The reception staff Lilianna is very friendly, fun and informative. She marked all the interesting places on a hardcopy map for us, which is very handy. Her recommendation of the lunch place at Machado de Castro National Museum is great. The view is wonderful and the 5 tapas is of great value. She also helped us reserve a table at Santa Cruz Cafe for the Fado performance at the evening. We enjoyed it very much. Nowadays it's quite rare to have warm human touch at accommodation so we really appreciated Lilianna's enthusiasm. The place is less than 5 minutes walk from Coimbra Train Station (with connection to Coimbra B train station). While it's an easy walk to all the attractions in the old town, it's also quiet at night. The shared kitchen on the 2nd floor is adequate.

The double room is quite small, but it's all good for one night. The wifi is a bit weak, we need to open the door of the room to get better reception.

Nice little place on a pedestrianised road near the train station. The rooms were clean and functional, and pleasantly decorated. Staff are friendly and helpful. We were kindly allocated the room that we requested, and it was quiet. Breakfast room is ok and well-supplied with utensils, if you don't mind a communal experience.

The room was indeed very small, so it would be helpful to have a few more hangars (there were only 3), some hooks or rails for hanging towels, maybe a shelf for storage, and a place in bathroom for toiletries...there really was not enough storage in such a small room. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs to top floors, if that matters to you.

The host was amazing....super friendly, helpful proactive. fresh towels in the morning, unprompted advice on where to visit/eat, etc. really, really great stay. fantastic location, right in the heart of the Baixa but not noisy at all.

This is a great stay for 1 or 2 nights, but longer than that, the room (our room at least) might feel a little cramped. We were in the two room with a bath and there is only one window so I could see people with claustrophobia issues struggling. That said, I/we would completely stay here again. As others have noted, this is a walk-up building, so I would not recommend this for people with accessibility issues.

In the city centre and very close to Coimbra Station, even closer, if you walk down the side entrance on platform 2. Having two kitchens, the larger one had all the facilities that you would need. Kitchens were always clean and extras such as oil, spices, teas, and coffee provided. Saved money on eating out. A mini preco next to the station and a Continente short walk away. Rooms clean and comfortable. Laliana, the host, made me feel like I came to stay with a friend. It is a modernised traditional house, not a purpose built hotel, so expect steep staircases and leaning floors. There are no ground floor rooms, so I requested a lower floor, and Laliana helped me up the stairs with my suitcase.

Bathroom sink only big enough to brush teeth. Disturbed by noisy guests in the early hours.

It is a small and cute hotel with comfortable facilities. It is close to the station and the main attractions in Coimbra. Liliana provides outstanding customer service and made me feel welcome right from the start and throughout my stay. She recommended sights and restaurants. The room was small, very clean and comfortable with everything one needs. The ensuite bathroom was fine. I was on the 1st floor and had the use of a kitchenette next to my room. There is also a well equipped shared kitchen on the 2nd floor with complimentary coffee and tea. Highly recommended.

The smart check in process was excellent and we loved being able to make a coffee in the morning. The decor was fantastic. My daughter loved looking at the old fashioned typewriter and other vintage items. The accomodation had a very fresh and stylised feel. The location into town was perfect.

The only thing I would say that could improve the stay would be to put up some mirrors. Perhaps a mirror hung on the inside on the cupboard. This is so that someone can dry and style their hair whilst the other person is using the bathroom.

Lilianna the Host is so welcoming, helpful & kind... ! I felt so comfortable after a long trip. My room was quiet, clean & comfortable. There is a full kitchen on the 2nd floor available to guests to cook, enjoy a coffee & tea, etc. The entire place is extremely clean & yes... charming. Excellent location in the heart of the city where most attractions are walkable. Many good restaurants close by. Great value for money.

Can't think of anything.

We enjoyed meeting the very friendly Liliana who recommended best places to see and eat. Big comfortable bed, crispy linen, and lovely clean room and bathroom, good shower. Good kitchen on 2nd floor. Excellent location- walked from train/bus stations to accomodation, and all around the old town and University from our room. So central. Access with codes was good, communication from owners re codes in advance was excellent.

Our room on 3rd floor had a sloping roof and we had to be very careful not to hit our heads...this was OK once you got used to it, so we would still stay again, but not everyone would like this. Wifi dropped out occasionally, but cam e back on, so was OK. Overall, these are 2 minor issues, so we would still stay again as it's overall good value and quiet clean, friendly staff and location excellent.

The ease of access to the building by code rather than keys. Close to the city centre and key areas to see. The kitchen was well supplied with cutlery and other utensils. Very kind hostess. She offered to iron some clothes. The aircon is very effective.

I was in the top floor and the staircase is very steep. No lift. But the advantage was having a skylight window. The host also assisted with carrying my bag up the stairs. The lighting in the room could be improved. The central light was too bright and there could have some spot lights close to the desk area. There was no small waste bin in the main room - only in the toilet.

Liliana was very helpful with suggestions on places to go, food, fado etc. Feels like she genuinely wants guests to have a good time. Because I had limited time, she even helped me plan my final half day to make the most out of my trip! Property is in a central location but not on a party street. Room is basic but clean and comfortable. Good value for money overall.

Room is small with very little space to walk around the bed.
