This place is the cheapest option to stay anywhere in the Wallis area and at this, it is really very good value. The breakfast is decent but not lavish. The rooms are spanking clean and the bed is good. The shower has full water pressure and delivers very hot water. Everything is perfectly in order.

If the owner wouldn’t have scolded me at the very last day for sitting at the “wrong place” - which was the same place I had been sitting all along - she would have even passed the friendliness test. But given that she hasn’t said any other word to me other than this last minute complaint, I cannot rate this hotel high for friendliness.

The young man on the check-in desk was welcoming and extremely kind and helpful. We arrived by motorbike and were extremely wet and cold. He was very concerned and made us a hot drink and lit the fire for us in the lounge so that we could warm up and dry out our clothes. We had the evening meal which was delicious. The hotel has a lot of character and was very clean and comfortable. The views were superb. The breakfast was nice and is a typical continental style. There are 4 floors, so you need to be fit if your room is at the top. There was plenty of parking outside. There is a bus stop and train station 10 minutes walk away and both services ran frequently throughout the day.

For me was a little bit cold, but I was the only guest at that time and I am not used with the low temperatures.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was nice with a beautiful view and very quiet and we received a friendly welcome. The breakfast wasn’t lavish but it had what we liked including good coffee, fresh croissants and cereal.

The entire property is dated and has definitely seen better days.

This is a family-run hotel, the family are very friendly and hard-working, this is not a modern building and has character. Great for a bed for the night and motorbike friendly. Great views nice beer ideal for riding the passes.

Limited choice of food in the evenings, the breakfast buffet is basic plus the lift does not work, 56 steps to the 4th floor

I've stayed here before 2 years ago and I instantly liked the place. This year we were in the area again so a made a point of staying here again. The location for us was great, near the Swiss passes but far enough away be be quiet. The staff are helpful and very friendly. The rooms are a good size, the beer is good and the food was excellent.

The location was stunning; the hotel is located at the top of a small hill on the edge of a town and gives excellent views! The beds were comfortable and the room clean and tidy. The staff were really accommodating as well; we thought we would miss the check-in time however they accommodated for us. The breakfast was also really good!

The towels were a bit thin and there was only hand soap provided.

I was very excited to stay here for a night. It’s such a quiet and peaceful place. The facilities, the staff, the views from the windows—everything made me feel at home. I liked it so much! I will definitely visit again in the future. Thank you!

location is awesome, quiet is great, price is low, breakfast is plenty.

i notify the elevator is out of order, luckily i didn't need it. the walls are thin, as a wooden structure hotel it's normal, but i got woke up at 6:30 by the neighbour leaving early. the duvet was a bit small for me (i'm 1,84cm) but that's not a big deal.

Good price to quality ratio (particularly in this region in high season). The place was clean, the view from a balcony was amazing. The room standard was as in the hotel's description, maybe even a bit better than in the pictures. Perfect location for cross-country skiing and winter hikes.
