1. The location was good. 2. The balcony was nice. 3. Their room ordering service was prompt. 4. Quality of food was good.. 5. They allowed to enter outside food in our room that we ordered thru Foodpanda. This is really good practice. 6. Their dining area in the open space is nice.

1. While entering into the hotel for the first time their manager asked me to pay the full amount for all the 4 nights which is usually unusual. I did not like that approach. Upon I questioned him about the reason, then the manager told me to pay later on. But the manager later on showed his helping attitude in subsequent days. 2. Water was leaking from Comod after flash. They did not repair itvduring our stay even. 3. Items in the breakfast was pretty less though the quality of food was good. 4. They need to concentration on ckeaning.

It was a pleasant experience staying at Amba Regency, Gangtok. The room was good with good internet connectivity though the mobile network remained poor throughout my stay. The size of bathroom was bit smaller but was compensated with good flow of hot water from the shower all the time. The complementary breakfast offered was basic at roof top restaurant that offers feast for eyes with spectacular view.

This was a last minute booking since the trip was hastily planned. We visited Gangtok during the Christmas week. Booked this hotel through Booking.com. I'll note the Pros and cons for easy understanding. Pros: 1. Mr. Amrit, the manager, is a lovely person, going out of his way to manage the stays. He even helped procure some medicine for my kid pretty late at night. So thank you very much again. 2. I reached Gangtok a day before my scheduled arrival, but they were accommodating enough and gave us a much larger room at the same price! 3. The hotel is bang on the main road, so no problem in accessing cabs/buses from here. Also it's just a few mins walk from M.G. Marg & Laal Market, which is the main tourist spot in Gangtok. 4. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. 5. The top floor rooms have a great view of the valley OR the main road (mine was a road facing one with a side view of the mountain). 6. The food, though VEG ONLY, was delicious and room service was prompt. 7. The rooftop restaurant has a great view of the valley. Overall, I was very satisfied by the services and would look forward to stay again, provided they improve on their breakfast menu and the smell issue.

Cons: 1. Not necessarily a con, but for a Bong foodie like me, it's a Veg hotel! So I guess that's self explanatory. I would suggest they increase the options in the Breakfast buffet. Also, it'll be great if they start offering at least boiled eggs & Maggie in the breakfast, maybe have a separate oven for that.. This makes it very easy for kids to have breakfast. 2. The room that I had been given, had a pungent smell all the time, which was probably the only turn-off for me. I had to keep spraying room fresheners. Later I found out that the main plumber was away and the replacement plumber could not get the issue fixed.

1. The location is very good. It is on the main road. The distance from MG marg was a 5 min walk from there. 2. The rooms are very big with 2 double beds, 2 sofas, 3 chairs and a lot of space.. There were 2 washrooms as well. 3. There is a rooftop restaurant and the food is very delicious. We even got a very good view of Kungchenjunga from the rooftop at around 5:30 in the morning 4. The hotel only arranges cabs for sightseeing, natula pass and zero point. 5. The rooms are equipped with music systems, good lighting, kettle, iron etc.

Nothing as such

Huge balcony in front was the best part of the room, I will miss the balcony and seating area. Very well maintained, bluetooth option for movie or songs was an extra ice on the cake. Dont go with the reception, its ordinary but the moment you will enter in the family view room you will see the diff. Location was very good, walkable from mg marg

They dont do room cleaning unless you follow up. Furniture were bit old, room they might have to upgrade. Food is average

Neat and clean rooms. Very good restaurant with tasty breakfast and mountain view. Close to M G Road. Polite and obedient Staff. Found value for money.

Rooms amenities exceed expectations with price paid. They offered a free upgrade which was very generous on the reservation in charge. Rooms are extremely spacious & comfy

Parking possible at hotel entrance for single car only. Although they can arrange elsewhere, would have been a hassle to carry all my stuff to room

The family suite with Mountain View is simply superb. The staff is very well behaved. The vegetarian roof top restaurant serves very tasty food. It's a excellent value for money if you want to stay in the heart of the city and yet have a great view of the mountains.

The entrance of the hotel looks a bit dingy but the moment you walk up the stairs you know you are in for something really good.

Almost everything. Wi-Fi poor though... But we are here for travel & not use internet.

Bkfst was awesome, near to market. Poor Wi-Fi, pure veg food. Overall value for money. No complaints.
