tram. The staff extremely helpful

If it had a small fridge or minibar it would be perfect. It was the ONLY minor downside.

Staff very helpful and friendly let us keep our luggage at the hotel after we checked out due to late flight home .A great array of choices at the buffet breakfast .evening meal enjoyed .Thanks to the restaurant manager made us feel very welcome .Thanks to all the staff at Essential by dorint keep up the good work
