The staff was attentive and friendly. We had an issue with our toilet, initially, and they fixed it promptly. The air conditioning was a life saver dealing with the heat and humidity. And the breakfast was very good for the cost.

While the area itself is quiet, the animals are very noisy throughout the night — but it is in the Amazon, after all. The curtains in the bedrooms are also very thin so the light got into the rooms until pretty late in the evening. Not a big deal, but just be prepared!

Nice for a short stay, especially if you are planning to continue travelling elsewhere in the Amazon, it is very close to the airport, a bit further from the port of Leticia, 15-20 mins walk from the center, if you are taking an early boat, but a short taxi ride will get you there. Ver beautiful garden where they serve varied breakfast. Clean room with comfortable beds, there was aircon inside.

The hotel is nice, but we were unfortunate to get a room right next to the street and the reception, and as light sleepers that was a bit challenging.

This hotel is so pretty with rooms surrounding a garden and cats loitering everywhere. Breakfast included many choices and was tasty. Some rooms have air conditioning. Showers are only cool water which makes sense given Leticias temperatures. Hotel offers beers, soda, and laundry for a little extra. Within walking distance to both downtown and the airport. Also provide a little jug of potable water in each room as well as a big jug for refills.

The small room was adequate and clean. Only 1 outlet. Cold shower but good pressure. Exceptional large and varied breakfast.

There must be a rooster farm next door because a whole bunch of them started crowing at 3:30 AM. The window shade barely blocks the light from the courtyard and if you’re sensitive to light while you sleep this will be a problem.

Great deal for the money! Hotel has beautiful interior garden/patio with chairs and sofas that is like a little oasis. It is roofed so you can sit there even if it is raining. Rooms are basic and bit small but work. Breakfast was good. Location is 5 min from airport.

Far from the port if you need to go there.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, the location is not far from the park (10 min walking), there is a supermarket a couple of blocks away, and the garden was nice to sit and relax.

All in all it was a very nice stay based the Amazons standards, just a couple of things to improve. I was in the last room and wifi was basically non-existent (wifi/internet issues are a common denominator in the Amazons, but in this case it was also a connection issue with the router - a repeater could help ;) ). 'Free toiletries' is just a couple of mini soaps (no shampoo or shower gel). I could not pay with my non-colombian credit card. I do not know if it was an issue with the hotel's device, the internet connection, or my card (I could use it in several other places, though). Bring cash just in case.

The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful at all hours of the day. The breakfast is great in the morning. The area is conveniently located close to the airport and close to the hustle and bustle of town, yet quiet. The staff are willing to be as involved as you need, from offering advice to arranging tours. The grounds are lovely, as is the main lobby. The rooms are quite basic, I wouldn't go in expecting more than the basics but they are clean and the AC works well.

Wifi was a challenge. Leticia itself is very isolated, so keep this in mind. The hotel's wifi only functioned during odd hours when others were sleeping or out, and didn't work in the room. I had a Claro sim card but where the hotel is located seems to be a dead zone for service too. Plan accordingly for this. We found that the drapes were a little short and wished they went all the way down.

Lovely atmosphere, very helpful staff, good breakfast in the morning

Wifi is spotty outside the main meeting area but this is to be somewhat expected given the hotel's location in a city in the middle of the Amazon rainforest! Also, the showers are cold water only so if you're expecting a hot shower look elsewhere. But honestly, with the heat and humidity, a cold shower is often what you need as a refresh!

It’s like staying in a lovely old antique shop full of charm and interesting features everywhere. The staff couldn’t be more helpful or attentive. A charming place to stay

It’s worth mentioning to new visitors that from the outside there’s no signage, this keeps the character of the street authentic but makes it difficult to find the hotel

This was our second stay at the hotel. Our room this time was so much better than the one with our first stay. Also after having travelled for almost a week in the area, coming back to this hotel felt really good, and made us realise that under these harsh Amazone conditions Madreselva does a very good job.

A shame that the large BF area is only used for BF.
