This little hotel was absolutely perfect for my getaway, booked 2 nights in febuary as I was coming to see groundhog day the musical. Being short on money I picked this place because the value was excellent and I found myself pleasantly shocked with the room for what I paid. Working in hotels myself I'm never sure what I'm going to get when I go somewhere to stay, there's some shockers out there! However this little room was actually very spacious, had everything I could need with its own bathroom and amenities, I wouldn't call it luxury but if you're someone who doesn't put too much on that I'd definitely pick this place! The rooms are very sizeable for what you pay and comfortable, I enjoyed the privacy of being tucked away in a side street whilst Also enjoying the convenience and closeness to the city, being unfamiliar with the city this was very good for me No complaints really! Better than expected
It is a bit of an older place so if you are after a modern room I'd pay a bit more, but really for what you are paying this place is probably your best value, everything was so easy and convenient, easy to find My bathroom fan was making a noise all night but I mean, what can ya do, I still loved the place Great job!

This hotel represents excellent value for money considering the location and the facilities available. It's definitely not particularly fancy, but it's clean, comfortable, quiet, and in an excellent location in the city with easy access to Southern Cross Station and various tram routes. We needed to stay in town for a convention for a week and wanted somewhere that would be comfortable and quiet but where we didn't have to pay a fortune because we would only be sleeping in the room and not spending any time there. Would definitely stay again when looking for something on the less expensive end in the CBD.
The bottom sheet on the bed was not fitted and was probably a bit small for the bed so kept coming untucked, meaning I'd wake up sleeping on just the mattress sometimes. Shower was excellent pressure but did got a little bit hot and cold if showering at peak times (8am ish).

Great location it’s only a 4 minute walk from Southern cross station. The room was really clean.
It’s not the property’s fault but there is construction going on next door which made loud sounds at 7:00am in the morning. It was just a little annoying.

The location is excellent with trams and trains a short walk away. There are many great places for breakfast and lunch also a short walk from the hotel. My room was very quiet and the bed comfortable. The hotel messaged me while I was overseas to say the lifts weren't working due to an industrial dispute. They offered free cancellation or if I wanted to stay they would carry my luggage to my room. I opted to stay and the staff did carry my luggage and gave me a lower room with not too many steps. The dispute was settled quite quickly and the staff were so friendly and helpful during a difficult time for them.
I was happy with everything especially the smiling young staff. When you're 72 everyone is young!

The price to value ratio was off the charts. The price was so good I gave myself an 'upgrade' to a large king room and I'm a budget traveler! As a single lady arriving in Melb after 10.30pm I liked the central location, lifts and 24 hr reception with nice female receptionist. My room was huge, everything incl linens, towels etc was clean. Secure swipe card entry to room. I was on the ninth floor (ten floors overall) and enjoyed my view. Look, it's a bit older style but the price was superb for a clean, safe, solid offering.
Just minor, but please ensure milk pods are available in rooms. I'd packed my own cereal and long life milk for a quick breakfast, so I had plenty of milk so it actually didn't affect me. I just wish they wouldn't take the $100 security deposit out too.

**Review for YEHS Melbourne Hotel** I recently stayed at the YEHS Melbourne Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location of the hotel is absolutely fabulous—it's conveniently situated near all the major tourist attractions, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Whether you want to visit the vibrant shopping areas, dine at popular restaurants, or discover Melbourne's cultural spots, everything is just a short walk away. The staff at YEHS Melbourne Hotel were incredibly helpful, friendly, and decent. They went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the helpful recommendations on local sights, the service was top-notch. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back again. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Melbourne!
All was good!

I chose to stay at this hotel because of its location close to Southern Cross Station and its proximity to docklands where three of my four meetings over three days were held. All of these were within Melbournes's Free tram zone which was a considerable advantage. The entrance and interior of the building reflect its purpose, to provide a comfortable room at a reasonable cost, The room was excellent and very well equipped with wifi, phone, tv and a refrigerator etc and while they do not have a restaurant there must be 30 places to eat close by. The room and bathroom was excellently maintained and very clean, the linen was of a high quality and had a place to work a round table, and two comfortable chairs to sit in. The bed and beddinge were also first rate. Altogether an excellent experience at an affordable place. My thanks to all of the staff who were friendly and helpful and my compliments to the management who provide a facility well above average experience at a well below average price. CGB

Location was excellent! Just a 5 minute walk from where the airport express bus would drop you off! It's on the same stretch as Chinatown, so always a good option for food and other sights. I had a free upgrade to deluxe queen by reserving through Booking.com and it was such a lovely room. It's perfect for a solo traveler coming from a hectic itinerary, because it came with a bath tub which was a nice way to end the day. I would choose this again especially if they are offering free room upgrades!
Nothing much I didn't like, just some points to be improved. I noticed some amenities were a bit dated, like elevator buttons, some furnitures, and cabinets. Some of the bed table lights weren't working/flickering, and I noticed also that there were clacking sound from the vents? Which in the beginning kind of alarmed me but didn't bother me much eventually. Bathroom tiles could be a bit cleaner, but not it doesn't make the bathroom gross enough not to be used.

It’s very close to Southern Cross station. Very good location. Near my favourite restaurant Salero Kito and SSAM Bbq. Good value of money.
I came 12pm to put my baggage only and did early check in, I planned to come back again after 2pm. The room wasn’t ready at 4pm. They gave us other room to rest, because I had an appointment at 5.30pm, I need to showered and go. They told me at the reception that the room is ready and I told them to contact my partner in the room because I have no time to go back to 8th floor and moved everything. When I came back I realised I forgot my face wash in the first room, I talked to reception, he said nothing left. And he said will follow up with cleaner in the morning. But nothing, I thought it my mistake I left it somewhere, but no. It was left on the first room we rest before. Just shame, it still very new and it took ages to order online. :(

The location was good and the room was clean and a reasonable size. Check in experience was excellent. Despite arriving about 3 hours before official check in time, because the room was ready, we were given access to it and so were able to leave our bags in the room. Check out experience was super quick.
I booked a double/twin room thinking that I would be given a chance to pick which at a later date. Maybe it was my fault for not paying attention, but I didn't notice that I was given the chance to pick whether it was the double or the twin that I wanted. When I got to the room I found that I had been given a double, which is the opposite configuration to what I would have asked for. :(
