This is a very unique, historic hotel with a lovely lobby and great staff. Rooms were cleaned daily and the breakfast was phenomenal. It’s nice to have a little chat with the other hotel guests while having breakfast, as well and the space lends itself to conversation. We love the open bar, honor system style lobby. Silvia, the kind woman who works the front desk was very warm to my son and I. She made sure we were well taken care of and had all our needs met. The owners of this hotel are very lucky to have the hostess at the breakfast, as well. The staff spoke perfect English and took interest in our family. The bathtub was luxurious and we enjoyed it.

The glass in the tub was open to the room so we felt a bit self conscious showering with family in the room. Perhaps consider a shade that could be rolled down on the outside of the window?

There is pretty much nothing to fault. The stay was amazing. Our stay in this hotel was outstanding from start to finish. The rooms are in a beautiful medieval palace in the heart of Siena. It is quite a small hotel, which makes it feel very homely and cozy. The room was absolutely beautiful and had all the amenities that one would expect from this price range. What struck me particularly was how big the rooms were, how clean and how big and comfortable the bathtub was. In the morning there was an incredible breakfast spread waiting for us downstairs. But the most special thing about the hotel were the employees. Everyone was absolutely fantastic and made our stay so enjoyable and positive. Thank you all so much! You deserve a pay rise.

The only thing was that the room we stayed in was partially connected with another room via a door (that was locked shut, but nonetheless very thin). This means that you can hear a lot of noise from the neighbours’ room which can be unpleasant.

Wonderful view from room. Gorgeous building. Comfortable beds. Great central location. Helpful staff.

For the price( essentially A$1000 per night, the attention to detail was lacking. I think they were short staffed?)Breakfast was very average( not v fresh) and coffee awful. Perhaps supplying complementary bottled water in rooms ( and making this evident) and filtering water for coffee/ drinking and using premium quality coffee would help. Sheet changing/ freshening should really happen at this price point. Little things, but when you are paying a lot, they should be there.

Palazzetto Rosso is in a great location, on a quiet street close to the Cathedral and Piazza del Campo. There’s lots of shops, restaurants and cafes close by. The building is an old palace, although it’s been renovated in a modern style, I love the juxtaposition of the old and new. It has a lovely breakfast/bar area just off the reception which is very peaceful and ideal to relax in after a day’s sightseeing. They have an honesty bar so you can help yourself to wine and spirits and pay the bill later. There are a small number of rooms, 9 in total, we were number 6. It’s a very large comfortable room, quite red and funky which was in stark contrast to the huge fireplace and high ceilings with lovely frescoes. There was lots of choice at breakfast. However what we appreciated most was the warm welcome from the staff, they have lots of suggestions and ideas to help you make the most of your stay. We’d highly recommend staying here.

This is a very minor point, the shower in our room wasn’t that user friendly so we preferred to have a bath instead.

We loved how welcome we felt immediately upon arrival - we were a little early but it was no problem for us to have a cup of tea (or coffee had we desired) and complete our check in. While the parking is situated outside the walls of the city we were given really good directions for the car park before we arrived and a discount voucher to use. Location of the hotel is an easy walk to the main thoroughfare and the cathedrals. There was not a huge selection for breakfast but it was nice. The building is absolutely gorgeous and we loved its ambience.

I liked EVERYTHING. The most beautifully appointed boutique hotel we've ever stayed in. From the quality of the bed linen and towels to the well-stocked mini-fridge; the stunning decor, the incredible breakfast.....and the staff.....the building was originally a palace, and all the staff treated us like royalty. Seriously. If you want to feel pampered and really valued, stop what you are doing right now, and book a stay in this hotel!

There was more of a walk to the hotel from the car park than we expected.

The location was fantastic - right in the heart of the city but down a quiet side street away from the throng of tourists. Perfect!!! The ladies who run the place (Sylvia, Angela and Hilaria) are simply amazing…they greet you every morning and are so friendly and helpful! In fact, I don’t think I’ve stayed anywhere where the hotel managers are so lovely. The hotel itself is stunning and full of history. The breakfast was delicious and lots of choice with fresh fruits, pastries, hams, cheeses fresh coffee, tea and juices! If I could have rated the hotel higher than a ten, I would have done! Thank you for a perfect stay!!! Xxx

Nothing at all…everything was perfect!!!

This is a gorgeous hotel that was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. It is 4 minutes walk from Campo and the centre of Siena but on a quiet street. The interior reveals an aged property with lots of great touches - there is a great central staircase but also a lift (for sore legs). Our room was pleasantly art funky with lots of space and very comfortable. I think every room is different but assume the other rooms are equally lovely. The room didn't have AC but the room was cool even during a heat wave. The breakfast buffet was also excellent We would happily stay there again.

Ilaria was so lovely and helpful. When I arrived after a fall on the train, she made sure I had ice for my foot. She also came through with a local tour guide the last minute after our prearranged tour guide did not show up. The other staff were also very helpful, especially the gentleman, who was so kind, served us coffee daily, and had wonderful ideas about what to see in Siena.

What a spectacular property in a historic palace. Old world meets modern eclectic interior design. Great location in heart of city. I loved how large the room was and also the soaking tub…complete with a candle and matches which I used after grabbing a drink from the honesty bar. The breakfast was delicious with so many options and was happy to see all the fresh fruit. Staff were very kind and helpful as well - no ask was too much. Had such a relaxing, dreamy stay in this hotel - only wish I could have stayed longer!

Nothing - it was perfect.
