The proximity to the beach, it’s a short walk down a path and you have great beach view from the resort restaurant, many places on the grounds, and from many of the rooms (including ours). The amenities were also better than expected: wonderful pool area, poolside bar, poolside hamburger stand, live music by the pool and restaurant, scores of palm trees that add so much to the ambience…overall a great experience and we’ll definitely be back!

The resort isn’t brand new but it’s a great value for the money and is kept up well!

The room was very comfortable, room was clean and it was nice to be located next to the pool and beach. We liked that it was next to a few shops and a good restaurant also. Very convenient to things.

When we booked there was a picture of the high rise and thought we would be in a hotel. Did not know that the picture on bookings.com was of the condo's and not the hotel. Was surprised that we were in rooms that were not in the high rise but instead in these 2 story buildings with doors on the outside like a motel. Also did not know that there was some major renovation going on so there was construction noise all day long when sitting at the pool. Would have been nice to know this before booking.

Cute and clean, loved the little bars throughout the property and it was a short walk to the beach. We had the pool & hot tubs, live acoustic music from the patio bar and the beach all practically at our doorstep (we stayed in the pool view room and it was very convenient to everything the resort had to offer).

The heated pool was not heated while we were there (September) and the hot tub at the heated pool area was also not functioning. The main pool was big enough with two hot tubs though. The TV in our room also did not work. We could have called the front desk but I wasn’t too concerned with the tv.

Clean rooms

Staff not friendly at all.. you need to hire people who really want to work there and be kind.

My room was spacious with an excellent view and located very close to the beach. It was very windy, so I was happy to be in the corner room between two buildings because it was protected somewhat from the Highwinds. Everybody was very nice and helpful. Having live music for both nights of my stay was a huge bonus. I really liked the dining choices especially having four bars available.

The ice machine nearest my room was not working, so I had to walk down a flight of stairs and back up to fill my ice bucket. During my stay, I trapped a cockroach in one of my complementary water cups and left it for the cleaning staff to take care of, but I would’ve preferred not to find any cockroaches during my stay.

Our room wasn't ready at the time of arrival. Kids wanted to swim, so we had to go change in a public restroom upstairs. We had to walk all over the place to find one that wasn't locked. The pool water was a bit cloudy and itchy. We had dinner at the upstairs restaurant, and we were not happy with such slow service, while the restaurant was not busy at all. The pool area was a bit dirty, where people just left their trash lying around, and food spilled on the floors, which was attracting lots of aunts.

The room was nice, it’s been updated and they have a nice Beach feeling. The bed is comfortable and the pillows are nice to rest in. It has a nice view of the beach. The staff was courteous and fast to fix an issue. The housekeeper was also very attentive to what we needed for the stay.

I had requested a Beach view but closer to the pool since my husband is handicap and is not available. On our previous stay hotel had the complementary handicap chair and this time it was not an option so I had to bring our own. We had an issue with no warm water to take a shower however maintained was fast to fix in less than 5 minutes.

How close it was to the beach ! I love the chairs on the cabana porches.

Needs a bit of updating. Would also be great to have microwaves in the room

We loved the resort! We stayed in the 'old', but best part of the hotel. We had a beach and pool view and it was beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was our first time to SPI and we couldn't be happier! Best beach ever! Thank you for making our trip a memorable experience!

There was no microwave in our room, not too terrible, but would have been nice!
