One of 3 elevators is permanently out of use. The second one was broke almost all of the time and closed down; firemen had to come and get people out of it one time and another time I was stuck in it for 20 minutes. So that meant the third elevator was the only one in use and could take only 4 people—-for a building over 20 floors tall and with a bar and restaurant on top! Dozens of people had to stand in line all the time to get on an elevator and we were unable to come back to our room or to leave our room a number of times. If this is fixed I will come back; if not I will not as it is impossible to come and go from your room.

Everything, the location was awesome, the price is affordable, for midtown Manhattan, and the personnel is extremely kind. You will like you are at home. We had a nice apartment, with a kitchen and two rooms, and we enjoyed our stay. The view from the window is awesome. There is one great receptionist Hector, although they are all very kind, he was a real champ on our last day there.

Nothing. Only the A/C is a bit loud, but that is not something important or something that would make your impression bad. Although A/C is loud, it works well, especially if you are trying to keep it on all night (which we didn't)

It was great to have a 1 bedroom apartment in NYC. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious for New York. The staff were outstandingly friendly and welcoming.

the windows definitely need some cleaning and the residents need to be reminded not to leave their shoes or staff in front of the door. the heating system is difficult to manage, it starts cooling in the middle of the night by making a terrible noice that wakes you up.

Upon check in apartment wasn't yet cleaned from previous guest. An oversight on checking in maybe. Front desk staff were very helpful and courteous. We did see a mouse on the last night of our stay but it is a large city with lots of vermin. other than that the place was very comfortable and clean. Happy with everything.

This hotel is amazing value for money! It is situated in walking distance to all the main attractions in NYC, and in a pleasant, quiet neighbourhood. The room was more than enough space for two travellers for several weeks. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. There is ample dining and lounge space for at least two travellers and there was very minimal street noise that reached our room. We also really enjoyed the free coffee machine. There is also a free laundry in the basement of the hotel and all provisions like laundry baskets and washing powder are provided. We never struggled to access a washer or dryer, or had any issues with our laundry being moved or removed. There are plenty of fantastic, affordable restaurants nearby with a range of different cuisines. It was easy to find a quick bite to eat on our first night after travelling over 24 hours from Australia, and again when we returned late at night after seeing Broadway shows. There is also a supermarket just down the road which has everything you might need. The rooftop bar and restaurant has a fantastic view and was enjoyable to go to for a drink and quick bite to eat. Grand Central Station, the Chrysler Building and the United Nations buildings are all very close by, and you can see so many big attractions on your way back from Midtown like Times Square, the Rockefeller Center and the Radio City Music Hall.

This stay may be a challenge for travellers who are not comfortable walking extensively. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to the closest subway station and the main attractions like Times Square, Broadway and Central Park are each a about 30 - 40 minutes walk. The walk is pleasant and easy to do if you are able to walk these distances, but be aware that transport is not right on the doorstep of the property.

We were so happy, the location was fabulous with delis and restaurants within walking distance. The photos were a true reflection of the room. The staff at the desk were so friendly and helpful and acknowledged us every time we went out and returned. The room was so clean and the cleaning staff did an amazing job! It was lovely to have a hot beverage station too. Overall it was fantastic!

We were disappointed that I was charged the full amount before we checked in. We had previously arranged with the hotel to split payment with my friend on arrival. I was refunded but this took a long time.

Loved the Beekman for its spacious studio that included a kitchen......great for two people and MUCH more space than many NY hotels. Everything was new and clean and lovely. Location was good for getting everywhere, and it was nice to be close to the water and the UN Building in a wonderful neighborhood! Plus, Ophelia's at the top of the building was terrific.....great views, great drinks, great food, and wonderful servers!! We were up there almost every night!

The carpeting in the hallways was old and stained, and the elevators looked like they are rarely cleaned :-(
