I had a fantastic stay at the Marriott Hotel & Spa in St. Julian's. I've lived in Malta for a few years now, but - especially for guests visiting the island for the 1st time - the central location is perfect; making access to both the beach and local shops or sightseeing spots a breeze. My room had an absolutely stunning seaside view that was quite calming day & night. The bed was super comfy (great mattress!), the room spacious, and the amenities top notch. I'm a room service gal, and the food was great (both in selection and in quality). It was always very quiet, relaxing, and peaceful. I'd highly recommend the Spa for anyone considering. I received a Microdermabrasion Facial with Ola, and both she and the procedure were exceptional. My skin looked and felt smooth as glass afterwards, and I've already booked a 2nd follow-up with her next month! Ola was not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled as a professional; she was also a lovely and kind person who made the experience one I thoroughly enjoyed. Lastly, the pool was great! Very beautifully set up, and a great place to either get some exercise &/or just chill out. It's open from 7am to 9pm (I believe) - so, it was easy to get a daily dip. I didn't use the gym, so I can't review it, but there is one adjacent to the pool (for anyone interested). There is also a Hair Salon available, but I didn't get any opportunity to visit. However, I'd imagine it's top rate, given the caliber of the Spa and Hotel in all other capacities. 5/5! Couldn't recommend the Marriott/Spa St. Julian's emphatically enough! I liked everything!

We had a Superior Room which was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely selection of items at breakfast and super quality. Staff really friendly and although they couldn't possibly know names as a smaller hotel would, we were recognised over the stay and they still made the effort to visit the table at breakfast most days and check how your stay was going. Service all very prompt. Location is fabulous - directly on Balluta Bay and just seconds from bus stops, restaurants, cafes, an excellent dive centre, small beach, bank and pharmacies and is easy to get everywhere you might want to go. It's nicely busy in the evening but certainly not clubby or noisy for those that need to know! The rooftop pool is pretty small and was busy with children so we sometimes used the peaceful indoor pool, which in the afternoons is adults-only with sauna/steam room etc. We didn't realise until later that they have a much larger outside pool just across the street (signs are by the check-in/Concierge desk) but I think this is new. All in all a really excellent stay - I wouldn't normally stay in a large hotel but we would stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

This is only being very picky, but as the loo is separate to the main bathroom, a small sink for handwashing in the toilet area would be beneficial and more hygienic for guests. Rooms were expensive, but we did book quite late and in August!

• M club on 13th floor was great, my partner spent time working there during the day • Staff was responsive in Marriott app when we made requests several times • Location was great, in a more laid back area, but with beach access and restaurants and within walking distance to busy st Julian area • Had glutten free options at breakfast on request and glutten free option for pasta and bread at reataurant

The room size advertised includes the 2 large balconies we had in our Suite, so the actual room was smaller than we expected. The free wifi was adequate, but we had issues with constant disconnection on several occasions

This was my second stay at the Marriott hotel in Malta and honestly it was so hilarious. I rent a car and even though one of the employees described how to get to the garage I couldn‘t find it. I went to the reception and asked how to get there again, as I didn‘t know what I did wrong 😄. The receptionist was so kind he took the car and drove it to the garage. We celebrated my brother‘s birthday and received the cake and wine as requested. Since that was not enough we got an upgrade as well. Dear Marriott team thank you sooo much for making our stay so wonderful! This was for sure not my last visit!

Great location with buses outside to all the main attractions. Also within walking distance to all main food and shopping locations. Lovely room with a sea view and balcony. The room and lift key card system made it really secure as you cannot access the rooms or pool area without your room card. Staff very helpful and attentive with advice available on transport, attractions etc. Hotel decor and ambience excellent, really high standard after the refurbishment. Breakfast offer was exceptional and catered for all dietary requirements. We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely return to the hotel again if visiting Malta.

The limited hours for kids in the indoor swimming pool. Since hotel is family friendly, they should not limit our access to the swimming pool. Also, the Hotel promoted hop on - hop off buses "I see Malta". The worst service ever, had us waiting 2 hours for our return ride.

Nothing really, my only complaint would be that one day it was raining heavily so the outdoor pools weren’t ideal and children aren’t allowed in the indoor pool between 12-6pm (which we knew) but we were made to leave at 1230 but as paying guests felt that was slightly unfair especially as our child was being no trouble.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malta. Perfect location. Amazing staff - professional, helpful and smiling. They made us an amazing surprise for our anniversary - thank you very much for this, we were totally surprised! The rooms are comfortable and clean. A breakfast buffet has an incredible range of food and drink, definitely something for everyone. The hotel has also two outdoor pools (the rooftop pool is wonderful) and one indoor. All in all perfect :)

Location was excellent, staff helpful room was lovely with perfect views of the Bay. M lounge was excellent with very attentive helpful happy staff.

Was up sold a suite that had noisy aircon and felt small and not as nice as the room we originally booked. We moved after 1 night back to our original room as we had not slept well and even though we were told we would not be charged for the extra premium for the room they still took payment - not impressed. Pool crowded and Spa needs TLC very unloved.

Breakfast was great- large selection of both hot and cold food, cereals, fruit, breads and cakes. The Spa and indoor pool was well designed, immaculately clean and very relaxing. Bedrooms were large and spacious with balcony and sea view. All staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that guests had everything they needed- even came round at night to check if guests needed extra towels, water etc
