Location was nice, next to the museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft which has a cafe. We had a great view from our room. Staff were very nice and helpful, particularly when we received a severe weather warning and needed some advice. Wi fi was good, breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate.
Nothing really but keep in mind that the GPS/google maps location for the guesthouse was a bit confusing and not correct. You will find the guesthouse next to the museum.

Charming guesthouse in the centre of Hólmavik (which is a very small place!) Opposite the restaurant (Riis) which was excellent. Adjacent to the harbour (Whale tours with Lakitours). Very small and friendly (about 8 rooms) with a nice breakfast. Cafe area and a sun terrace on the 1st floor overlooking the bay (saw Whales in the bay from here). One of our two rooms was with shared bathroom (with 3 other rooms) but this was fine - very clean. The other with ensuite. Parking directly behind the hotel.
Room was VERY small, barely room for a single suitcase with the two beds but this was not a major issue and more than made up for by the very friendly staff.

Everything was spotless and updated. Met the owner and he was very nice to talk to so I learned a lot more about Iceland and got all my pesky questions answered. They were very thoughtful about everything at the guesthouse, and very accommodating allowing us to store some food in their fridge. The room itself was a bit tight in space but seems on par with most guesthouses here. Would recommend.

Excellent location in old part of town looking over the harbour. Staff were exceptionally friendly and recommended a nice walk round the local hillside which proved excellent for bird watching. Breakfast was adequate. Didn't try the Bistro service as we arrived late and left early. There is a good cafe / bar / restaurant just across the road in the oldest building in town.
Breakfast tables were a bit close together making it difficult to navigate back and forward without disturbing other guests

The guesthouse was pleasant and met our expectations. The staff were also very friendly. We had the book two single rooms so the price ended up being a little higher than we would have liked but it was the only option as no family rooms were available and it was busy high season. Beds were clean and comfortable. There was a nice breakfast served (cereals and toast), which the kids really enjoyed.
I have nothing negative to comment on and would recommend this place.

Great location right by the harbour. We received a very friendly welcome and were happy to talk to the owner and his father about Iceland. Perfect starting point for whale watching or excursions along the coast. The Fiskur Pot was excellent.
The room was a wee bit small, but for 1-2 nights that's fine

We had 2 rooms, both very clean. They aren’t large rooms but we had space for our bags. I could barely hear the room next to me and the windows were solid (we’ve stayed in places with so much wind the windows rattle but not at this place). The location by the water was so beautiful and it’s a cute little town. The owner went above and beyond for us - when we arrived I asked if any restaurants were open and he called the only one possibly open. He let me know it was closed and that it was 15 minutes before the grocery store closed too so we should go there first before finishing check-in. Then when we came back with the food he gave us plates, silverware, water, etc so we could sit down and eat in the breakfast area. Then he cleaned up after us. We felt really welcomed there!
Nothing!

In the centre of town on the waterfront and restaurant. Very clean, simply but nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable and effective blackout blinds appreciated. European breakfast was great.
Some rooms very small. Ours was big enough. Steep stairs to breakfast and reception might be a problem for some.

Nice little place. The room was small but hey, all we wanted was a bed for the night and that is what we got. Great location overlooking the fjord. Very friendly staff.
For someone with diet restrictions (gluten) the breakfast options were limited. Boiled eggs and yoghurt. I added nuts and dried fruit that I had brought with me to make sure it was filling enough.

We stayed for one night only and we did enjoy it very much. Location is perfect because it is very close to main road and on the way if you are traveling to Ísafjörður. Place is very comfortable and cozy, has a great viewing balcony were you can sit and collect your thoughts about your plans ahead or just enjoy your breakfast with an ocean view. We met a wonderful stuff and they make your stay very welcoming by being very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is good, just like eating at home. Beds are comfortable and whole place is very clean.
