Great: Staff. They always have a smile and very friendly. Location: 5min walk to JR Akihabara, 6 min walk to metro station. Bic camera Don quihote, Mr. Donuts, cafe, manga cafe, anything everything within 5 min distance.

I didn't take stars off, but yes, it's UNDERRAILWAY, so surprise! You hear the train running, apparently at 4am, 5am etc. The only reason why I put apparently is because I'm a deep sleeper so I didn't mind it. However i can understand this may be an issue for some. Bed is the only thing I felt was subpar. Thin and not comfortable. Pillow too but you can ask for extra pillows and blankets for free.

The staff was friendly. The location is excellent near central Akihabara and the JR station. The beds are clean and comfy. The vibe of the cafe lounge has a nice cozy intimate feel. A lot of non-hotel guests also go to the cafe.

The only "complaint" is based on someone else's review who said, "you can barely hear the train" that is a BS review! You can Definitely hear the train rumbling above the bedroom. Though the staff provides ear plug amenities so that was nice of them!

Very interesting to be staying under the train tracks. The room literally wraps around the main support beam/structure that holds up the Yamanote line so you get to hear (and feel) the train moving over. The train stops around midnight so you get some quiet if you need to ... and restarts early at 0500 or so. Going to sleep the train sounds overhead lull you to sleep. They were also extremely obliging about keeping our luggage for a few hours when we checked out. 100% for train enthusiasts ... or even just for the novelty of it all. but not for those for whom noise is an issue. They provide ear plugs.

The toilet was tiny. The sole window opens up to a view under the tracks - not necessarily a bad thing.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Close to the Ginza line for connecting to Shibuya and Asakusa stations. Right behind the main street of Akihabara. The staff were fantastic. I have very little Japanese but this was not a problem for the staff and were always happy to help. Only slight downfall is I would say is the noise from the railway. I can sleep with ear plugs in but if your a light sleeper it wouldn't be for you. The price for a Tokyo hotel I thought was fantastic and will use again if I come back to tokyo

Loved the location and the staff were great! I liked that we were able to store our bags prior to check in and after check out allowing for more time to explore Akihabara and play in the arcades. The beds were comfortable and the toiletries provided were everything we needed for a one night stay.

You could hear the trains above the hotel and the fire station across the road. Other reviews said it wasn't bad, but I could hear it more then expected. Also the room we got had a smaller side entrance off the main hall that was shared with 3 other rooms and could hear them coming and going. The last negative was the floor was concrete and chilly.

Interesting and rather unique concept to sleep under a railway. Using QR codes instead of keys to access doors was a interesting concept, you can easily keep the "key" on your phone. Very new and clean furnishings. If you forget earplugs they have them at the hotel as well, which you will probably need unless you are a very heavy sleeper.

The sound from the trains were not a problem, but rather the sounds from other guests in the hallway, (whom must absolutely talk loudly for some reason) so it would have been nice with more sound dampening around the doors. I would have liked a laundy service at the hotel for convenience, instead I had to use a nearby coin laundry which is time consuming.

the position is really good, comfortable. Akihabara station is 3 min. walking from the hotel but you can also get to Ueno area in 15 min on foot. The staff was really nice and helpful. There is a small bar in the reception so you can have a drink there if you prefer to stay in hotel some evening. You can hear trains above the hotel but for me it was not a problem. Also because during the night the trains stop. Anyway, if needed, there are earplugs available in the reception

- great location just 5min or 200m from Akihabara train station, sheltered walkway, many eateries around - room was really big and bed was very comfortable, water pressure good and hot water readily available - nice cafe at hotel front desk area, discount on beer for hotel guests - QR code as access to room, no worry of keeping and returning key or card - trains only stop running from 1am-4:30am so had problem sleeping on first night, but no problem from second night after using ear plugs provided by hotel

- would be great to have coin operated laundry at hotel instead of the one indicated by the hotel being 400m away

The hotel is in a great location 5 minutes walk from Akihabara Station, with lots of food options nearby. The rooms are small but that is Tokyo, we managed to fit four people and four suitcases in a room with two bunks, it was tight but that's part of the experience. You can hear the trains but its barely background noise and we were so tired after sightseeing each day it had no impact on our sleep.

The location is incredible, only a couple of minutes from Akihabara station, and in the heart of the district. A great base of operations for exploring Tokyo. They also held our luggage on the day of departure.

The bathroom is snug for a 2m tall person, but that's par for the course in Japan. The tub was large enough to accommodate even my large frame. The train noise is minimal, more like a heart beat or distant thunder.
