The staff were very friendly and helpful going out of their way to help us with an electric heater, and called a Chinese for us too as we had no phone service. I think they upgraded us to a seafront room which was nice.

We were excited to get a bath as per the booking info but it was just a shower. The lift doesn’t work, the place is quite dirty when you look into it like cobwebs in every corner, it was cold and the plug situation in the room was frustrating, the lamp was temperamental, the orange juice was some sort of cheap concentrate, the eggs were strange - tasted like hard boiled but flat like fried, there was a fly on the jugs and fluff on the toast. It was fine overall given the price but it could have easily been improved.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Yes, it is old, but it's clear that it has been well cared for and they have tried to repair everything so that everything works. Everything worked for us: the shower worked, the window worked, the TV worked, there was hot water, and a very beautiful sea view. It's very pleasant in the morning to leave the window open and listen to the waves hitting the pier. The staff is very good, the food was delicious, and they took care of everyone to make sure everything was hot. I highly recommend this hotel; it is perfect for its price. Yes, it's not a luxurious hotel, but the price is very low.

A kink in the door should be replace for more solid one.

Room was on ground floor perfect, a bed fit for a king - location was amazing sea, shops & things to do all on hand a stone’s throw away. Staff were lovely helpful too! Views were stunning.

Lift out of order, steps to breakfast was steep & dangerous no rail to support at top and as you come down low ceiling - Dad whose 80 had to crawl up as he is unsteady on his legs was not told about lift being out of order or that we had to go down a flight of stairs! AND devastating NO EGGS at breakfast 😡apparently waiting on delivery

Perfect location next to the sea and close to town. Very convenient.

There were no vegetarian or vegan alternatives at all, despite the fact that we specifically told them previously that two of us were vegans. You should have vegan and vegetarian options available whether or not people have requested anything. The rest of the food was adequate but could easily be improved. Additionally we didn't appreciate the breakfast attendant staring at our table while we ate. Understandably he wanted something to do since there was only one other person eating breakfast, but it felt very awkward. Checkout was quite early.

The hotel location was great. I was staying here after catching up with friends of many years and needed to stay somewhere local to Aberystwyth, so perfect. I was on the top floor and the small lift was very welcome after a large amount of Aberystwyth hospitality! Take the walk up to the top of Constitution Hill for great views, walk to the harbour, enjoy the many pubs, restaurants. Aberystwyth has a great deal to offer!

Though I found the room facilities satisfactory, I thought the breakfast arrangements could be better set up. I entered the breakfast area and no-one was there to show me what to do, what to expect. When the chef saw me, I was rewarded with a tasty breakfast though. See my comments above - the little breakfast problem was nothing in comparison to the stay I had here!

Very good buffet breakfast. Large room with sea view. Pretty fast and stable internet connection. Location is quite a way from shops/pubs etc, but near cliff railway and in a quiet seafront location. There is only street parking which could be a problem in high season (as area outside hotel is time limited during weekdays). Receptionist and breakfast staff very friendly. So overall liked this hotel and would rebook.

Only real quibble is that lift will only take one person (and indeed wouldn't move with me and two suitcases). But most smaller hotels would not have a lift at all.

Breakfast was freshly prepared and cooked. An amazing variety of cereals, fruit and a full english breakfast. Staff where very friendly, brought tea and freshly made toast to the table. Room was great. Pleasantly surprised, I would def go back. The view of the ocean was an added bonus.

Shower was a little wonky and did not work 100%, but i was greatful the water came out, it was just in the very hot side of thr temp.

The location is right in front of the sea, travelled in November, very cheap at £49, got a very very warm family room as the heating was on all the time, bath included, liked so much decided to stay for another week. 😀😀😀

At the time the lift didn't work as there can be up to 6 floors to the highest room, and there was a poor internet signal at the time, maybe they should reset their router to update their router.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, which added a positive note to the experience. The location is convenient, and the basic amenities are in place.

It’s clear that the property could benefit from some renovations. The overall condition of the hotel shows signs of wear and tear. The furniture in the rooms are visibly aged, and the bathroom fixtures could use an update. The common areas, such as the lobby and hallways, also appear outdated and in need of freshening up.

The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble. As I have had spinal surgery the young lady on the desk changed our room to a lower room no problem at all. Every member of staff we had contact with were exceptionally polite and professional. The room was a good size and it had comfortable chairs. The ensuite was also a good size.

The bed was rather hard and both myself and my husband had problems getting comfortable and going to sleep.
