Very clean and comfortable. Located in a beautiful spot very close to the gorgeous Panoramaweg along the Lötschental.

You do need to know what to expect. It is a 15-minute drive up the mountain from the nearest town (Wiler). There are no other evening restaurants, bars, shops or facilities, so if you arrive after 7 pm, you need to drive back down again to eat (the nearby gondola is closed in the evening). Importantly, access to the hotel is 200 metres up a rough track; any low-slung car would have grounded on the track immediately but fortunately we were driving my wife’s car and there is usually parking space at the top. Don’t arrive in the dark; satnav won’t show you the right way. The host speaks only German (and Swiss-German). No lift. Having said all that, it’s a lovely setting.

The hotel is in a fantastic location on the side of a mountain in the beautiful Loetschental, with stunning views in all directions. It is a short (but steep) walk from the cable car station, with plenty of hiking and biking possibilities in summer and direct access to the slopes in winter. We were very well looked after by the staff from start to finish. Our room was comfortable, quiet and cosy, and the food in the restaurant was very good. A great place to stay to enjoy Alpine scenery at its finest!

We had an amazing stay here. The team and Manager were so friendly and welcoming. We even had trouble getting our car down the mountain after a storm and the Manager drove it himself and ensured all our luggage got to the cable car, amazing service. The views are out of this world, and the dinner and breakfast was great. We'd love to come back again, one of our favourite ever stays.

The staff were very nice and the view was incredible, as you might expect. I really enjoyed eating breakfast on the terrace. Finally, my boyfriend and I found the bed really comfortable and wished we could have stayed longer.

The only thing 'wrong' was we wished checkout was later. I didn't realize it was at 10, but this is not really a complaint!

Most incredible location, views form the terrace and restaurant were simply incredible. Very clean room, quiet and pleasant. Breakfast was good, although I’d prefer some veggies also, however everything was tasty and fresh. Helpful staff, very accommodating.

Dinner served early, so no options for food if you miss it. Getting to the property after dusk is very challenging , GPS shows the wrong location and in the dark it was almost impossible to find .. arrive during daytime!

The road to get to the hotel was a little bit rough and hard to find. Would be better if that was described in the hotel description (or at least a photo of a map showing exactly which roads to take. Also to mention that the sign at the bottom of the mountain says only authorised vehicles, but it’s ok because they give a pass (at the top on arrival at the hotel).

We simply loved this hotel for its location and the management. The reception was warm and always helpful and very well run. The room was large with lovely views. We are keen hikers and the short walk from the cable car was no problem for us. Indeed we would love to stay at this hotel again.

The location was absolutely breathtaking. The views of the Alps are stunning and so is the Hotel . Our stay at Alpine zur Wildi was one of the best . The Staff are very friendly and definitely worth the stay.

Great hotel to be with family, couple or friends with fantastic menu for dinner. Breakfast is also very complete. Amazing environment, if you like hiking or trekking, there is better place to be. Owners are very kind and although they do not speak other language than German, they do their best to communicate. It was not a problem at all! We will come back for sure.
