The room had lots of natural light, the exercise room was good, the bed was excellent, the linens and towels were excellent, the house was remarkably clean, the location was surprisingly good, with plenty of good restaurant choices within an interesting walk.

The room after dark was poorly lit, especially since one of the bedside lamps didn't work. There was no working internet connection at any time during our stay - we had to use our phone's hotspot to access the internet. Communication with the host was poor: we showed up at the check in time per the booking listing, but the gate was locked. We tried calling multiple times but were redirected to voice mail. Finally, a call was answered live and the host said I just sent you an email saying that the check in time is 4:30 didnt you get it? No, we didn't get any emails or booking notifications. Could have been Booking's fault but in any case we were out curbside waiting on the sidewalk.

Unique. Artsy decor. Soft nice bed and pillows. Pretty home.

Very dark and hard to see. Hard to know how or if to turn lights on in hall main room or stairway. Just really dim lighting. Smells strongly of room fresheners. A lot. Plugs and cord areas for phone charging was lacking. Side bed tables would have been super helpful. Neat room but so much stuff in it jot room for suitcases bags opened and no good place to put them. Honestly needs a good cleaning and dusting in edges corners etc.

Rhonda and her doggo were fantastic! So friendly and kind. The room was quirky and awesome for this Disney lover, and we really enjoyed it! We had just about everything we needed (outside of the outlet issue mentioned), and had a fun time. We would stay again for sure!! Would love to try the other room too!

Our only very minor issue was there not being many electrical outlets, which of course is a symptom of an older house. We just weren't prepared for that. We were getting ready for a wedding, so that's the only reason this was a small bump in the road.

Rhonda was very responsive and answered my questions via email immediately before I arrived. She and Taz both greeted me with a warm welcome. (Taz literally bounded up the stairs, waggiageng his tail, to greet me!) Rhonda spent a lot of time explaining the history of the vintage house. It is clear she is passionate about offering her guests a very special, comfortable and memorable experience. She even showed me the "Wonderland Room," featuring many homages to Alice in Wonderland. When I opened the door to my room I was delightfully dazzled by the artistic "vintage" decor, featuring so many unlikely details, including a vintage type writer on a writing desk, a mouse on the headboard, holding a reading lightbulb, lots classic books, vintage photographs artfully covering the floor and a chalkboard on which guests could leave messages. There is a modern TV mounted to the wall, a Keurig coffee maker with an assortment of coffees and welcome chocolates, along with toiletry items and even an eye mask and ear plugs. The room was remarkably quiet at night. (There is a bit of morning street traffic noise, but I imagine if one wore both ear plugs one would not be bothered. I had to keep one ear unplugged, so I could hear my alarm.) The bathroom was pristine and I loved the tiled floor and walls and beautiful faucets. And the bath water was very hot! There is even an exercise room with an exercise bike, dumbbells, microwave oven, ice maker. Location is very convenient and if I had had more time, I would have walked to downtown, Sutter's Fort, etc. Thank you for a lovely experience, Rhonda and Taz. I hope to stay with you again!

Just a bit of early morning street noise. But this would be expected as there is a major corridor nearby. The earplugs provided by Rhonda should be sufficient to block out the noise if one would wear them both! (I had to keep one ear unplugged in order to hear my alarm.

What a beautiful place! Rhonda was a perfect host; the French room had beautiful vintage photographs on the floor and a writing desk. A coffee maker, a sleeping mask, and chocolate were waiting for me. The bed was so comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The neighborhood is incredibly charming. I am hoping to come back in the future!

I really can't think of anything. I wish the Alice in Wonderland suite was available, but there's something to look forward to to booking in the future!

Host was helpful and friendly. Offered advice and good ideas. Comfortable room and such great decor! I loved the Alice theme. This is a unique find in a cool neighborhood.

I don’t love the bathroom in the hall, but it was just me there so I had it to myself. Room can get a little dark even in the daytime, and not much of a view. But I really can’t complain. The place was fun.

Rhonda was extremely accommodating by understanding that we needed to be at a family function by 4. She took us to our room and shared with us interesting information about the home and the decor. We had the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party room. Soo fun! It was a shared bath but it wasn't a problem at all. The towels were luxurious and plentiful. The area was quiet at night.

Once I viewed the pictures of the interior of the Harbinson House, I just knew I had to stay there. It had everything from toiletries to, rare vintage decor throughout the whole house, you definitely feel like you’re in a different world and almost in a different time period, last but not least the friendly, happy pitbull was a pleasant surprise! very expensive, although if you think that you’re going to want to spend another night you should book it ahead of time depending on the season because it can get busy very quickly. The stay is more enjoyable and gives you a sense of privacy since, there are a limited amount of rooms,. You also are very safe ,as there are various locks in the rooms, also to get in you need to enter two codes so it adds to the relaxing overall timeless vibe of the Harbinson House. They also have an art room, meditation room, living room, and dinning room!!!

The house was build in 1912 so the stairs can be a bit creaky, but overall a great retro vibe! There is one shared bathroom ,but they thoughtfully supply you with everything you need. Towels, seat covers, cotton balls, tooth brushes, soap, lotion, and hand sanitizer. The bathroom has double sinks and a laundry basket for used towels as well👍🏽

This is an extrodinary place. This is a house full of character, story and spirit. Anything and everything that one might need is available in both the room and the bathroom. Hostness is the cherry on top of the cake: a friendly, generous, colorful, and lively soul. Thank you!

I really cant think of anything. This is the best stay we have had in California so far.

This was absolutely the best hotel experience my husband and I have ever had! The Harbinson house was so uniquely decorated with all sorts of antiques and collectibles it made the ambience very inviting! Squeaky clean and smelled so fresh! We slept like babies in the cozy Victorian bed, relaxed in a bubble bath and snuggled in for a night of Netflix films. Rhonda was so gracious, thoughtful and sweet! She made the experience more then enjoyable! We can’t wait to tell all our friends and family to book here! Ten stars for Rhonda!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We will only stay at The Harbinson house when visiting Sacramento. Thank you for all the treats! The hand soap smells amazing! We loved the bottle opener trinket and are enjoying the lotion and hand sanitizer! Thanks for everything Rhonda! Love, Molly and Jesse Stewart♥️

That we couldn’t stay longer!
