The location is fantastic - Monti is a great area to stay in Rome, close to Colosseo and Forum, and a exciting area with restaurants, bars and great small shops. The hotel has a great decor. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite. Bathroom and beds excellent, no noise. The atmosphere is relaxed. The breakfast is outstanding. Above all, the personnel throughout the hotel is outstanding. They are super professional and extremely helpful, fast to take action and kind. They give you a very warm feeling of hospitality. Better than in many luxurious hotels I stayed.

I booked the property because of the reviews about the location and the people and they were spot on! Perfect location which was central to things (you can see the colosseum from the entrance) but it’s also on a relatively quiet street for the area, and the team that work here are all lovely. Friendly and helpful but not over the top. Great stay, thank you.

I wasn’t based in the main hotel but next door which as a solo traveller, I would have preferred being in the main hotel. The lift and door access weren’t brilliant (definitely not for those with mobility or health issues) and took some effort but the room (suite!) was lovely and a real treat.

Perfect location, great staff and good food So, alright, we’ll start with the - very few - negatives. The rest is pure praise. When in the central parts of a big city you need to be prepared for noice. But this was on top of that, partly due to traffic, but mainly due to the fact that we stayed in a room just below the rooftop bar. Since our room was among the more expensive ones and we stayed six nights we were a little bit unhappy. At first. But this friendly, helpful superstar staff helped us as soon as possible and by changing room we had a couple of nights of good sleep. Another thing that could be improved is to check that everything is quickly refilled during breakfast. Priority is to give each guest the best coffee she or he orders, and that’s great but not at the cost of empty plates and guest waiting for cheese, scrambled eggs and bread. Now to the praise: Breakfast is served in the rooftop bar (if you lean out you’ll see the Colosseum) and coffee is made instantly at your request (best coffee!!). Breakfast offer is limiter, yet great: yummy cheese, bread, vegetables, yoghurt, bacon, eggs etc. Staff is friendly, helpful and speak excellent English. It’s cosy and nice to sit outside when starting your day. The room is simple and nice. It’s obvious that someone has really thought about what a Rome hotel guest needs: there’s a safe, water boiler and enough hangers and shelf’s for your stuff. Those of us who are in to music can connect our device to a Marshall loudspeaker. The hotel also holds a restaurant, both the food and wines are delicious. It is a bit pricy, overall. But the location - with most sites within a 20-30 minutes walk is worth it. The neighbourhood is really nice, with a lot of restaurants, bars and gelaterias. We walked a lot, but for those who prefer to ride a bus or subway, they stop nearby.

What a perfect small boutique hotel in great location in Monti, a super cool neighborhood. It also has a wonderful restaurant on street level, and a small hip rooftop bar for drinks at night and free breakfast in the morning. My room was small, but I knew that when I made the reservation because I was traveling alone. The double rooms are bigger. As an added benefit, the hotel also provides numerous free guided walking tours of the Colleseum at night, wine tastings at other rooftop hotels, so sign up for them when you check in. Overall, if you want to stay in Monti, this is where you want to be.

That I had to leave

Had such a lovely stay. The room was comfortable and a decent size. Such a good location, a decent walking distance from a lot of the main tourist attractions, especially the Colosseum, metro and Roma Termini. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast staff, Alessandro, Alessio and Samy were such a delight to see every morning. They even gave a wonderful breakfast surprise on my birthday. It was truly appreciated. They were so welcoming and gave such a nice atmosphere, which was such a good way to start the day. The breakfast food was delicious especially the cappuccino made by Samy. I was even left a nice surprise birthday message and a nice bottle of wine from Federica, Letizie and Rose, the reception staff. They were very helpful and have lots of tips on good attractions to see. Our first interactions with them really set a nice tone for the trip. It was very much appreciated how thoughtful all the staff were. Would definitely recommend to stay here and would see myself booking a room at this hotel again.

The room lights were a little too dim. Other than that it was great.

Breakfast, staff, location, and the restaurant downstairs—10 out of 10. One of the cleaners even went out of her way to help me with our laundry when I needed help urgently, which was such a kind gesture. I wish I could remember the lovely lady who served us each morning and the chef who made me one of the best coffees I had during my three weeks overseas. They were so lovely and welcoming every morning and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We truly wish we could have stayed longer.

Nothing to type here. We loved everything and would stay again when we visit next.

It’s very nice and love the style, well done and super nice, very clean, the bed was perfect firm, and loved the service from everyone, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff is so professional and that’s from the cleaning staff to breakfast staff and in the reception always a smile and a genuine interest in your wellbeing, they all made me feel very well and showed a personal interest in your day, and a patient with me speaking in Italian, very sweet all around. And loved the soundproofing doors made a big difference, and a huge breakfast table on the roof top.

The hotel offered a much needed break from touring around in the scorching summer heat. The room was beautiful, cool, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious in a gorgeous rooftop setting. All the staff was incredibly friendly. And the breakfast staff especially were great, making a wonderful cappuccino! I would love to go back!

The only issue is that being on the 4th floor, we were right below the rooftop where breakfast was served, and so we could hear chairs scraping as guests moved around. We were able to sleep through it, so it wasn’t a real big problem. But if you’re very sensitive to noise, you might ask about that when you check in.

We splurged on the Suite and it was definitely worth it! The private veranda is spacious and provides a beautiful view of Rome. The actual suite is gigantic, clean and comfortable. It's located on the top floor of their second building and can be reached by stairs or an elevator from the first floor (or what we call the 2nd floor if you're American). The suite has 2 separate entrances - one from the stairs and another entrance from the elevator. Staff was extremely helpful. At check-in, we were given vouchers for 2 free drinks and offered free tours of the city through the hotel. They asked what our plans were during our stay and walked us through how to reach them all by transit. There was always someone available to answer our questions, and at check out, they called a taxi to the airport for us. We didn't get a chance to try their breakfast, but we ate at the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, and the food was excellent.

The only downside is the sounds of the city at the night, but that's because it's in a central location and it's outside the hotel's control.

The staff is what makes this place great. I mean seriously. It isn't the owner or the designer. If you think you run or own a great hotel because of reviews like this it is only a great review and a great hotel because of Rosa, Frederica, Joesephina, and Octavio. (I am so sorry if I got anyone's name wrong!!) They were polite, insanely helpful, and they speak multiple languages so they can help many guests. All of the staff, including people who cleaned or did any other duties were fantastic. I just loved all the people there. They were an 11 out of 10!!

The sink in our bathroom was dirty. Once I first got in the room I saw it and was about to walk out of the room to let someone know that it wasn't clean but I realized it was stains all over it. All you have to use is soft scrub with bleach. The counter is a solidsurface countertop, like Corian or something. That would get the staining out with a little scrubbing. It looks like it is only wiped down. Also the pillows nearly gave me neck pain everyday. They were flat as pancakes. That's all!
