Our stay at the Best Western in San Diego was generally pleasant, but a couple of minor issues left room for improvement during our three-night visit as a family of two adults and an 8-year-old. Another aspect that left us wanting more was the breakfast provided. While it's always nice to have breakfast included, the options were limited and not as diverse as we had hoped. A more extensive breakfast spread would have added to the overall value of our stay. On a positive note, the hotel's location and overall comfort met our expectations. It provided a convenient base for exploring San Diego, and the rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our check-in and check-out processes smooth. In conclusion, our stay at the Best Western in San Diego was decent overall, but the weak internet signal and limited breakfast options were areas that could use improvement. Despite these minor setbacks, we still enjoyed our time in San Diego, thanks in part to the hotel's central location and comfortable accommodations.

One of the drawbacks of our stay was the weak internet signal. In an age where connectivity is essential, struggling with a slow and unreliable connection was a bit frustrating. It made it challenging to stay connected with loved ones and plan our daily activities effectively.

Location is fantastic. So close to Old Town and Sea World and also the zoo. Perfect for families. Had a laundry room and pool, although we didn't use either. Breakfast was great value for money and catered to both adults and kids. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Plenty of free street parking. We paid for parking on the property, but in hindsight didn't really need to.

Parking for guests staying at the property should be free!

The management staff was kind and accommodating. The food staff was very friendly and helpful. One staff member was extremely helpful. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name but I shared my compliments with the manager before checking out. It was Comic-Con weekend in downtown SD,, and quite busy. However, we didn't feel the usual stress of overcrowdedness. The location was perfect Very close to Seaworld and the SD Zoo. Overall, our stay was great! We will definitely be back. Thank you BW SD staff for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

I wish parking was free but there was some parking on the street

Staff was super friendly and helpful. I like the nice view of the pool and had a view to the parking lot where we were able to see our car.

It was cool we were super close to the elevator but the downside was that you can hear everyone passing by and all the talking. Also you can hear the people upstairs and their loud footsteps that was going on all night and I felt like I did not sleep at all. Also I think upstairs had a plumbing problem the following day and all the dirty water was coming out from our sink but the staff was super nice about it and fast about it to clear that out.

Overall stay was good. The room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy.There was a mini fridge and microwave which is nice.The facilities are great like the pool.The breakfast was good. They have a lot of varieties of food,like muffins,scrambled eggs,toast,cereal,fruits,juices,waffles,sausage.We enjoyed our breakfast especially the waffles and muffins.One of my favorite part of our stay was their breakfast. Easy parking outside the property. So we dont have to pay the parking fee. The location was great too. Its good value for money.We will definitely come back.

The shower curtain was a not long enough to cover the water. Or its to high. They have to adjust it.But its not really a big deal we made it worked.

Breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable except for the sofa bed( my kids couldn't sleep on it because of springs that were painful to the back).

A big downside is the Laundry room. It was so frustrating that there were only 2 laundry machines and one of them was out of service, so only one machine in the huge hotel. I had to get in the line and stay up late just to finish my laundry. And it's closes at 11 pm.

The breakfast had a variety of options. Everything was warm and tasted good. Rooms were clean, stocked and presented nice. Staff was very sweet. Came quickly when asking for extra blanket. Tv was in a good location. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is secure for entertaining and exiting. Quiet.

The parking at this hotel was a major problem. You pay $25 a night but if you get back late you can't find anything. Parking is very small so bigger suvs and trucks super hard time, Also, the parking is so tight.. you can back out of a spot without doing a 50 point turn (lol) so you don't hit the car behind you. Horrible parking especially if you are handicap and all parking are took.

Breakfast was big. This hotel is a pretty big so they knew they had to get 4-5 waffle machines to serve all the people's needs. Many other breakfast items were included. The swimming pool was a nice size. The kids loved it. The temperature was good. The hot tub was nice. The room was clean and up to standards.

The parking fee. I think when I pay for a hotel, they shouldn't try to squeeze more money out of me by telling me to pay 27 dollars for parking or park across the street. Later, one of the security guys told me I could park in the hotel parking lot anyway, which was actually just confusing. Were they just seeing if they could get away with it and then never mind if I was a cheapskate? Or was he just less lenient about the rules? I didn't know what to think, so we parked across the street. Weird. Free parking should be included.

Overall, it was a great stay. Breakfast was good, eggs sausages waffles toast fruit yogurt muffins juice, etc. We had two queen beds and a sofa bed and it was great for our family of six. The sofa bed mattress wasn't the best, but my 4-year-old didn't mind and my 12-year-old said he had slept on worse. Lol. The queen beds were comfy, water was hot for the shower. The location is great and it's close to Old Town, Balboa Park, SeaWorld, downtown, etc. The room felt clean, house cleaning came in even when we didn't request it and gave us new towels and made the beds. We checked in late Friday evening and there was a long line. The lady checking in waved our parking fee which was very appreciated. It's $23 a night, there is street parking but it seemed to fill up. I would stay here again.

The bathroom had an extremely small vanity. With 6 people in the room it was cramped.
