We were looking for a quiet hotel stay, which we indicated in our booking a year in advance. The front desk called us a month prior to our arrival to inform us that they had received a booking for a large party. Not being able to guarantee silence, they suggested we come a week earlier. The hotel indeed was very quiet in the room overlooking the golf course. There are kilometers of unobstructed view, right out of your window. The curtains are nice and dark, and there are blinds on the outside of the windows to block the low evening sun, which are electrically controlled by pushing a button from within the room. The rooms have so much closet space, you could stay for a month without doing laundry. There is even space to store your suitcases. Besides the room, the breakfast is delicious. During weekends, breakfast runs from 8 through 11 AM. The hotel does not go cheap on the food. There are original Dutch and French cheeses, smoked salmon, various kinds of meats and eggs. The hotel is incredibly well kept clean. The cleaning crew was also quiet and friendly. Finally, the hotel is easy to reach. It has ample parking, and is located only 20 minutes from the city center on a good day.

Although the beds seemed comfortable at first, having mattress toppers, through the night we kept twisting and turning because the mattresses themselves were too hard. At time if this writing (December 2024), due to the high costs, the hotel has no night porter after 9.30 PM. They ask you to use a back door, using your key card for access. Unfortunately, this leaves you with no access to the elevator, which is an issue for people with disabilities. Check-out is early, being at 11 AM. This one hour difference between 12 PM and 11 AM makes the subtle difference in how you experience your morning of check-out; leaving rested after breakfast or feeling you are in a rush because you have to leave early.

Location and ambience of the whole hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful especially the young lady on reception at our arrival and for the next two hours who went above and beyond. Even though there appeared to be a major golfing event being hosted during our stay, we were still treated as being important hotel guests

There was nothing not to like. If we were to comment in a negative at all it would be that there was no coffee/ tea making facilities in the room for that all important first cupa of a morning

The hotel has new facilities and the view is over a golf course. It is very quiet and a pleasant stay. It has its own parking and has breakfast, without a restaurant option (you can order it from a nearby restaurant for delivery). The room had a minibar, excellent shower and a good bed. It is far from tourist attractions and easily accessible from the road. The staff is very friendly.

The breakfast left something to be desired, as it doesn't have a very large structure so some things that ran out were not replenished (that was the answer they gave us). I missed fruit (bananas, oranges, etc...). Unfortunately, I forgot my daughter's glass in her room and was unable to get advice for it to be sent to me, even though I paid the costs. I didn't think there was a good relationship with the customer after the stay.

The room was really nice and the bathroom was very clean. In the room was also an Air conditioner which worked quite nicely. The hotel is in a really quiet place. The staff was incredibly friendly. And it was very helpful that the time for breakfast was written on the little envelope of the room card. And the breakfast was really nice. They had a coffee machine with the usual coffee variations but also hot chocolate and hot water for tea. Because of a very short stay I sadly wasn't able to enjoy the golf course, but It did look nice and maybe next time I get to play a bit.

If you are on foot it is a bit complicated to walk up to the hotel. The road gets a small "side walk" after 1/3 of the road up. It was a bit uncomfortable to walk there but otherwise it was fine.

The facilities were excellent, nice clean and modern. I would like to say that the lady who did the breakfasts every day was superb. She appeared to be doing it all on her own, did very well with those of us with little German. She is an asset to the hotel and should be rewarded for her good work.

It was a bit of a trek to get into Coligne, car required or lots of Ubers

Friendly staff and a nice room. Two main plus are the intercontinental breakfast and free parking on site which is something not easy to find in Cologne city centre. Location is also in the middle of a golf club, with a lot of green around. A car is highly recommended as it is approximately 15-20minutes driving to reach Cologne center. Uber/ taxi is also an option available but depending on the length of your stay a car might the best option.

Cleaning on arrival wasn't 'the best 'under our beds. No 24h front-desk check-in is only available until 9.00PM.

Nice and clean. Very friendly staff. Nice food and lovely area.

On the Saturday morning there must have been a competition on. Our room was above the entrance to the hotel and we were woken up just after 6am by the competitors waiting to play. They were all milling around, talking really loudly. Was not a nice wake up call.

A wonderful setting in the Kolner Golf Club. Surroundings are beautiful, staff are friendly and welcoming and rooms are stylish and large enough. The restaurant was amazing too - fabulous dishes with really friendly staff. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Rooms don't have kettles or tea/coffee making facilities. Not sure why, but this was missed!

Calm location with plenty of parking space. Good for a relaxing weekend or to visit Cologne by car, so the short drive to the hotel is not a big deal. The golf field in front is a nice bonus if you are into the sport.

I drive an EV and was sad to learn they don't have any kind of charging facilities. I've asked for an outside power outlet just to charge enough to reach a fast charging point the next morning, but not even that was available. Fortunately I could make it, but the hotel being a bit far from the city center it should invest in charging stations (even the public ones that you pay).

We got a great room with a view of the golf course. It was very good value for money. Taking a leisurely breakfast on the terrace overlooking the golf course was wonderful! The location was perfect for us to visit a concert at the football stadium.

The fridge in our room wasn’t working, but this didn’t negatively affect us as we didn’t need it. The staff were very forthcoming in dealing with this minor issue
