A truly beautiful and lush oase close the Lovina, a bit located up the mountains. Restaurant and pool area by day and night very beautiful and cosy, great to relax and swim. Room was amazing, great eye for detail with flowers, a luxury experience. Yoga classes every monday and thursday. We really appreciated the free shuttle service that took us to the village at least 1-2 times per day. Best of it all, the staff. Truly warm and engaging - with us, our children and we were taken care off in all aspects. Chapeau!

The food is good and shows clearly a high ambition but in our opinion overpriced. A main dish adds up to 450K IDR (incl service fee and tax), and that is not worth it, although - as said - it was good. In Sweden we pay less for more. It was for us the reason not to eat at the hotel half of the time. Good food, but overpriced.

Absolutely beautiful villas and top-notch service. Gorgeous territory, with jungle and a view of the sea. Fantastic food, especially the breakfasts. Special thanks to Wulan and Wayan at reception, Sri and Adi in the restaurant and Gede for good driving.

The villa had a noisy pool pump right below the bale and veranda area, in a room without a door. We turned it off, but this seems like a design flaw in an otherwise very well-thought out environment. A better approach would be to have a closed pump room, so the pool pump can be active without being acoustically disturbing at the same time.

We arrived using The Damai airport pick up driver therefore we were collected in a beautiful car with drinks and cold towels from the airport. The reception team were therefore expecting us at 1045pm and were able to check us in quickly and even arrange for some dinner to the dropped to the Villa. The Damai itself is a paradisical place set in Lush Gardens with the most attentive staff one could ask for. The team go above and beyond to make sure everyone's stay in special including learning all guest names, dietary requirements, likes/dislikes etc. The attention to details in the rooms/villa were excellent. We were staying in the Master Pool Villa (Umar Ratu) therefore we had the beautiful infinity pool from most of the promo shots one sees for this hotel. The decoration, the outdoor decking and pool were maintained multiple times per day so the place looks perfect 24/7. Finally I would highlight the food at the Damai - each breakfast is a special occasion and the dinner menus/cocktail menus are outstanding (be willing to be pay a premium for such cooking if you can). I believe this to be the best resort in Lovina and so do the locals down on Lovina beach !

We loved the staff, the service and the stylish and well presented facilities. The restaurant was superb and the bar offered classic as well as innovative locally influenced cocktails. Wifi was easy to connect and delivered all we wanted. The hotel also offered free shuttle cars to Lovina and excellent local excursions. We loved it, and are already discussing our next visit

We were the first guests to arrive after the property was re-opened following a three-year closure and were treated as such. They could not have done more to make us feel welcome.

The villa had a terrific view and great infinity pool and was finished to a high standard, the staff were very attentive and genuine. The owner Nils was a terrific host and we very much enjoyed his company. It is a lovely place to stay and a great experience.

The hotel is absolutely wonderful, it is not on the main road and the view of the ocean with the sunset is truly breathtaking, the food excellent and homemade but what made everything more exciting, perfect and magical was the staff! ! When I left I shed tears. I wanted to thank Wulan very much who made my holiday special, she is a wonderful woman and excellent at her job, I will never forget her, Budi makes fantastic cocktails and is very friendly and the guys who serve the tables have entered my heart Putu is very sweet and also the other guy (I don't remember his name, sorry) was very good and I was surprised that he knew some words in Spanish. VERY PROFESSIONAL thank you very much

The Damai is our favourite place to stay in Bali, and we stayed at some great places. The room was beautifully presented, the private pool was outstanding and we had uninterrupted views down the lush green valley to the coast. The staff looked after us like family and the Balinese dancing lessons for the local school children on the entrance steps were such a wonderful introduction to the local culture. The location is wonderfully serene and quiet, you can't help but relax. The restaurant by the reception pool is superb, albeit expensive by Balinese standards but worth it. The breakfasts were also outstanding. Buy the Damai cookbook, there's a copy on the coffee table at reception but it's not obvious you can buy it unless you ask. We used the shuttle to the local beach and some other restaurants as well, Lovina is a lovely little place without the crowds and pressure to buy that you get in the south of the island.

It was a steep walk from the hotel reception to our room, although we could have got a golf cart to drop us off if that really mattered.

We enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Damai. Staff are attentive and accommodating. The place itself is an oasis surrounded by green which was very relaxing for us. Rooms are cleaned multiple times a day which we thought was a nice touch. Every time we returned to the room it was made up.

As others have said, the restaurant prices are incredibly high. The food is amazing, however, the prices are just not justifiable. Equally amazing food is available at external restaurants for less. To give you an idea, we paid AUD 36 for two small bowls of hot chips. If the prices were more reasonable then this place would be faultless.

Hands down the best hotel we have stayed at in Bali over 4 trips. Everything about this place is great. The whole atmosphere is very relaxing, never felt so relaxed in my life. The inclusive breakfast was amazing. Again probably the best hotel breakfast I have ever had.

A couple of minor points to note. The property is quite far from lovina town so you will either need a scooter or you can take advantage of their shuttle service which runs from 9-6. My only issue with the shuttle was that it would be nice if it ran complimentary until a bit later so that you can enjoy some of the local food. The Damai dinner was amazing but it is very expensive.

The Damai was the final accommodation of our Bali trip. We planned the whole holiday by starting with the most basic accommodation and gradually upgrading. So we went there with huge expectations because we had been to many wonderful places before. It far exceeded our expectations in every way. It is an incredibly authentic hotel in every way, the staff are so professional that we could not thank them enough and we learned a lot about professionalism and what it means to enjoy your work. Every single person working there was a special phenomenon, just looking at you made you feel better. Everything was taken care of in the design and construction of the hotel: from the naturalistic approach to the total privacy to the comfort to the fact that you always had a smile on your face, everything was so beautiful. Next is the food: Here I would like to thank the chef in particular for the work he has put into his talent and for the fact that we were able to enjoy this miracle that he presented to us every day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I would especially like to thank Dipa the manager for her work. Many could take his professionalism with kindness as an example (I do). Special thanks to Putu who takes service to a new level every day with his smile. I would recommend this wonderful paradise to anyone who can appreciate niveau, quality and love.
