Fantastic location, though it’s on the edge of the city square, everything within is well within walking distance, and being near the east gate leaves you walking distance from the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, the Warorot market. The Sunday walking street is starts at the end of the driveway the hotel is down. 7 Eleven 2 minutes away, I had a suit tailored while I was there, and the shop was again 2 minutes from the hotel. Chiang Mai is a wonderful place to see elephants, my partner and I did a half day trip to be on an ethical encounter where we fed the elephants fruit. Should note, hotel doesn’t have an elevator, was no issue for us but just to know. The streets surrounding are very busy but we had no issue with noise at all. The staff were very accomodating to us, we arrived very late at night and as well their card machine was having issues and they let us wait until that was resolved to pay for our stay. Rooms were serviced every day, bed made, new towels, two bottles of water, it was truly a great experience.

No elevators could be a bit of an issue Included breakfast was a bit bleak, toast and cereal, nothing warm, we never bothered to have any.

Really great value for money. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nothing luxurious but i you are in Chiang Mai to explore this is a perfect hotel, because the beds are good and pool is lovely to cool down after a day of exploring. The breakfast is simple, but not far from the hotel (200m) is an amazing breakfast cafe Stories. Shopping street is only 100 meters away. The taxi can take you to all other parts of town. The hotel helped us with booking trips and such. The hotel is on a very quite road. I highly recommend this hotel! We stayed here with our whole family of 8 people.

The property was in a convenient location, and for the price this was a very good stay. The bed was comfortable, we got water each morning, and the pool was clean and nice to sit by, though there weren’t a ton of seats in the sun. The staff were all incredibly friendly, the mini-breakfast was mini, but had exactly what we needed to get started for the day (fruit, yogurt, toast, coffee& tea).

The least convenient thing about Vieng Mantra is the wifi- it was generally pretty poor and blocked safe websites that we were trying to use. Thankfully, I had a SIM card so I didn’t need to rely on it, but if that’s not the case for you, this might not be the place. Also, the walls were pretty thin. Guests were very respectful and we had a quiet and relaxing stay, but I imagine if people were noisy it would be a different experience.

This lovely, little hotel is very well located just a block off the main street where the Sunday night market is, but enough away that it is very quiet. Its location is very convenient to lots of shops and restaurants and bars. There is also a laundry service just around the corner, which is very inexpensive and laundry is done in a day. The room was quite large with an extra seating area, and a lovely balcony overlooking the pool, which we used every afternoon to cool off in! The hotel had added a continental breakfast to its amenities, which was nice to have.

Location of the hotel was amazing, walking distance to all the must see temples, 20 minutes walk for the night market and there are so many restaurants around the area as well as massage places. The hotel room was clean and very comfortable. Working showers with hot water and clean linens. AC and plus a pool to cool down after a busy day. The staff was very nice and helpful. You can also leave your luggage after check out.

Wifi access limited in the room. The continental breakfast is very restricted for a continental breakfast: only one type of bread, one type of milk, one juice, 2 types of cereals, sachets for coffee & tea, one fruit and one yoghurt. If you are lactose intolerant the continental breakfast is not worth it and it is better to eat breakfast outside. They prefer cash versus card. There is a 3% charge for paying by card and plus you must pay cash to access the continental breakfast.

Location location location; the cleanliness of the hotel and the helpful, decent and delightful staff enhanced my stay. My room was lovely and spacious and the bed was outstanding and after seeing the city most days, it was deeply rewarding to sink into a comfortable bed. This hotel provided very good value and highly recommended. Thank you for demonstrating remarkable customer service!

Having cooked breakfast would have been a bonus, but I managed with the cold breakfast and had large and filling lunches.

We enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were great, good size, nice and clean, well maintained and good air conditioning. We had rooms that overlooked the pool. I would definitely advise to upgrade to the rooms that view the pool. You get a great veranda and it's fab to sit out on. A location of the hotel was excellent - really in the centre of everything. We would recommend this place to anyone.

Staff are a little quirky. We found across Thailand that everyone was soooo helpful. Here they were polite but not up to the level you get across Thailand. Just a mention. Also, as many people have said, you can get breakfast included if you pay cash. From what I saw of the breakfast I did not miss out on anything. We paid on card and got charged an extra 3% :-) But - we liked this place and would go back quickly.

Small hotel in the old city. The staff were exceptional and spoke good English. Great pool to cool off in. Small but perfectly equipped room where everything worked and the shower was powerful and the water always hot. Small balcony overlooking the pool caught the sun in the afternoon so you could dry any washing on the provided rack. Great strength wifi. Can buy beer and cocktails at the front desk for little more than they cost in a store. Bed very comfortable, clean towels everyday.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this great little hotel.

Gorgeous hotel, so charming and comfortable. Staff were first class. Location perfect for exploring old town and the Sunday night market. Rooms were clean and spacious, and the pool was luxurious. The balcony was comfortable and fun to relax on. A laundry drying rack was provided and much appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel!

It wasn’t a big deal for us but the shower got water on the floor every time. They gave us lots of towels and bath mats to wipe up and the housekeeping staff made sure everything stayed clean. Also, people with mobility issues should know that there is no elevator. Again, not a problem for us.

Excellent location- a short walk to ATM, 7-eleven, pharmacy, Thai massage places, spa/nail salon, heaps of great restaurants, the city gate, temples, markets - everything! Staff were very friendly and helpful, we were able to check in very late and they held our room. Spoke English & accepted Visa. New hotel restaurant- very delicious food, big portions, and affordable. A bookshelf with lots of options to borrow. Room was clean, good AC, bottled water provided, had affordable minibar and snacks in room to purchase. Comfortable beds, excellent water pressure in shower. Lots of power/plug sockets & USB ports, including by one of the beds. Great affordable laundry service, and even cheaper option in very near laundromat. Has nice swimming pool - but its very public with lobby, restaurant and room balconies all facing it. Small private back courtyard with chairs, table and clothes rack. Almost no natural light - this was great for us as it kept the room cool and we didn't spend much time in the room but may bother others.

We stayed in the family room and it wasn't what we expected. It didn't quite make sense in terms of layout and function. The door to the private courtyard is hard to access because of one of the beds and there is a sofa but not much space to really use it. The room has two large beds but there are no doors to separate the two rooms, so no privacy. It's more so one big room with a wall dividing part of it and a separate bathroom. The shower didn't drain well and the shower and the rest of the bathroom is only separated by slight ridge so a bit tricky. The toilet is really close to the wall & the toilet paper holder location means it's in your way/awkward. Another towel rail or hooks in bathroom would help especially for family room. WiFi was unreliable.
