Beautiful view from our balcony. The hotel is very close to the sea and the staff were very friendly. The sunloungers by the pool were very comfy and the view from here was also delightful. The dining experience was easy to navigate.

The food quality was average but this was expected. The coffee was however not good at all, meaning we tended to get coffees from the main bar instead rather than take the complimentary one with breakfast. While there was a fridge in the room, there were no tea of coffee-making facilities. These would have been nice given the balcony and the view!

Superb location for beautiful small beach with clear water. Lots of pine trees to give shade from the sun. Staff in dining room, reception and throughout the hotel were efficient, friendly and polite.

Quite a trek to Paguera where it's possible to get snacks, something which is missing in Carla Fornells. Hotel food is good (apart from roast suckling pig! yukk), but a bit expensive.

Comfortable traditional hotel in a lovely location right by a pretty cove. Although the area is built up, the hotel was quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a relaxing stay. Room was spacious and beds very comfortable. We had half board; the quality of the food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely sea views and woodland walks behind the hotel.

Limited public parking around the hotel. We recommend using the hotel’s car park which cost €10 per night.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cala Fornells! All the staff are warm and welcoming, the decor is classic and well maintained (not run-down at all). The hotel is generally very clean, and we regularly saw the hotel's maintenance man (who was also very friendly) busily making his way around the building, fixing little things here and there. It was clear to see that the hotel is under good management. I would say it's definitely worth paying a little extra for a sea view as the hotel is in a fantastic position and the view from our room was gorgeous. The buffet breakfast is excellent, it exceeded my expectations. The selection of foods on offer is generous and varied. All in all I found the hotel to be charming, clean, friendly, in a beautiful setting and very good value for money. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to all the staff for making our trip special.

Honestly we didn't have any problems or complaints during our stay. The hotel is a real gem. I would just let future visitors know that like most beaches in Europe, the beach in front of the hotel isn't private, it's open to the public, and since it is small it can get crowded. Beach beds cost €4.50 each per day.

Great place with a very professional staff. The hotel provides everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It is accessible for people with disabilities, including the outdoor pool on the top floor. There is a small and lovely beach right in front of the hotel, and sunbeds are reserved for hotel guests until 10:00-10:30. However, since the beach is public, you will need to pay for the sunbeds and umbrellas. Also, you can conveniently rent a car directly from the hotel without any deposit required. The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet area, making it the perfect retreat for rest and relaxation. For those looking for more activity, Peguera is just a 15-20 minute walk away. Additionally, the hotel offers free shuttle rides to and from Peguera four times a day. Palma is also easily accessible, just a 30-minute drive away.

Keep in mind that this location is designed more as a retreat than a typical busy, noisy beach resort. If you're looking for more action, it might not be the ideal choice.

Charming hotel, delightful location on the beach, really lovely terrace for drinks, spacious bedrooms with big balconies, pleasant pool area without many children, general ambience of old school luxe. Great for grown ups looking for quiet, casual elegance.

It's quite a walk into town to the local bars and restaurants, rather steep too, but we found and enjoyed an alternative route through Cala Fornells village area with lovely scenery and picturesque villas that turned the trek into a pleasure.

Great hotel in a beautiful location, quiet and clean. Amazing food, especially dinner buffet - large variety of food, healthy and fresh, something for everyone. The beach is tiny but sufficient for nearby hotel guests. Clean and nice, there is shade without having to pay for an umbrella. The hotel provides free beach towels that you can freely exchange for clean ones whenever you need. I have travelled with a husband and a young baby and it was a great place to stay in. We had a big terrace where the baby could play whenever we were not at the beach. I have travelled a lot but Ann rarely that impressed with the place I stay in. I will come back one day!

Everything was amazing! Maybe just pizza from the hotel restaurant was not their specialty but the fish was delicious!

The most important thing to say is that ALL the staff at this hotel are friendly, helpful, good tempered and exceptionally efficient, couldn't rate them highly enough. This alone made a very positive impact on our stay. The breakfast buffet was very good - varied, plentiful and again the staff were very pleasant and efficient. Same goes for the dinner buffet. The location of the hotel is at the end of the road from the nearest town, Peguera. This means the traffic is very light and gives a sense of exclusivity. The bar terrace overlooks the Cala with good views across the crystal clear blue water, natural shading from the trees and comfortable seating. Excellent free shuttle to and from Peguera 4 times a day or you can walk - use the coast road (map from reception) about 15 to 20 mins tops.

The terrace bar is well located for drinks in the evening and drinks and light lunch in the afternoon. The slight irritation is that you cannot bill to your room and must settle the tab there and then. This means that a pre-dinner drink for example, must be paid for before entering the dining room - caught us out a couple of times. The hotel provides towels for the pool and beach and even reserves sun loungers with towels for guests. The pool itself is quite cold (maybe time of year being mid-October) and the beach is tiny and rocky and gets crowded very quickly. We anticipated this but it's worth pointing out for travellers who may look forward to some serious lounging on a sandy beach.

We had a sea view room with a beautiful view of the bay which is stunning. Huge comfy bed with the room clean and well serviced.Air con works well and WiFi . Absolutely all the staff were friendly helpful and professional couldn’t fault them. The pool on the roof was sparkling clean and warm. There are enough sun loungers and a small pool bar. Breakfast had huge array of choices ..something for everyone I think. Delicious fresh bread good coffee and assorted juices. The sea is absolutely gorgeous for a swim a little sandy beach with a few sun loungers available but payable as don’t belong to hotel. Very safe for children to swim and snorkel.

A small gym but no air con 😑 pretty useless in July with high temperatures. Car park is 10 euros a day.

We loved the location, cleanliness and friendly staff. Although the furnishings are a bit old, there is everything you need to ensure your comfort in the room. The breakfast buffet is very rich. The cafe is very pleasant and the food is very tasty. If I go to the same area in Mallorca again, I would definitely choose the same hotel. There are no restaurants or grocery stores nearby, but this adds a nice touch to the area. There are also hiking routes very close to the hotel. The city centre is a pleasant 20-minute walk away. If you don't want to walk, free transfer during the day is also a great convenience. This hotel is not for those who want to party, but for those who want to spend a quiet and pleasant time.

The hotel's restaurant menu definitely needs to be expanded. The food service in the café ends after five, similar options should definitely be added to the restaurant menu. The spa area has only a small sauna and a small indoor pool. I would have liked a steam room and a jacuzzi. The electrical sockets in the room could also be increased.
