I stayed here with my 18yr old son and his friend. We were going to the Lytham festival, so this hotel was within a 10-minute drive, so it was conveniently placed. We had a long journey and arrived late. All the staff were super friendly and we were able to have a couple of drinks and a welcoming chat from a staff member although it was late. The room was exceptionally clean & surprisingly large and airy, the beds were comfy, breakfasts super tasty/ generous, with a very efficient buffet system. There's a pool table which we used, entertainment if you fancy it, and games for younger children. My son and friend were impressed with the solitary original fruit machine to have a flutter on. If you accept Blackpool for what it is, and dive in and have some old fashioned fun, like excellent fish & chips, huge golden beaches yummy ice creams/ doughnuts, you can't go far wrong. The general surrounding area desperately needs investment in its upkeep of local buildings and shops but has a friendly welcoming heart. We would definitely stay here again. All the staff were genuinely lovely We travelled up from a hot humid devon without sweatshirts or coats to arrive and find that we had never experienced such strong winds & gales on the seafront! So we just layered up with what we had, but you could buy pack a macs easily if you wanted. A fun relaxing hotel to unwind easily. Thank you for such a lovely stay :) x

Nothing really, apart from maybe some biscuits to have with our tea & coffees in the bedroom.:)

What's not to like. This was absolutely perfect. Staff, location, hotel all perfect. Very friendly and happy greeting when we arrived. Room was available from 3pm. Lift to second floor. Brand new carpets throughout and very clean. Room was a perfect size. Not big, but not small. Just right. Bathroom was great. Full size shower cubicle, sink and loo. Toilet rolls supplied and refilled everyday . Nice clean towels too. The bedroom was perfect. Makeup unit for the wife, nice little stool to sit, mirror and hairdryer supplied. Bed was so comfy. Nice clean bedding and bed made up everyday. Also nice and warm. Breakfast was buffet style. English breakfast was cooked perfectly also a choice of cereal and yoghurts. All your tables are numbered so you know where to sit. And Keith was outstanding. So helpful and funny. We only came back to the hotel one evening early, and we really enjoyed it. Entertainment was top class. Great artists and atmosphere. Also for a hotel like this the drinks are priced reasonably, not overpriced, which is refreshing. All in all. I cannot recommend the Craig Y Don highly enough. One of the best we have stayed in. Will 100% be returning.

I cannot find any reason to fault this hotel. Absolutely nothing and I'm picky as

Lovley Weekend Away Here We Were Pleased Happy & Comfortable x Great Location to All Our Needs xx Will Deffo Stay Here Again in The Future

The Only Thing We Didn't Like was The Way The Person Serving Full English Breakfast From The Bay Marie in a Morning Just Chucked All The Breakfast On The Plate ... Like All Breakfast Piled On Top of Each Other.. instead of it Being Presented Nicely On The Plate .. Each Time We Got The Plate it Looked Awful .. When Serving Food Presentation is Key .. It Tasted Fine .. Other Than That it Was Great 👍

Perfect location and we had a sea view which wasn’t just the sea but the lights, pretty lit up trams and horse and carriages. Right opposite the tram stops as well. Very clean throughout and the dining area downstairs bright and spacious. Friendly smiley staff. Room was very comfortable, nice hot shower and large wardrobe with chest of drawers for keeping clothes tidied away. Large lighted wall mirror with sockets close, all handy for doing your hair etc.

Although the hot breakfast buffet was beautifully set out and served good and hot, for me the bacon and sausage lacked that certain tastiness that I enjoy in a full English breakfast. However it set us up well for the day and is only a minor disappointment to an otherwise brilliant stay.

A good hotel great location nite time entertainment good. A decent breakfast but not very nice coffee taste cheap even the orange juice not very nice but can't complain really. All staff nice make you feel welcome.

A bit of a pain getting up the steps in to the hotel especially for people with mobility issues. One thing that got on our nerves was people reserving seats leaving there coats on em why they went for tea or up to their rooms reminded me very much of being abroad with sunbeds I do think there should be a sighn up telling people not to do that. We was in room 63 a nice room but mattress wasn't very comfortable it sank rite in and where not big people plus TV didn't have much signal so the main channels seemed to be missing one ov the staff came up try and sort it but cudnt he did say all tvs are getting replaced with smart tvs

The rooms were spacious and cleaned every day. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was spotless. The bathroom and shower were very clean. The TV and remote worked well and the TV was in a good position. It was quiet at night and the breakfast was good in the morning. The entertainment at night was also quite good and the bar prices were reasonable. There was people of all ages in the hotel and anyone I spoke to seemed pleased with their stay there. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location between the tower and the Pleasure beach. This is my third time there and I've not been disappointed yet.

Access to property is a bit difficult for older or disabled people due to stairs., but once inside the hotel both lifts worked well although there are four or five steps after you come off the lifts to get to room level, but it's certainly not unmanageable for most people.

The property was lovely and clean, we had room 41, it had a bath and shower, it was a spacious bedroom. It was one of the highest rooms so the lift went to the 2 nd floor then a couple of stairs to take but this didn’t bother us. Bedding was clean, room had tea and coffee facilities. Plenty of. Very warm room (we did go on one of the hottest days though). Room came with breakfast. we enjoyed it! Very organised and again spacious so not sat on top of people! Can’t comment on entertainment as we didn’t watch it.

No real issues. Parking was a blah but it is Blackpool and the hotel is right on the sea front in the centre so it’s going to be! That’s no fault to the hotel

Great entertainment and bar open in the day/ night time, breakfast was very good value as was included in our room price but it was plenty to choose from and the staff were friendly. I took my mum away for the weekend and it’s the best place I’ve stayed in Blackpool so far and we normally come each year.

The only let down was the front entrance the doors are a bit heavy as the eh are fire doors so that’s understandable and the steps are a pain with getting luggage up them. Maybe possibly put a ramp in place? As we helped a couple being the prams up the steps to get into hotel I think you would have more custom then. As we noticed a few people struggling up the stairs elderly and what not.

Had a very nice sea view room, which was basic but comfortable and clean. The food at breakfast and dinner was very good. All the staff at the hotel were very pleasant and professional. The location of the hotel was good with excellent views of the sea.

We found the steps to the entrance of the hotel very awkward when trying to carry luggage into the hotel. Also when taking a drink from the bar to the patio was quite a challenge. We noticed other people struggling with the steps as well. After climbing the steps you had to negotiate 2 doors which were very heavy with strong springs.

All the staff are exceptional, very professional, very polite and very accommodating. I couldn't fault a single person. The rooms and all public areas were meticulously clean. We slept like babies. The bed was so comfortable. The room decoration felt fresh and clean, it was perfect.

Only one little niggle would have been how warm our room was but it was completely unavoidable as we were on the top floor and had a flat roof and it had been very sunny throughout the day and trapped the heat, a rarity in the UK. Also we tend to use a lot of ice when we are away for multiple reasons so if I could make one wish for the hotel it would be a guest ice machine but then I wish everywhere did lol.
