Steph & Phillip provided treats by way of homemade vegetarian pizza (yum) and chocolate/marshmallow bites (omg they were delicious!) as a welcome. Both were very engaging and wanting only to ensure a happy experience with whatever was requested. Serene property; wonderfully thought out individual home stays with the best of provisions/decor. Tranquil grounds to walk amongst native fauna - just beautiful and restorative. No neighbours: no traffic : only blissful peace and quiet. A gem of a getaway!

Located in a beautiful part of Victoria, 30 minutes away from Daylesford and Kyneton. The country air and view of large trees, native creatures and a place to bring our fury friend. Stephanie has out done herself with her cottages, she has thought of everything comfort and detail. There are other cottages on the property but they are far apart from the others. We stayed at the one bedroom cottage (see images). We had the perfect holiday and made it extra special to enjoy with our Golden girl Phoebe. We will be back for round 2, we feel very relaxed and unwound from busy Melbourne.

Such a gorgeous, cosy cottage. It was literally freezing while we were there. The reverse cycle heating, log fire and electric blanket kept us warm as toast. Great base for day trips exploring the area. The kangaroos, deer, ducks and geese kept us amused. Lovely stroll around the property. Bring good walking shoes if you like that kind of thing. The welcome potato and garlic pizza and the home made fudge were delicious!

We stayed at the one-bedroom cottage, which was spotless, and had a generously sized bedroom and bathroom. The dwelling was equipped with a split-system air-conditioner, but we used the wood fireplace making it very cozy on the cold winter nights we spent there. The bathroom looked new, had a big shower area and the water temperature and pressure were great. Our pup was happy there - she ran around off-leash in the fenced backyard and even explored beyond the perimeter on-leash.

We loved the location, inside the cottage was comfortable and inviting. There was a delicious fudge treat to welcome us and a homemade Pizza. Very clean and nicely laid out, wonderful king size bed, good kitchen facilities, with a large bedroom and great shower. Our lovely host Stephanie was a delight.

Outdoor furniture was uncomfortable.

Warm welcome upon arrival from Philip and even by phone from Stephanie, yummy home made pizza and fudge, spacious and clean living areas, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom with ample bench space, picturesque outlook, plenty of comfortable places to relax inside and outside, roos, ducks, geese and views. So much to love. Dog friendly with a secure yard, fireplaces for cold winter nights and two big reverse cycle airconditioners for summer. Was also an additional large bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Theres even a big dipper to get your adrenalin rush and give the kids a thrill on the road there from Malmsbury!

Im used to noise of a tv to go to sleep to so the wind and house noises took some getting used to. This isn't a fault of the place, just a personal preference. Gave me an opportunity to read my book instead. 🙂 There wasnt anything I didnt like. Will be back for sure.

I stayed in the one bedroom cottage close to the lake. It's lovely, bright and very clean, nicer and larger than it appears in the photos. It has a back porch where I often sat to enjoy the views and relax in the serene atmosphere. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and easy to reach if you need help. Thank you, Stephanie, for the pizza and brownies 😊 Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much and will go back for a longer stay.

Stephanie's cottages are an idyllic choice in a rural setting, not too far from Daylesford, Castlemaine and Kyneton. We had the apartment in the main house: very comfortable, very quiet and very well equipped. Probably best to have lunch out and make a simple dinner at home , so you can avoid the country roads at night. Plenty of space to walk around the property, plenty of wildlife and nice plants. Stephanie and Phil are perfect hosts.

Not surprising for a remote location, the internet was very slow. Something that should not worry you on holiday, but good to know if you plan to download any large documents, or something like that.

Location and nature. We were greeted by Kangaroos every morning and late afternoon. Inside the cottage, there is an old style fire with real woods and it’s not easy to start the fire, but once you have the fire, it’s healing to look at.

Shower drainage was somewhat blocked and the water overflew each time I had shower. From the cottage pictures, I expected bath tub, but the cottage we stayed only had shower. So it would be better if Stephanie clarifies each accomodation with either bath tub or shower. Inside the cottage was quite cold at night due to heavy rain too, but the fire place kept us warm. Inside the bed was pretty cold due to crispy cotton linen (would be great for summer) and quite heavy bedding. Stephanie had very comfy bed gowns and it would have been perfect if bedding was similarly warm and light weight.

The location was perfect for a quiet getaway but also close enough to Daylesford, Castlemaine, Maldon and Kyneton to enjoy the local area , discover some wonderful eateries , local shopping and some lovely scenery
