The hotel is in an excellent location in the lower town with easy acces to public transportion. Most things are in walking distance. It's very quiet and the beds were great, so perfect for a good night's rest. The staff went out of their way when I informed them one day before we arrived that I would unexpectedly be travelling in a wheelchair. They called me from immediatly to tell me how they would assist me. As our room was on the first floor they gave us the key to a small elevator. They were so kinds and helpful and made our stay in Bergamo very pleasant after all. Great service!

- The mini refrigerator in the room was missing and the drinks were just placed in the closest, warm,... couldn't drink those. - We had to eat in the small area upstairs and the breakfast was very simple and didn't have as many options as downstairs, as we noticed, as friends of ours had to eat there. That was a pity.

Our "suite" was great, plenty of room. Great location, easy walking distance to transport and attractions. Breakfast was nice, continental style. Parking is not on site but very close by.

Limited reception hours (after 15:30) meant we couldn't leave our luggage as there would be no one there when we needed to collect it at 14:00. Didn't figure this out until the morning of departure, even though the staff member who had checked us in knew we were leaving at that time and had said we could leave it. It was also a problem that we needed to return the parking remote control but, again, there was no one available to give this to.

Great localization on a charming but quiet street (no cars) within center of the city. Staff was very friendly especially lady at the reception. Room was big and well maintained with all necessary equipment (room 11).

Breakfast was small and chaotic. Often there was no simple things like butter. Toaster was small and slow becoming the "bottleneck" in the whole breakfast preparation process. There should also be more ingredients, veggies and fruits. Breakfast service was purely focused on doing coffee instead of making sure there are things to eat.

A wonderful hotel in the city center, close to the train station. Excellent staff who are happy to help. The breakfast is wonderful and varied, not only sweets :) The staff allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out, for which I thank them very much.The room was clean and cozy. There was a kettle and tea.

The only thing in our room were small windows and they could not be opened, so the room was not too bright, but this was not a problem for us. Only English is spoken at the reception, the rest of the staff uses a translater, so we had no problems with this. It would be nice if breakfast was a little earlier, because you want to travel further and not waste time. It's just like a warm wish. Unfortunately, it was not indicated on the booking that an additional fee (city tax) may be charged.

Perfect location, beautiful, high quality finishes, lovely and helpful staff, absolutely stunning, clean room which accommodated our family of 4 comfortably. We had a relaxing stay and wished we could have stayed for longer. Hotel is in perfect location - in the heart of the lower city, 10 minute walk to funicular to Citta Alta and 30 minutes bus ride from Bergamo Airport, so a perfect stopover. If in transit don’t miss out on exploring Bergamo - city is well worth staying longer than 1 night - we wished we did! The hotel is absolutely perfect. We enjoyed Italian breakfast in the morning, felt welcome and well looked after by lovely staff and slept well.

Nothing to dislike.

Perfect base for a 2 night getaway to Bergamo! Self check in when we arrived around midnight was very straightforward thanks to information provided by Arianna before our arrival. The bed was exceptionally comfy, and the room overall was a great size with more than adequate facilities. Breakfast was also fantastic - as we are vegan we messaged ahead to see if something suitable would be available for us for breakfast, and both mornings we were provided with a lovely vegan tart, fruit and coffee. It wasn't much, but was greatly appreciated as we would have understood if it wasn't possible to accommodate our request.

The only thing which could have been improved was the main shower head didn't appear to work - this was OK as we were only having a short stay, so managed with the hand-held part, though I'm sure this would have been rectified if we had mentioned this to the staff.

The location was approximately 10 minutes from central rail station and about 20 minutes walk from the upper city “citta Alta” which suited us well. The breakfast offer consisted of many sweet cakes which is typical for the area. But there were also eggs, bread, butter, jam, cheese and natural yoghurt. We would like a better selection of the food but it was more than enough. The staff was very friendly and nice. And the rooms were clean. It’s a nice hotel and it’s a reasonably priced.

Our room was a self contained flat, was in the old part of the Castellana Loft Hotel and it had its own kitchenette and bathroom all newly refurbished , the best part of it was our rooms beautiful and very old original painted ceiling and the beautiful chandeliers in the hallway before we entered our room, very stylish, sleeping watching the ceiling and waking up to it was a fantastic experience. The breakfast was the best we have ever experienced in an Italian hotel, as usually it’s mostly pastries in other hotels and I am not a fan of too much pastry, here we had freshly made scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, home made quiches and home made delicious pastry, small selection but good quality, It was superb, another nice surprise.

When we got there we found the floor and the bed side cabinets dusty, but this was sorted immediately and the kind gentleman at the reception cleaned it all and changed our bedsheets whilst we went out for our meal, The breakfast Buffet was laid in the main part of the hotel and we had to go down and choose what we wanted and a kind lady was carrying them up to our communal breakfast area, they said hotel was full and and there was no room for us to have breakfast there, nevertheless it was delicious and the kind lady serving it had no hesitation in bringing more coffee’s and food if we wanted.

Reception staff very attentive and helpful. The room was a little dark and I felt claustrophobic in it. However, the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size with a good, strong rain shower. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection but was, at times, chaotic due to bad layout and not enough staff. Maria who served us, however, kept her cool and looked after us as vest she could, always with a lovely smile and pleasant, cheerful manner. The location was very central in the lower town of Bergamo with parking offered at 10 Euros per night.

It would have been nice to have an outside seating area in the courtyard. The breakfast seating area was rather cramped and chaotic.

The hotel was clean and we had a very big room. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was a very basic Italian style.

Check-in time was quite late (started at 3:30 p.m.), it would have been good if there had been someone in the reception in the mornings that you could have asked advice and tips for the day. The location was a bit too far from the main street and Citta alta, although it was easy to take a bus there, or walk to the train station.
