The welcome was perfect, Jonathan even moved his car so we could park it on his drive as it was full of our son's University stuff. The road is a dead end so no through traffic and safe, but he understood our concerns nevertheless without fuss. The road is very quiet and peaceful, and the views are spectacular. The sea view room was large and comfortable and the bathroom down the stairs was large and opulent. Jonathan was very accommodating, offering to cook our breakfast later than usual so we could do the local Crosby Parkrun, which was very gracious of him. The house is large and very grand. The service very friendly and warm. What's not to like?

We were met by the friendly owner upon arrival and shown our accommodation in detail. The building has been maintained to a very high standard, and our room was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, nice bath robes, thick towels, and toiletries were all provided. We had a very comfortable stay and a good night's sleep. The full English breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be revisiting when in the area and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a high standard of accommodation.

Aberley house is really interesting place in a beautiful historical location near Cross beach. The house right next used to be owned by the owner of White star line and nearby house the captain of the Titanic. This place breathes history and we felt a real English atmosphere here. Jonathan is a wonderful and caring host. He prepared us a delicious breakfast and explained everything to us patiently. In the evening we had the opportunity to play darts and snooker and Jonathan showed us his collection of vinyls. The house is large and historic so there was a little cooler but that was no problem as the room is equipped with one more portable heater. (And I’m cold everytime and everywhere :)). Thank you for a lovely stay and if we ever return to Liverpool Aberley house will be our definite choice.

Jonathan the host was great. Very helpful and informative. This is a little gem of a place. Beautiful building. Games room in the basement with a full size snooker table, darts, sky TV and even vinyl records which you can play on the Hi Fi system. The breakfast was superb. Quality ingredients. We opted to pay an extra £5 each to get an upgraded full breakfast, but the breakfast included in the price was still a great option to have. I would highly recommend this place!

The private bathroom was on the next floor up which was unavoidable but still a bit of an inconvenience.

A lot of stairs, and our bathroom was on a different floor to the room (which wasn't mentioned when booking). Bathroom fan needed a good clean. Covered with a lot of dust. Tv in room in wrong position. Quilts on bed too small really, should have 3/4 quilts for single beds so that they overhang. Room was quite cold all night (although a small electric fan was provided this was very noisy..

Beautifully restored and unusual property in a quiet location. Spacious bedroom, extremely comfortable bed with views towards the beach. Although the bathroom is separate, dressing gowns are provided to get to/from the enormous and quirky bathroom. Our host Jonathan was very welcoming, taking time out to tell us about the property and providing insight into places to visit. Nothing seemed too much trouble, a lovely personal touch. Definitely would return to spend a couple of days there and to see more of Liverpool itself.

We would like to thank Yasmin and Jonathan from the bottom of our hearts for their loving hospitality! No request was too much for them and they took all our wishes into account and implemented them. Their historic house makes the heart of every Anglophile beating faster. The loving design down to the smallest detail has amazed us. Furthermore, we woke up with the view of the sea every morning and discovered the beautiful landscape and the tides. The prepared breakfast allowed us to feel like kings and Jonathan‘s recommendations helped us planning our tour through Liverpool. If you want to do some sightseeing in Liverpool or enjoy a quiet holiday on the coast, then go to Yasmin and Jonathan to Aberley House! It's worth it. And don’t forget, you should definitely enjoy a walk to Crosby Beach!

It was amazing!

Our stay was lovely, the house was gorgeous, full of history and in a beautiful location. Jonathan and Yasmin made us feel really welcome and we had a lovely full english breakfast that set us up for the day. A perfect location for Liverpool, easy to reach, and with the Crosby beach on its doorstep the very best way to view Another Place by Anthony Gormley. In fact we could see the statues from our bedroom window, aptly named the Gormley suite!

The House was just fantastic and our room nicely decorated. The host prepared a delicious breakfast, for a minor charge even pancakes one morning. There was a snooker table in the basement and Jonathan shared some nice stories about his album collection. It also felt great to learn about the history of people who had lived in the same street.

Please note that the bathrooms are private but not attached to the room. This worked out well in the end.

Location was great with wonderful sea view. Host was very friendly helped carry bags up the stairs and had brilliant local knowledge and historical knowledge of the street. Breakfast was very tasty especially the home made preserves. Bathroom was amazing even though it was a shared bathroom.

Off road parking I would say is an ambitious claim unless your car is a hatchback but plenty of on street parking as its a cul de sac. Would have preferred tea and coffee facilities to be in the rooms but the selection was generous.
