My daughter and I loved the hotel. It is in the medina in an old building, but the property has been beautifully and sympathetically restored. The bed was really comfy, and the room was lovely and warm (we were there in mid-January). Breakfast was very nice, and the serving staff was lovely. We arrived late [at 22.15], and the owner arranged for us to self check-in, which was very straightforward. Free parking is available close to the medina. Finding the hotel in the medina the first time was a bit tricky, and Google maps was vital, but it is actually very quick and easy. Contact with the owner/ manager was excellent, and they were really helpful, answering any queries promptly. I would recommend this property.

It would have been really helpful to have had an information guide provided. For example, we didn't know where breakfast was. We would have liked to use the spa, but we didn't, as we weren't sure of what we needed to do. We did have issues with getting hot water. [The owner/ manager dealt with the issue really quickly. I think you just have to run the hot water for a long time, and eventually, it comes!]

Everything about our stay at Dar Hammamet was perfect. Excellent communication with staff throughout the stay, our room was gorgeous, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations (especially the fresh strawberry juice!). The attention to details really shone through in the design - we felt like we were in a magazine. The location right in the middle of the medina was very cool, as well as the view of the medina and ocean from the lovely rooftop. We enjoyed a relaxing morning in the hammam on our last day, which again was designed beautifully. We would recommend Dar Hammamet to anyone traveling to Hammamet!

The Dar Guesthouse was absolutely gorgeous! The interior of the common spaces and rooms made you feel right at home. The location and placement was only a few minutes' walk away from the beach and other historic monuments They have a Hammam from 9-2, a perfect way to relax as this spot is very popular for bath houses. The rooftop was epic and another wonderful place to relax, unwind, and have amazing views . Marwa, the manager of the Dar, was absolutely lovely to interact with and was extremely helpful in so many ways. The staff were also so kind and thoughtful and always there when yoh needed something. My stay was so amazing I booked an extra night! Thank you to Marwa and the staff, I highly recommend this place!

A charming Tunisian dar (traditional house) with an open patio in the heart of the medina. Designed with a taste, where respect for tradition and modern simplicity are perfectly balanced. Marwa, the manager, as well as other staff members, are friendly and caring, the breakfasts are rich and tasty, and the rooms are comfortable and very clean.

Amazing stay like in palace! 🏰Decorations, focus on small details. Colors!💯🌈👌⭐️ Safe place. New kitchen, AC, free tea/coffee. Room good size, clean. I slept like a princess! Extra pillows, blanket. I liked lights in the room, so good , you can control what light you need from bright to romantic like candle flame🤩 mini carpet nice to stand, because in winter time floor so cold. Close to the seafront and restaurants, markets. Breakfast good enough for the morning (coffee, pancakes, sweet bakery, omelette, ham, veg, som extra sauces). The lady, she called me after check out to ask how was my stay, room(cause she was not in the hotel). I never had a call from hotels after I left, really surprize me in good way. Very nice traditional Tunisian design, welcoming and cozy. Comfortable and clean. Good wifi . Good communication with host prior to arrival and flexible self check in during to arrival time. Nice terrace. Location is good for restaurants and night life.

Breakfast not bad but could be better. They assume that you will like eggs mixed with some fake cheese and ham so they just bring that. The selection of beard and jams is nice as well as coffee machine. Just be mindful that the taxi will only take you up to one of the gates of the medina and then you need to find the hotel and with your luggage. Some people in the medina gate will help you but you need to tip them as expected.

The experience staying in the local house. From the look outside from narrow street, all these rooms and exceptionally decorated rooms beyond imagination. Dining area was decorated with tiles, beautiful lamp etc. the breakfast was very simple yet I enjoyed every condiments and dish to guess what it tastes like and discover good combination of condiment and bread and veggies. Good communication with the owner of house via What’s up remotely and attentive staff on site helped breakfast. Roof top view at dawn was exceptional, 360 degree view of Hammamed and sunrise from the ocean. The tranquility of hotel. It was so silent at night, no noise from the street.

During the weekend, we had a delightful stay at the "Dar Hammamet Guest House," ideally situated in the heart of the medina, which required a short walk to access. Our decision to choose this guest house was driven by our desire for a unique experience outside the typical hotel complexes, and we were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance of "Dar Hammamet Guest House" is charming, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. The level of cleanliness was impressive, and we couldn't have been happier with the overall experience. On the first day, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast at the guest house itself, which set a positive tone for the day. On the second day, there was an unforeseen emergency that prevented the usual breakfast service, but the gracious hostess, Marwa, promptly arranged for breakfast at a nearby cafe. We sincerely appreciate her attentiveness and understanding during the situation. In conclusion, we wholeheartedly recommend "Dar Hammamet Guest House" to anyone seeking a special and enjoyable stay in the medina. The pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, and overall experience left us with fantastic memories of our weekend getaway. We can't wait to return for another delightful stay in the future.

Dar Hammamet Guest House was a relaxing retreat quietly tucked away within the old town medina and only steps away from the ocean. It is very peaceful here. I enjoyed the 360 rooftop view. There's a small hammam here too. The staff were excellent. The manager, Marwa, was quickly responsive to anything I needed and always found ways to accommodate including an early check-in. Her assistant, Mariem, also prepared the best daily breakfasts I had in Tunisia. I was very happy here.

The design and interior of the guest house preserves tradition. It provides a homey and authentic experience given that the property is inside the medina. The breakfast is amazing! There’s a good spread of breads, spreads, dips and savoury items. Marwa and her team made us feel at home and I think that is the magic of this place. They were very attentive to our needs and request. Oh, by the way, the towels smell fantastic. My friend slept with them. 😁

There is nothing that I did not like. Just a tip for travellers in navigating around the medina. While locals are friendly, there will be people who will use the interaction for you to visit their shop and sell you items. Be courteous when approached but be firm if you are not interested in checking out their items. If you like great value local stuff, the store beside the property is amazing! It’s priced aptly and you don’t have to go through the arduous process of negotiating.
