This hotel is a very gem, one of the best I've ever been. It is located in the best part of Roosevelt Island, with an incredible view on the south east of Manhattan and Queens. It's also convenient to reach Manhattan from here, you can choose between the subway and the tramway (only 5 minutes ride to 2nd Avenue). It's very a pleasure after been all day in the crowd of Manhattan to come back to this peaceful island, without losing the chance to see the beautiful skyline of New York, in fact all of their rooms have the view exactly as you can see from their pictures. The hotel has also some services like the restaurant or the panoramic bar at the top. The view from there is incredible but the cocktails could be better. The staff is friendly but never intrusive. In the morning you can also have a free coffee or a tea in the lobby. Lastly, we paid what we expected without any hidden fee or cost.

As mentioned before, some services like cocktails served on the panoramic terrace should be improved. They costs a lot and even if the view from the rooftop is priceless, with a good cocktail the whole experience would be amazing. I really hope they will do something in this way, because everything else here is perfect.

great location with a relaxed atmosphere. room had comfortable bed with excellent views. (room 1506) very accessible for travelling in and out of Manhattan and surrounding areas. seating areas were plenty in the lobby and the whole island had a lovely peaceful feel about it away from the ‘city’.

very limited options for continental breakfast. access to panoramic bar is limited and felt ‘exclusive’. website is out of date meaning jazz music booking for a table (6 months ago) did not exist on the evening. staff were pleasant but lacked any character or hospitality, couldn’t remember us despite staying 5 days which is poor. room was only cleaned on last night for 5 day stay which was odd.

The hotel is unique with plenty of books behind the front desk and a huge guy holding a light. It's cool and in the best location. So glad I booked, being away from the city center on an island in a much slower more peaceful area. I would definitely stay again. The front desk staff were ALWAYS kind, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious enough for us. The lady who cleaned our floor (who did not clean our room) always asked if we needed towels etc. The hotel gives the option to book room cleaning service which I love, we really did not desire to have any cleaning over four days. The only negative was the restaurant. The food wasn't good. We only had breakfast and every morning there was a shortage of something. The egg sandwich was yucky, there is no nicer way to put it. But the staff was very friendly and responsive. Just next time I wouldn't do the breakfast add on. It was a rip off to be honest. Every morning, we walked away paying extra 🤷🏾‍♀️ made no sense to me.

Tell customers that breakfast is very limited on the package. I feel like I got ripped off.

one of the best places I ever stayed in NYC! The place is absolutely stunning. The room was spacious with a breathtaking view. The bed was comfy and the shower pressure was amazing. The neighborhood is great, not much noise. Walking distance to Starbucks and subway station.

the area is relatively “new,” so I t was hard to get a taxi in the area. I had to download the curb app to request one and a lot of them canceled on me for not being familiarized with Roosevelt Island. Hotel restaurant was a bit pricey ( the food was great though).

The fantastic view of the Manhattan skyline from our room window combined with the short, exciting trip from Roosevelt Island to Manhattan by tramway every day made this stay special.

Checking-in of arriving groups takes up an inordinate amount of time, meaning that no staff are available for anything else. Surely key cards could be prepared in advance for an expected party, for instance?

Excellent location. A safe distance from Manhattan in a quiet neighborhood, but it's only a cable car ride away. Good size room for NYC at thia price range. The hotel offered free luggage storage, before and after check-in which can be a lifesaver, however...

The reception staff I encountered weren't particularly welcoming. 4pm check-in time isnt very generous. The hotel offers luggage storage, however there is no receipt mechanism in place for this and the luggage is stored in an insecure room that is on the main route from the entrance to the elevators. As the hotel also has a panorama rooftop bar that is open to all, this means both hotel patrons and non-patrons have easy access to your luggage. When I collected my luggage, I walked into the store room, picked up my bag and left unchallenged.

Everything perfect except :

Breakfast is a joke . Complimentary breakfast is like cheating customers . 2 options for drinks (coffee americano or orange juice) 1 option for food like pastry or fruits or kellogs. If you need REAL BREAKFAST you have to pay extra.

Location, Location, Location!!

The place seems pretty disorganised. Breakfast was a shambles - waiting for ages to be served a plate of cold pastries by stressed looking staff. Surely a buffet would be better for everyone guys?

We liked the location and the god connection to the city. The view from the spacious room was amazing. So all in all a good and quiet choice for a stay in NYC but don't book breakfast or dinner there. There is a good choice of restaurants and coffee shops near by.

Breakfast was included for 20 $ but very low standard. Continental was only thin coffee OR orange juice and old pastries OR iced fruits OR a small bowl of cereals. The staff at the restaurant was untrained and helpless. If we wanted breakfast at half past eight, we couldn't get a table because of the staff problems.

The view from the room was incredibly beautiful! The room was clean and so were the common areas. Loved the location! In a very quiet and green area, with lots of space, close to the water, amazing views of the city, and very close to the city center by metro, cable car, and ferry. Best of both worlds!

Check-in was too quick and very neutral (not welcoming but also not unwelcoming). No information was given on the facilities and what the "resort fees" included. No info on the gym, the restaurant & Bar, the shared bike card, the free coffee and tea. We had to look for it and ask for it later on during our stay. We also got the surprise that the resort fee inclusions were not updated. Some things were outdated. Details, but still.
