From the moment you enter the gates you are treated with impeccably well manicured gardens. With plenty of parking if traveling by car. Walk into reception and you are greeted by the most welcoming host, Manuel who is very eager to explain things about the hotel and things to do around Tropea. Our room was very clean, nicely furnished and had a balcony overlooking the immaculate kept pool area. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to swim in the pool. The relaxed outdoor area in the shaded garden is a perfect way to eat an excellent delicious buffet breakfast with a large selection of home made savory food, sweets and espresso coffee, Thank you to the friendly ladies who always served breakfast with a lovely smile on their face. Clean fresh rooms with beautiful decor and a fabulous pool area. Breakfast under grape vines had a lovely collection of food and quality was excellent. The staff were fabulous and really helpful and friendly. The whole song where you arebtreblleing to hotel experience was beautiful.

The location is not great as you really cannot walk to the town as the road is too risky. Taxi is euro 5 per person, yes that is correct so a car trip can range from 5 - 25 euro depending on the number of passengers which is ridiculous as the distance of the trip is the same. Noting this can add up substantially depending

We had an amazing stay at Il Borghetto. The property is peaceful, beautiful and very well maintained. We had a room with a large balcony and sea view. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was AMAZING! There was an excellent variety of homemade bakery items as well sauteed and cured vegetables (my husband's absolute favorite). The hotel is an easy 5 minute drive into the historic center. We hope to go back to Tropea and stay at Il Borghetto. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely nothing. Everything was wonderful!

The hotel area is beautifully designed, it's a joy to walk around it. We really enjoyed relaxing in the pool, the bar is a nice addition to it. I should also mention the breakfast — it's fresh and delicious! The staff is very kind and helpful. The location is good and close to Tropea, but I would highly recommend you to rent a scooter if you don't have a car.

One thing that bothered us is the lack of noise isolation. The neighbors didn't care that it was past 10, so we had to step up with earplugs.

Beautiful rooms, (appreciated the upgrade! 🙏) relaxing pool area, fantastic breakfast with all home made produce, very kind and attentive staff. Peaceful setting amidst bio -friendly gardens ! If you arrive by train the hotel can arrange a taxi pick up which was useful.

We chose not to rent a car this trip. It’s a 25 minute walk into Tropea or a 15 euro taxi ride. The hotel owned restaurant is in the centre of Tropea and is very good with interesting menu, again using a lot of home made and freshly caught produce.

extremely charming little hotel, felt like a little escape. the landscaping gardens and pool are beautifully maintained. the rooms are simple but cute and sufficient for a beach holiday. the breakfast is all homemade and wonderful. staff are very friendly

the location is about a 5-8 minute drive into Tropea but it’s too far to walk exposed to the hot sun. the nearest beach is about the same, but there are serious elevation changes so the walk would be a steep downhill and uphill walk. it’s best to have a car otherwise you need to take a taxi everywhere.

Breakfast very good. Homemade foods made fresh. The mix of foods was good albeit unusual for American tastes. Very Modern facility with beautiful grounds and pool. View is pretty good but far from the beach. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Went out of their way to make us comfortable.

Too much walking to get to the room. Too many steps and hills for elderly people or people with back pain or other orthopedic issues. No coffee service in the room. Minimal furnishings in the room.

The location of the hotel was away from the city but close enough to take a taxi. We did have a car and there was no issue coming and going. They have an amazing pool area that was comfortable and calming. The grounds were lovely and the rooms were cozy and modern. The breakfast was fantastic with a great assortment of specially prepared foods, pastries, and fruits. Eating under the arbors was quite relaxing and a great way to start a day. Manuel and Frederica and the whole staff made us feel like family rather than guests. e truly enjoyed our stay and will recommend Il Borghetto Romano Creative resort to all our friends and family. There could have been a small end table next to the bed for personal items. Otherwise, it was wonderful.

Our family were fortunate enough to stay at this lovely resort for 5 days in early July. On the whole our experience was fantastic I would recommend to anyone who wants to relax outside the hustle and bustle of Tropea. Our room was spacious, with a good size bathroom. The room had a balcony over looking the attractive pool area and views out to the sea. The hotel grounds are meticulously landscaped with beautiful plants, flowers and trees. The pool was immaculate and clean with comfortable loungers and towels provided. There is a pool bar available and snacks accompanying the drinks. There is a small selection of toasted sandwiches / salad's available for lunch. Breakfast was a highlight with traditional Calabrian fare as well as the option for eggs / omelettes etc housed in a beautiful outdoor setting. The service was excellent - the property is family owned and you can see the care and attention & pride they put into their customers and work. We highly recommend this hotel for the serenity and relaxation, balanced by the access to the wonderful town of Tropea.

A couple of things to note that maybe useful - none of which affected our experience too negatively largely due to the boutique nature of the hotel. There's no laundry service, so if you need to wash clothes, bring some laundry powder! The resort is just outside Tropea and not practically walkable (no paths and quite hilly) - as we didn't have a car, we had to get a taxi to Tropea each night for dinner - dinner not available at the hotel (budget 5 Euro per person each way - no shuttle provided)

Every aspect of this resort is outstanding! Their mission, their personalized touch, their dedicated attitude, their immaculate rooms and manicured gardens, pristine pool area, delicious varied breakfast options, stunning decor and presentation, and their seamless ability to reserve dinner reservations in town at their family’s incredible restaurant. Everything was so easy and beautiful! I will return here without a doubt in the future. Magnificent. Amazing!!! Thank you!!!
